  1. This is what I heard.. Tom Osborne and Bill Snyder are leaving together to replace Dan Hawkins at Colorado as co-head coaches because Colorado really needs a couple of "Menters"!!! (THERE IS AN O IN THAT WORD T.O.!!) Frank Solich is going to take over as athletic director at Nebraska and will coach the Omaha Beef Part time. Menolik Holt has been possessed by demons and has to be exorcised before he can return to practice. Shawn Watson has been hired at Texas Tech because they need a new offensive coordinator due to lack of offensive production. Ndamukong Suh is starting next week for the Minnesota vikings because he wants to be a part of the purple people eater dreamboat season! (PS, they already decided to give him the Outland, Lombardi and Heisman and will mail them to his new condo in Minneapolis at the end of the year) Alex Henrey and Ndamukon Suh got in a fistfight and Henery got suspended for 6 years for working over the Sunami! They handed out the blackshirts to the second team offense. Cody Green's name and number are embroidered in gold. anything else?? oh yeah.. They are going to hold football games at a New Stadium in Grand Island beginning 2011 citing an attendence problem in Lincoln and claiming it will be more economical for the state..
  2. Oh yeah.. If you knew anything about Bo the coach, thats him all the way! He's all about the easy road and finding the easiest way to do things. Exactly the kind of charechter he posses and exactly why Tom Osborne thought he would be such a great fit. You know ole Oz, all about the easy road.. Because we all know the easy road breeds success!! Coaches with that kind of attitude always get so far.. !! I mean just consider these fine hall of game coaches with the same attitude................
  3. Bringing Green in to motivate Lee only if Lee is struggling. The motivation being, "Start making plays son or you just might lose the job." It's been done and it's worked before.. Like I said what I've seen so far this season shows me Lee is a major headcase. It's shown in his play. When he's down it takes big plays to get him up. You see his attitude on the sideline after big plays. He's excited, he's giving you that joker smirk. he's rolling and his play shows it. Headcases can be motivated in many ways but it can backfire.
  4. It's kind of interesting territory. On one hand you have a quarterback who has shown flashes of greatness but has been overall average and somewhat inconsistant. You know he's capable of making a big play but when the kid is down it's hard for him to get back up without motivation. He's a headcase and it shows. You can put in Green for a series or two and hope that it motivates Lee to play better. On the other hand if Green starts lighting it up Tommie Frazier style you have a full fledged Quarterback controversy on your hands. Also if you put Green in and he struggles you have rolled the dice that you didn't motivate Lee with that move and instead made him more self consious, less confident, thus causing Lee the headcase to suck to high hell if you try to throw him back in. It's dangerous territory and I for one hope Lee has the best game of his life, giving him more confidence to approach the rest of the season with.
  5. I hope Kansas wins every game they play until we visit them in Lawrence. I would like to see Nebraska play a Top 10, undefeated team on the road. We still have something to prove on that front. Kansas, while unlikely, is still the best chance of that happening. I'm sure Kansas wants Nebraska to keep on winning for the same reasons.
  6. Any player could take one shot and their season could be over. No use worrying about it. You make the best out of what you have. Things will be ok, you don't ride the bench at Nebraska if you don't have at least a little talent.
  7. Matt Slauson joins the group!! Slauson is missing the mouth paint and the eye paint isn't quite elaborate enough otherwise he'd almost be cool enough to join this costume party.
  8. Just a quick question. Whats wrong with Roy Helu playing running back? If I'm not mistaken he is the starting running back and even though Helu appearently had the flu he took the snaps at running back on all but about 6 snaps.. I'm sure Mendoza,Jones,Ward, or Okafor can give him a breather if he needs it..
  9. You and I will have to disagree with this. I believe kicking someone when they are down is classless.
  10. Oh god!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Burkheads hurt!!! For cripes sake what are we going to do?!!!!!! Oh Jeezus!!! **holds knees into his chest** Sell your house! Sell your stock! Get enough supplies to last you 6 months and head for the sandhills!!!!! I feel bad for Rex Burkhead and wish him a speedy recovery... For those of you wigging out... The sun will come up tommorow. I promise!
  11. I think it's worth a try. Not sure how many plays Pelini will be drawing up but suggestions never hurt and from a motivational standpoint it could be good.
  12. So because Saint Osborne did it, does that make it alright? The 84 points against Minnesota in 1983 was a fluke with the second third and 4th string in.. Still probably shouldn't have happened. That 77-14 decision over Arizona State in 1995 sure did us a lot of good in 1996. If you play your reserves you don't come out looking like a thug. Texas Tech is constantly ringing up 70 and 80 point wins over overmatched teams. That can be and should be helped.
  13. Probably, if I was on the television all the time and coaching college football.
  14. BREAKING NEWS......... BRANDON CARTERS MAKEUP SCHEME FOR SATURDAY JUST RELEASED TO THE MEDIA...... I hope Suh isn't afraid of clowns. We could have a problem..
  15. I never said I also wasn't arrogant. Psychology 101. The most frequent thing people dislike about others is usually a major fault of that individual.
  16. Dude I did.. Along with Paul Rhodes and Art Briles and 6 or so other coaches. Just because I noticed I didn't give you a complete answer yesterday.
  17. Actually, UNTIL NOW there was only one thread about "disliking" Mike Leach, this one http://www.huskerboard.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=37150 I never said I hated him, I said I dislike him. To be completely honest with you with his coaching and running up the score aside, I just think he's kind of an arrogant fool that reminds me of a used car salesman. Within the past few years there has been a media love fest with the man and his "witty humor" and I find him just plain annoying. Thats about the size of it. The only mention I made of Mike Leach in this thread was when I rated him 12th in my poll because I dislike him.
  18. I am definitely not the spelling police, but this made me laugh: corgual I thought perhaps I was missing something so I doubled checked it. There are no spelling errors.
  19. I have noticed that and I LOVE it. I think it's the kind of element that has been missing from this coaching staff for a long time. It shows the heart of the coach and the emphasis he puts on winning. Rage and fear are great motivators! It reminds me of myself after a loss except Bo is a little more reasonable.
  20. I have a present for your co-worker right here... He can pin it wherever he wants but I would be happy to offer a few suggestions.
  21. I think paying off officials is a great idea if you want to end up with severe penalties that can cripple your football program and turn a national power into a punchline. Ask SMU about things like that.
