  1. Oklahoma will shut us out unless they start to come up with some more creative plays on offense. These same old plays over and over ain't gonna work.
  2. No offense, but the offense has looked worse today (even though they're winning) than it has the past 2 weeks in losses.
  3. I am still predicting the Independence Bowl vs. Auburn.
  4. FYI, rivals.com released their bowl projections, and currently predict the Huskers to play in the Alamo Bowl against Michigan State. Woohoo. http://collegefootball.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1007579
  5. Baylor 14-NU 13 The downward spiral continues...
  6. No offense to the young man, but we need 4 and 5-star recruits. If you want to be a mediocre team, recruit mediocre players. If you want to be competing for a national championship, you gotta get the top echelon players. A prime example is Nick Saban at Alabama. Look at what he's done in just 2 years in Tuscaloosa, using top-tier recruiting. Saban wouldn't have even given this kid a look.
  7. I think 0-5 is highly unlikely; 1-4 is possible; 2-3 is probable; 3-2 is optimistic; 4-1 is highly unlikely; 5-0 is Kool-Aid. We'll probably end up in the Independence Bowl against some 2nd-tier SEC team.
  8. Husker football was built around the option. Many people nowadays claim that it would be ineffective against defenses nowadays, but IMO, I think it can still be highly effective if run properly. A power running game + play action passing mixed in is tough combination to stop. You can't tell me that the '83 or '95 teams wouldn't be able to score against teams of today. Bottom line is, you have to be able to recruit top talent to come to Lincoln. So far, I haven't been impressed with this staff's recruiting. I've been a Husker fan since the early 80s, and I'm still not convinced that Pelini can get the job done. I'm starting to think that we need to get an ESTABLISHED successful coach who is a good recruiter. If Nick Saban can turn around Alabama and get top talent to come to Tuscaloosa for God's sake, why can't they get top talent to come to Lincoln?
  9. John Gruden? LOL... he isn't going to accept an OC position. He is head coach material, not to mention he makes more $$ working as a TV analyst.
  10. I didn't think TT was any better than NU; I feel like NU self-destructed. Any time they had any type of momentum going, they'd have a dumb penalty or dropped pass and mess it all up.
  11. Nope... not until now. Come on guys, get a TD here and we're right back in it. We just need a little momentum. Time for Green to show his WHEELS
  12. If the ball hits you in the hands, you gotta grab it, no excuses...
  13. Thank God for the defense, otherwise this could be REALLY ugly.
  14. Thank God for the defense, otherwise this could be REALLY ugly.
  15. Yep... Green is extremely accurate against SF Community College level competition, but not against D-1 competition.
  16. Running that same play up the middle over and over again w/ Helu just isn't gonna work.
  17. I say give Lee one more series, and if he can't get some points, go with Cody Green. Lee has shown 3x now that he's not a good big-game QB.
  18. Yeah... but if your offense can't move the ball, 21 points is a huge lead.
  19. I personally think they should have waited until AFTER the TX Tech game to hand them out. If TX Tech blitzes them, it's going to look like it was a premature move.
  20. I pray that this coverage map is accurate. I am in the heart of SEC country (Baton Rouge), but according to the map, I'll be able to catch NU.
  21. I saw that girl that day... actually, there were 2 of them (if you look on the left, you can see the back of the other one.) Neither of them were too good-looking, IMO. But at the same time, I certainly appreciated their effort.
  22. I live in Baton Rouge, and I hate LSU with a passion, but one thing I will say is that LSU is BY FAR the best place to tailgate.
