On Sierra Space and private space

It’s a step backwards, and no coach wants to do that. If you want a former HC for OC you’d have to get someone like RichRod. Solid OC but not a good HC.Tom Herman is an offensive analyst... Just saying.

Cue the folks who actually think that he, like Tom Herman, would come here as OC
You'll never know until you try!

He needs to grab Dan Mullen quick!!!

Really liked how we targeted the TE. That needs to be the offense going forward.

That's a pretty innovative idea.
I'm curios on the feasibility of scaling it up to industrial payload capacity.
FWIW Musk's input.

Another company, with a novel way to get to space.
And how it works:

Good for him but may be bad for Nebraska. I was honestly hoping he would stay out of the headlines. Too many programs are looking for head coaches right now. The chain reactions that take place over the next 6 weeks will be a circus and any assistant that has performed well this year will be looked at to fill some of the openings created. I would be very surprised if he doesn't receive offers. I think he would have to seriously consider anything reasonable given the situation. He is losing some studs on defense and he will be looking at a lot of additional pressure next year since Frost's job will really be on the line.
Fair chance we are hiring an entire new staff in a few weeks.
I'm more concerned he'll take a lateral for an SEC school that offers more money. Think Florida is the biggest fear in that regard.

Thinking it will be Jeff Libby from Ole miss. They'll pay him more and he'll get playcalling responsibilities.
No inside info just a gut reaction.

Wouldn't mind Dan Mullen if Florida lets him go and he promises to keep the defense staff.

It's hard to get a gauge how big this thing really is. What was it like in person?
The actual ship is 16 stories tall, and has more cargo space than a 747. When fully stacked (with the booster), I didn't see this, it is close to 400 feet tall.
Linked is a photo I took. If you zoom in real close to the object under the Ship on the road you can see a size comparison. And even this pic doesn't do it justice.

Was able to see this rocket in person a few months back. If it works as planned it will be an absolute game changer for cheaper access to space. About 150t to low earth orbit, same altitude as international space station, for only $2M per launch when production is ramped up.

Kalen Deboer. Overall record as an HC 77-8.

I've been for keeping frost regardless of the outcome this year. Unless you go 3-9. The schedule next year for us is much easier which I would like to see how we would do. I think one more year to see what they can do wiuld be good. I don't think we can attract a big name at nebraska the we have been. Give a coach more than 4 years for once to see if he can turn it around. Just imagine if we win three of the 6 one shore games this year were bowl eligible.
What about having one win against a bad northwestern team, makes you think frost will do any better next year in the BIG?

Martinez IS THE problem. Period
But they haven't developed/recruited someone to replace him. That's on the coaches.

He was the OC not HC. He'd be best known in these parts as the head coach of the NAIA dynasty that was SIoux Falls. 67-3 there with as many National Titles as losses. Was their OC when I played at Doane.
Yeah my b.

If not Chins, Kalen DeBoer- Fresno State HC. Has experience in the BIG (former Indiana HC) or, Aranda from Baylor, but he ain't coming cheap.

He deserves a fifth year.
Now what?
Why? So he can have a fifth season of "being this close," "working on the details," "seeing this movie again," "finding a new way to lose," or whatever frost-ism that amounts to nothing?

Logan Smothers to start v Iowa

Smothers doesn't have an arm, and running him as much as we did is no way for him to make it through a season.
