  1. That's a good time to get that, since it's better/less disturbing to go thru this life half conscious.
  2. Look, you guys can't just come around and say, "I win", or post one emoticon and expect to be a true winner, even if they happen to shut down this thread by coinky dink on your lack-of-effort post. Now c'mon, put some potatoes into it, Bo is watching and you don't wanna p.o. BO!
  3. Hey, I'm not just trying to be a jerk, I've watched Sharp: he's too small which means he's easy to bring down, like with one handed tackles, and he's not that great between the tackles and not that elusive around the edge. He's not going to run away from anybody. He needs a stellar line blocking for him to make him look 'good'. But other than that, yea, he's great . Reesing is actually tougher to bring down than Sharp from what I've seen. You gotta hit Reesing real good and wrap up, otherwise, gonzo. Strong legs! Sharp didn't do much against NE, we stuffed him in the 1st half and he got a little off the option in the 2nd because he got some blocks. KU's lack of a run game vs NE was a big part of why you guys lost that one. Conversely, Helu ran up and down you guys all day long. Helu is a really good back. Just sayin', that's how I objectively see it. That big huge guy you had in '07 was what I would call a very good back. Look, I'm trying to do you a favor here, if KU doesn't get their run game up to snuff, they are going nowhere.
  4. Well, I was going to say it appears his future is in baseball, so he should go in that direction.....but I think we could really use his talents on the FB field! I think he might be able to play both, and the way it looking both teams need him to play Well, more power to him if he can pull it off.
  5. does the word Sproles mean anything to you, there have been countless guys who have been "too small" that have continued to play great even in the pros, I hate when people use size of an RB as a reason they are not good. Anyways KU will be good, but NU will also be good. I dont think it will determine the North, it WILL be a great game, not a blowout from either side Also you have to ask your self do you want NU to go to the big12 championship game and lose? I can see the positives and negatives for that, but I am hesitant in wanting to go and get killed by a south team (UT, OU, OSU) Well, it's not just that Sharp is too small, he's just not that good. He's no Sproles, different animal altogether. But even Sproles will never be an every down back in the League--because of his size. And sure, I want us to get to the CCG game. It's a step in the right direction. We may lose, but I don't think we'll get blown out because of the strength of our D--and it's amazing that I can type that last part considering our D in '07.
  6. Dude. WTF strain of kind bud did you score on Mass Street this weekend? Are you kidding me? Being in Lawrence actually equates to home field advantage? Honestly? I've been there. It's nice, for a high school facility. Nice track, BTW. IONS? I guess I could see a lot of static discharge every time Mangino's thighs rub together when he's walking, but otherwise I'm not following you. You remember what long seasons are like, right? I'm assuming you followed KU football before the stars aligned and miracle '07 season unfolded, but just as a reminder, imagine this guy sitting on your head and farting: KU couldn't beat NU by two touchdowns even if Jaleel White was the starting Husker QB. Friggin' hilarious response! That KU guy says the darndest things.....
  7. yea, but the BCS rankings are influenced by the others when the BCS rankings start. It's calculated by averaging the percent totals of the Harris Interactive, USA Today Coaches and Computer polls Yes, so doesn't that mean it is an advantage to be ranked highly in the Coaches' poll b4 the BCS polls start? I think the coaches had a big influence on where Utah finished, moreso than the computers. But I don't have the 'inside dish'.
  8. Mob? Who are you Tony Soprano? ya-z gotta problem w dat?
  9. We are grasping the loss of Ganz just fine. You don't seem to be. Zac Taylor came into this offense with one spring and did pretty well. Joe Ganz sat for for years and was pretty much great the moment he stepped on the field. Whoever gets the job will have at least one year and likely more in the system (even if we go with the freshman phenom he's already on campus and will be ahead of where Taylor was going into his first game) Most expect either Zac Lee or Patrick Witt to take the starting job, Both have at least two full years in the system and have worked with their top receiving targets for quite some time. For example, Zac Lee is a Junior, he has been in the system for three years, he came in to the system and Melenik Holt was already here and Mike McNeill and Niles Paul arrived with him. They aren't exactly strangers to one another and have had plenty of time to get acclimated. The reason Ganz did so well out of the gate is because he worked with his top wide receivers for several years before getting into a game and they were already a well oiled unit... I don't really see this next group being a whole lot different. Our QB play isn't expected to be at Ganz's level of play but if it's 2005 Taylor or better we win the North and that isn't exactly impossible, let alone improbable. In fact I think we can definitely expect our QB play to be somewhere between 2005 Zac Taylor Production and 2008 Joe Ganz Production. Expecially considering that McNeill is a great saftey valve. And considering that this next QB will have a FAR better situation to come into than our previous two QB's, exceeding what even Ganz did isn't completely out of the question either. Our line is great, our running game is the best in the division, and our defense is stout. All those tools make it MUCH easier for a QB to get used to game speed without having to carry the team and they won't be expected to be the guy to rebuild a program. - all things Joe Ganz didn't have the luxury of. Besides, it's not like this game is the first game of the season, it's the 10th game. By this game our QB will have gone to Blacksburg, Gone to Columbia and played Oklahoma at home.. he'll already be a seasoned vet by the time we go to Lawrence. And the Jayhawk defense isn't exactly intimidating - nor is the environment. Also to the guy who said KU has the best facilities outside of Texas... you were joking right? I've seen your facilities. They are far better than MU, BU, TT, KSU and ISU and slightly better than Colorado's. They are about right on par with Texas A$M in the conference. But they are FAR below Nebraska, Texas, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. A+ post!
  10. Hmm.... this seems vaguely familiar..... | | | | V TOUCHE'! That is just too funny!
  11. yup. Plus, our QB play should be in pretty good shape by the time we play KU, but I suspect we will have a stout running game next year and rely on that more. THis is an important point. If you opened Big 12 play with us, i would like our chances even better. Yea, perhaps, sorta like us playing Mizzou early in '08--we may have had a better shot at year's end. I'm really liking the thought of what our D is going to be right outta the gate though.
  12. Respectfully I would say that Q is a better back than Spiller. Spiller does not like contact. Q has knocked about 3-4 safeties outta games in his young career. At 235lbs, he has some very good speed and moves for a big guy. Great between the tackles which I don't really see from Spiller. Spiller is a heckuva talent, but I take Q on my team. Gator Bowl: Q--125 yds, Spiller--2 Not trying to start an argument, just voicing my opinion. Yeah, but 1 on 1, I like my chances with Q over Spiller. I don't really like my chances with either though. And Q had a much better Gator Bowl than CJ, but I'd gladly take either on my team with a good o-line K, you're talking 'fight club' here. Well, have at it! Yea, they would make a helluva duo. What's with that Davis guy, he seems to underachieve?
  13. Wow, I say Wow, it might be 'ScamWow' after all.... How I'm gonna mop up my coffee then?
  14. I think it's a foregone conclusion that the ShamWow guy is gonna win here. I mean, how can anything/one compete with ShamWow, it says so in the add! But that doesn't mean the rest of us can't give it our all!

  16. Guy, nothin scares that 'cacti guy' BTW, what the hell did I do to you? hey, I'm just messin' w ya'll, all in fun, didn't mean any disrespect.....it's cool.... Ok good...just to let you know...I'd take him on head on. I would get ran over and possibly knocked out, but that's not the point. You're a better man than I, I wouldn't get within the same state as Q on a rampage. I like living too much!
  17. Guy, nothin scares that 'cacti guy' BTW, what the hell did I do to you? hey, I'm just messin' w ya'll, all in fun, didn't mean any disrespect.....it's cool....
  18. word. I feel sorry for the l'il guy already, it's gonna be ugly.
  19. Ha, this should scare that Cacti guy off....
  20. OMG, of course! Helu, Castille, cr@p I'd take Mendoza over Sharp in a NY second. Let's see, Okafor's coming in, he's a bruiser, who else?
  21. You just can't be serious about that! I can't even respond, it's so far off the mark....almost every other team in the conference has better rbs than KU. Sharp and Reesing are about as intimidating as this guy-->
  22. Did I miss something? Did KU level their stadium and build a new 'big boy' stadium? They still sit on that hill off the one end zone don't they? Hmm, musta missed that one.... But c'mon, how much oak and maple can you put in your lockerroom, it can't be any better than ours or TX or OSU or OU. And I seriously doubt your weight facility is better than ours. Your trophy case, has like 1 trophy, right?
