They didn't tackle like it.  They literally had guys who gave effort like it was actually two hand touch

Their defense was bad last year.  They still beat the best the Big Ten had to offer in the playoffs.  It's a good program, and the rapid turnaround at Colorado is beyond impressive.

Except that isn't the point you made. And frankly we don't actually know that. You are making assumptions on how good TCU is based on last year's team. This year they lost alot of the players that made last year's team good.

Yes I assume TCU is a solid program.   So does anyone who even vaguely follows college football.  You're the one trying to downplay the win here.

Did I say they were bad? It isn't the narrative, it is the truth. That TCU team IS NOT the team that played for a title last year plain and simple. 20 point favorites for the first game of the year doesn't mean squat. The only person trying to create a narrative here is you.

Nope.  It was a great win against the level of opponent Nebraska hasn't beaten in years.  No spin needed.

Yea, no. Deion was and frankly still is completely unproven at the power 5 level. That team that played for a natty got blown out by the worst margin in the history of college football championship games and also lost a ton of key play players on both sides of the ball. It's one game man.

Interesting this is the narrative after the game.  Before the game they were 20 point favorites.

If it's just a matter of TCU being that bad then it should be an easy win for a proven coach like Rhule.

Doesn't have anything to do with being a black guy.

And everything to do with being a "look at me" narcissist.

Yes!  Can't he just be quiet and behave in a manner more suitable for a respectable gentleman!  Why does he have to be so brash!  It's unbecoming!  What will the neighbors think!

  6. Sanders took over maybe the worst P5 team and beat a team that played for a natty in the first game of his first season.

It was never a question of who the better coach is.

The problem is an outgoing black guy wouldn't go over well in Nebraska.

We’re going to have our hands full. CU is looking much better than I anticipated. But it’s still been the hype train to end all hype trains. Doesn’t matter if they back it up or not, the hype has been way over the top. I prefer humble, speak softly and carry a big stick.

The reason they're much better than you anticipated is because of what you dismiss as hype.  Half the battle is getting high end recruits to come play for you.

We can have our preferences, but we're not football recruits so our preferences our irrelevant.

Time to witness the beginning of the hype train derailment.

Is it hype of you back it up?  He's never demonstrated anything other than being an elite coach.

He already has one of the worst teams in the country last year competing with one of the best.

  9. What's the logic behind going hurry-up right there to give Colorado tons of extra time to try to score before halftime?   I think in general college coaches are just kind of stupid.  Even the good ones.  Must have been like taking candy from a baby for someone like Osborne.

Not a fair comparison, Martinez was a much, much better thrower.

What we saw last night was a guy who didn't see the field. Martinez was an average passer, what we saw last night was a passing game that was a detriment to the team. Throws more than 3 yards past the line of scrimmage had a 30% chance of being intercepted.

It was so bad you have to wonder if they need to greatly simplify the offense and route trees ran by the receivers.

It's a precise comparison because they both led the universe in turnovers.

Martinez might have been a better passer, he clearly had better WRs. It didn't make enough of a difference for the outcome to be any different.
