I would probably put Bret Bielema at number 4.  He may have failed at Arkansas but he didn't at Wisconsin.

I would agree. Dude won big at wiscy and has put some juice into Illinois. Fickell lost at Ohio state, fleck has been the annoying version of ferentz.  We will see with Rhule but I am buying what he is selling.

They could. I’m a high school AD. NIL is legal in Nebraska. I know of a baseball player from Nebraska that had national NIL deals who is committed to an SEC baseball school. Our kids here don’t even have to agree on a scholarship.

If you are interested you can read the rules set by the NSAA if you Google it.

Doesn’t Missouri NIL have a stipulation that you can only receive NIL money in Hs if you attend an in state college.

Rhule will be essentially doing the same thing, just over two years instead of just one.

That tells you a lot about the roster under Frost. A complete inability to develop high school players.

True, But it is also a completely new philosophy on both sides of the ball so I would imagine some of the existing players might not fit the mold of what this staff is looking for.

You expect heavy attrition going from a spread and 3-4 to a pro style and 3-3

I just hope when it’s all said and done this class will hold up. I’m not talking about any recruit specifically but there are always at least a couple of cracks within the commitments every year resulting in a couple decommitments. Hopefully luck is on our side, but it seems likely to happen.

That is true, but when that happens we are usually trying to fill 8-10 spots and lose 2 or 3 guys. That puts the class in a bind and could put you at risk for a couple reaches at the end of the class.

We might have 22-23 of our 25 man class sealed up by the beginning of July. Much easier to hone in on filling our current class and continue looking for big senior year kids to offer.

Also seems like the kids they are taking commitments from are kids that want to be here.

It's best to trust the consensus of all power 5 coaches than assume that your preffered teams head coach is a football genius that can see things in prospects that other coaches cannot see.

"Trust the coaches" is what fans of every talent deprived team says when they recruit players nobody else wants.

Or you can trust recruiting services who have 30/40 guys with little coaching experience, evaluating guys from all position groups from all over the country against all different kinds of levels of competition. Either way it is a grab bag. Most of our staff has p5 or nfl experience and have had hands on experience with these players. It is also June so we are not just filling spots to fill spots. I think the staff really likes these guys or they wouldn’t accept the commitment.   But we will all have to wait a few years to see who is right. I am personally excited to see local guys excited to be N!!

Nebraska beat out Missouri Southern State for this one.

Matt Rhule is going to have to turn Nebraska into the best developmental program in the country with the talent they're bringing in. This is pretty pathetic.

Easy,  My buddy is the HC there and he knows some defensive talent.

The problem is that when huge chunks of the roster need development, it's a bad omen.

Dozens of other coaches have seen the film and works camp circuits. They chose not to offer.

This recruiting is flat out not good enough.

If we Wanted to recruit right now we would have hired hugh freeze. This is how Rhule works. I will trust their eye until it proves to be wrong.

They mentioned how hands on Rhule is at camps. At a lot of camps the head coach will make an appearance and that is about it.

Lots of the developmental guys coming up

Yep. Isn’t that kind of Rhules strength?  Hard to develop a maxed out HS kid without the measureables. Hard to recruit the developed Hs recruit with the measureables.

Good thing is that our coaches have worked with these guys at camps and have seen them in first person move.

    Jesus is indeed... epic.

    Matthew 11:28-30

28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

    John 14:6

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

He is. That is about the only thing I can agree with you about.

I can't find anywhere the government said interest would still accrue when loan repayments were on pause. Care to share?

I am pretty sure when the repayments froze the interest was frozen too.  You were given the option to continue making payments if you wanted to.

He only got an invite because his receivers carried him there….
    :sarcasm

no kidding.  Should we contact the Elite 11 and tell them that he has 2 good WR's on his HS football team?  Did he take Hall and Mcmorris with him to qualify?

Sounds like a classic case of guy thinks he is better than he really is. Maybe there were some promises being thrown around that never got met but the reality is he just never played up to par.

Agree.  Tweener type kid.  Didnt seem to have the cover skills as a corner.  Didnt seem to have the size and physicality of a safety. At the end of the day if the kid could play he would have seen the field.  He played for a 4 win big ten west team.

  13. Kid has a great offer list and is local and some are disappointed with the news he could be a commit soon. Odd. Lincoln Riley had him Out for a visit and he is a decent QB evaluator.

Canes ranked 96th in rushing offense last year.  For perspective Nebraska ranked 100th.

Having said that I'm happy for AA.

3rd string RB transfers from a poor rushing offense. Canes fans gotta be pumped. Especially being a state loaded with talent.

  15. Kid is a freak of nature.  You tell people about how dominant he is and it is just hard to believe until you see it.  Mom and Dad were both Olympic throwers.  Dad was a 5 time world champ in the shot and mom 2 time NCAA champ.  Also scored a 33 on his ACT as a freshman too.
