  1. Hey guys, I haven't been on here for months so I thought this topic would be a good one to respond to... Don't make fun of my fellow Hokie friend. He is a true fan. He buys two season tickets each year. One for each butt cheek.
  2. Why hasn't this troll idiot been banned yet? WTF Knapp - my flag football team didn't turn the ball over "8" times this morning. Dude, it's beyond pathetic that you're asking IOWA STATE to carry your banner. Your team won the North two years running and you're relegated to this. And tell you what - you get to call us "Nub" when you beat us again. Until then it's NEBRASKA to you. Got it? Hey, can you post a picture of the Sun Belt trophy? Just wondering what it looks like. Thanks. What does it feel like to get beaten by Nebraska at your own house? I am just curious because that has not happened to my team. I am really, really interested. How does it feel? GOD IT MUST SUCK HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAH. I'm sure it hasn't because you play in the ACC. There's no Big 12 caliber teams that come to your house. Enjoy being in the cellar, unranked, and just an an overall bad team. Ga Tech, Miami, and VT, we will all wave "hello" to you from our top 15 positions. Tell coach to not bring that lame triple option crap when you play a big boy program. It will make you look like the Nub's today when you fumble the ball all over the yard. We all know that "triple option" means something completely different in MO so don't get to too excited...

Looking forward to seeing you finish last this year in B12 north.

  5. Why hasn't this troll idiot been banned yet? Knapplc, don't worry! After Texas hands it to them later on tonight he will be gone for a while! As bad as this loss may be, just remind yourself that you are a Husker fan and that these trolls live to see you down on yourself. Cheer up friends!
  6. Can't argue with that YellowJacket! I am almost in tears with this Husker team. For once we had this game on TV here in Blacksburg and between having to watch GT beat UVA and see the Huskers shoot themselves in the foot over and over and over again it made for a loooong afternoon. Great game Jackets! And Huskers... things can only get better after this...
  7. Hey husker-friends! OK, so we both got punched in the face this weekend. Let's give our credits to the Texas Tech and Ga Tech teams this week. Both teams showed up better prepared and we are both back to reality. Our 19 and 20 year "idols" let us down when we needed a win the most. Blame it on Bo or Beamer, truth is that we are upset and that we would have loved for our teams to have earned national respect this past weekend. As much as I would have loved to blame it on the S.O.A.B Yellow Jacket fan who threw beer on me and the old lady standing next to me in the players' guest section in Atlanta on Saturday had nothing to do with my team failing to do what they should have done: stop the damn run.... After driving six hours back from Atlanta to Blacksburg Sunday morning with my girlfriend sleeping in the passenger seat, I am convinced that watching my beloved Hokies lose that makes me love them even more when they win. I am also more excited to know that I don't throw beer at my opposing fans when we win. I don't mean to imply that Ga Tech fans are any worse than Va Tech fans. In fact, jerks are all around us and it is the way we handle losses like this that make us great fans. Next week when your Huskers win you will be extra excited. Not only because your team won, but because you remained a true and classy fan when you wanted to throw a beer and curse the opposing team and fans. So, let's have a cold one and move on together... 8. Best of luck and may you stay undefeated in Big 12 play tomorrow! Waiting for my girlfriend to get off work so we can drive our six hours to Atlanta tonight and thought I would stop by HuskerBoard before we get in the truck. BEAT THOSE RAIDERS & GBR!!!!!
  9. Good luck to the Huskers this weekend! We will be pulling for you. On a different note, the Yellow Jacket fans I have met in Atlanta and here in Blacksburg have aways been nothing but classy. We are driving down after work tonight and I can't wait for a hard-fought game against an excellent offense.
  10. Hey guys, yes it was a great game today at Lane although we only played our starters for the first half. Yes, it's almost unreal how inept you all made us look on O when compared to how we play these other teams. I was a little down on our team after Tiger Tim's analysis last week which ridiculed us for not beating Duke by more... Haha, what a great week to be a Hokie/Husker fan!!!
  11. Congrats on a big win in Missouri. It was very satisfying to see how your D played since one of the Missouri fans called me "delusional" when I predicted that their O would struggle to score 9 on the Husker D. Oh well, so you let them have 12. We watched the game at one of the bars in Blacksburg and it got LOUD when Paul got the first TD in the 4th quarter. Nicely done!
  12. ...and Virginia Tech beat Miami by 24. Miami is now up 21-10 against OU. How come OU is 8th in the polls???
  13. "there is no doubt that VTECH will play in a BCS bowl as far as im concerned, they have been the OU of the ACC for a while now and they are a shoe in for a BCS game! " BTW, being the OU of a conference implies a certain level of excellence beyond winning your conference. Unless you consider Toledo the OU of the MAC as a legit comparison. OU has won 6 conference championships outright this decade, a national championship, and finished in the top 10 7 times and the top 5 five times. VT has won the much weaker ACC twice, no national championships, and finished in the top 10 3 times, and none in the top 5. Three times!
  14. http://www.telesis-inc.com/empyrean/ THAT'S IT!!!! It was great. Thanks man. I appreciate it!
  15. Bookmark this post Doc. Let's talk about Illinois at the end of the season, eh? I bet it's not pretty. Let's also talk VaTech at the end of the season. I'm going to say that IF Illinois makes a bowl . . . it's a terrible one. And conversely, I'm willing to bet that VaTech plays in a BCS bowl. Carlfense, you are my man! As much as I would love to play the Huskers, I have a feeling our luck is eventually going to run out against your guys so I almost hope we won't see you all in a bowl game.... I hope both our teams will play after New Years. there is no doubt that VTECH will play in a BCS bowl as far as im concerned, they have been the OU of the ACC for a while now and they are a shoe in for a BCS game! i personally would put NU at a 2:1 chance of making a BCS bowl and MU at a 5:1 chance....just my opinion...but its also the opinion of most of the nation.....! I predicted that NU would beat OU months ago. I still think that is realistic in Lincoln. I also predicted that you would lose one game that you should have won - and I think we all know which game that is.... (for those of you that can't remember, that would be the game that NU only played for 58 minutes...). Based on that I think NU has a great shot at making a BCS game. It does, however, start with taking business on Thursday. I know you will have a large fan base here in Blacksburg when the game kicks off!!!
  16. Isn't watching these two play the same watching as pillow fight between two ugly women? Or you and your wife having sex... Hahaha... I am driving 400 miles tomorrow (roundtrip) to see my team take on the mighty Blue Devils of Duke. If we lose, I will donate my vehicle to charity and walk home. And I will never watch college football again.

  18. I always drink Miller before any of our games. Then, I usually brink a flask with Jack Daniels to Lane and I mix it with coke once the kickers start warming up. Tomorrow morning I am driving 3 hours down to Durham, NC to see our guys take on Duke - which means I won't be drinking anything. If we don't beat Duke I'll probably skip the coke and do some straight Jack once I get home... Since this topic was brought up... we went out after the VT-NU game in Lincoln last year to some pizza place and we had some kind of local beer. What would that have been? It was really good.
  19. Haha. I can relate to Michael's post. Living and breathing VT football I have gotten immune to hearing that we are overrated year in and year out. When we do beat top 20 teams those teams are overrated as well and that's the reason why we won the game. As frustrated as I can get with our offense, however, I always come to the conclusion that I enjoy winning 10+ games a year. As most fans I would love to see an offense that would blow people away, but that is not how Beamer operates. Every message board in the ACC talks about how "lucky" we are and that they lost because they shot themselves in the foot (I'm not counting the game against the Huskers this year as one of those - you did outplay us and we got lucky). Every team in the ACC is better than VT if you believe the fans. As you all know, we tend to make great QBs struggle, and last time I saw a team dominate us at Lane like the Huskers did was the 2006 Georgia Tech with Calvin Johnson at WR and Miami in 2005. The Husker team that had us for 58 minutes is really strong. I can't wait to see the Husker D against some of the Big 12 offenses. I know you would have liked to beat us 10 days ago, but had you beaten us the opposing fans would have said VT was overrated no matter what.
  20. Dude, are you serious? This is hilarious. I may be wrong....I've been wrong before....but to think this might be true is ludicrous. I'm not saying your team isn't good. Having watched two of your games I just have no reason to believe that you will put up a lot of points on a Nebraska D which is playing as well as any D in the nation. I think your team is going to have a rude awakening when the Huskers roll into town. I don't think you will do that much better against the Jayhawks either. Bowling Green and Nevada had your number and both those teams are on par with the Sunbelt teams.
  21. agreed. Haha. The more I read these posts from the Mizzou fans the more I start to think that Columbia, MO is the Coral Gables of the Midwest... minus the hot girls
  22. How do you figure you look better? I'm just saying, all you have to hang your hat on is a loss to a potentially really good team. You looked good on defense in that loss, but Mizzou has a far superior offense to Virginia Tech. You've played no other good competition, so it's hard to say how that will play out. As for "cumulative score", the response was that we had lost talent and gotten worse, and you had lost talent and gotten better. Not only do I disagree with that, but simply losing talent isn't enough, because you have a lot of ground from last year to this year to make up. Now, to be fair, I know that's a low blow, because NU has improved since that game, even last year. But I just don't understand where the default position is NU got better and MU got worse. Did the superior D's of Bowling Green or Nevada make you come to that conclusion? I would be shocked if Mizzou scores more than 9 points on the Nebraska D.
  23. Thanks guys! Yes, it was a pleasure sticking it to the Canes... What a change from last week though... (and I'm not talking about the game itself). After having thousands of Husker fans that were all just classy and fun to have in town, the Canes fans were few and far between. They were also fairly quick leaving in the fourth quarter... They have been talking about ripping the "toothless bastards" (i.e. the Hokies) and "flubber neck" (i.e. Beamer) for an entire week now on their message boards so I am sure they were busy leaving when they got destroyed in the rain. The only ones that were dry yesterday were the ESPN analysts, because they were so far up J. Harris' as% that they were probably not exposed to the rain at all Oh, and congrats on the win! You all are in good shape for conference play!
  24. Just wanted to stop by and wish you all the best for the 300th sellout. I hope for a solid rebound for your team. On my way to our tailgate at Lane, but I just had to check in with my Husker friends first. Give 'em hell Huskers!
