  1. Does anyone know of a site that has pictures or video clips from the spring game? Or does anyone have some on their computer?
  2. Its perfectly fine to have two of the captains that are quite. They will be the ones leading by example on the practice field as well as on game day anyway. So put a greater emphasis on their work ethic and actions by them being captains. As long as all of the captains are not quiet it will be fine. Leading by example is just as good as yelling and screaming, but teams definitely need both.
  3. We did bring in Bowman to help with our secondary situation... he wont be as good as the two that left, but he will be better than throwing a freshmen into the mix right out of the gate. Bowman is supposed to be an immediate player according to the majority of people on this board in another thread, so we should have less worries about our D backs. However we will have to work with the secondary as they progress.
  4. Taylor will succeed where Daily failed because he is a west coast quarterback. Daily was playing in a system not meant for him or his type of quarterback for that matter. Yea of course Daily will be better this year just because he knows the system better, but Taylor is made to play in the WCO and that will be the difference between them.
  5. I think Cal, Michigan St, for Florida would all be amazing games to be televised nationally.
  6. The option will not work anymore... even if we have the right type of players in position. The option is dead not because of the lack of offesive players suited for the option playbook, but because the overall speed of defensive squads is just too overwhelming for an option attack. Since the option is a slow developing play, nowadays you have big ol' d linemen chasing the qb down from behind. teams like miami and FSU have just too much speed to run the option against. Yea it will work against teams like Baylor and Kansas but not once we get to the bowl games. We had to make the switch.
  7. I am not surprised that 3 people voted that... alot of people are doubting NU's ability to make a comeback to the top tier of college football. I know for a fact just browsing around this site that alot of people dont believe BC is the man that will take NU back to the top. 3 people isnt even really that much.
  8. If you also include husker flops in the pro's you can also consider eric crouch even though he was very successful at NU. What are some of the other flops by huskers in the pro ranks?
  9. BC's system last year could be the equivalent of windows xp before they got rid of all the bugs n glitches.... just give it time, and i think it will come to be successful.
  10. I would also have to go with Incognito... he is one scary dude.
  11. Any change in the Nebraska football program is going to face adversity at first untill people get used to it. This even goes for things as simple as turf patterns.
  12. Not so great for Harrison Beck... he will turn out to be a good qb anyway. Zac Taylor is just keeping his seat warm. Beck will lead us to a BCS game in a few years.
  13. BC was also rebuilding and implanting an entire new system...once his system is in place as it is this year then we can tear him a new one if they go 5-6 but he deserves a season to put in the WCO and let his recruiting machine take effect. So far im very impressed with the recruiting job done by this regime. Now all we need is the rest of his plan to fall into place.
  14. I agree the TT game will definitely be the crucial point in the schedule where we find out what kind of team we have. TT will be a real test for us again this year, and perhaps we will be a little more prepared than last year for their offense because another game like that and we can kiss the season goodbye. However i think we'll fair much better this year against them.
  15. That's cause Tony G is the best tight end in the league... and when young hopefuls like K2 crash the motorcycles they arent supposed to be riding he gets less competition at the upper tier at TE.
  16. He should fit in nicely as josh did, we will see how he performs in actual games though
  17. Yea I agree, we have to keep the old Nebraska football traditions alive
  18. Very nice article... good luck to the Huskers
  19. Is it in South Bend or at USC? If it is at ND then thats two tough road games that could be huge upsets for USC
  20. Absolutely its a good thing.... imagine the TV exposure if we play well against them, it can only help the big, red, recruiting machine. As long as we give them a game, even in a loss it will be a good thing.
  21. USC is gonna be loaded with talent for at least the next 4 years especially at QB Sanchez is going to be a really good qb and we are gonna have a tough time with him in the future... hopefully we get our talent level up there and put up a fight which i think we will
  22. Now he can concentrate on becoming a play maker for us.
  23. Yea, i agree, one of them is the man for NU we just dont know which one yet. All three would be capable, but one will ascend to the starting spot eventually leaving the other two behind.
  24. I think BC should keep the competition between them alive, even if one pulls away a little bit. The extra push in practice will just make them both better players.
  25. I also think Dillard will have the starting spot by the time the season rolls around. Dillard's abilities and athleticism are what the defense needs to improve upon from last year.
