thanks for the replys......i agree with both posters and their thoughts...time will tell, but most of the defensive talent was the same as the year before, i am still just trying to figure the "fall-off" in play........it just seemed like the boys were confused with the defensive philosophy.......it was just painful to watch what i considered would be at least their strong point with some consistency......sure the oposition had talent, but we just seemed to be standing around out there so many times, with a look of confusion IMHO....and that is indicative of a coaching prob..
lots of good defensive players coming on board this fall, so if the results aren't better, we may indeed have a prob with BC's buddy.........hopefully I am wrong
........also a good coach will coach/play his guys to their strength, (zone or MTM)not just to his system (at least not until the talent arrives to make that scheme work in his system) if he wants good results NOW.......i think both BC and KC were a little more caught up with instilling their "systems" whether the talent was available or not, which probably cost NU some wins, in the short run at least....
