  1. I wish it was just the solid dark green color. Also, according to NCAA 10 it told me that field color other than green is now banned, I guess Boise got Grandfathered... I just played them today. They're wrong, it is not banned... read above. How do you like NCAA 10? I put off getting it because I didn't think enough would change.
  2. This post falls flat due to the filter. I have no idea what you're referring to.
  3. Just curious, why are you guys so against it? Tradition? I just think it would* make our stadium that much more unique. Edit: *corrected my tense.
  4. Hey, maybe our red jersey's would blend into the field and get us a few more interceptions...
  5. Really? Did Boise get grand-fathered in? Edit: According to Wikipedia, this is an urban legend: Blue turf myths There are many myths about the blue turf. Two of the most prevalent are: There is an NCAA rule banning turf colors other than green, but BSU's field is allowed to remain blue under a grandfather clause. The NCAA has no such rule; any school may paint its field any color other than green if it wishes. Though painting the end zones is common, and schools have wide latitude in how to do so, only BSU has chosen a non-green color for the field itself. Mistaking it for water, birds have flown into the blue turf. This has never been confirmed. In 2007, Broncos coach Chris Petersen claimed to have found a dead duck on the field, though it is unclear whether or not the duck had mistaken the turf for water.[12]
  6. I've always liked Boise State's smurf bowl, and I always though Memorial Stadium would look amazing with red field turf and white lettering. I figure it'll never happen though, seeing as we're a fairly traditional place
  7. My parents are moving to South Carolina, but still want to catch as many Husker games as possible (the ones on FSN Midwest, etc). DirecTV told us that you can get FSN Midwest in South Carolina if you pay extra. Does anyone have any experience with FSN Midwest outside of the midwest?
  8. Tyler Evan's No.3 ranked Waverly Vikings routed No.6 ranked Pius 42-17. Evans scored twice on the ground and threw 1 TD pass. Unsure as to yardage. http://omaha.com/article/20090828/SPORTS04/708289714
  9. Jerry Rice ran a 4.7. /end discussion Its really not uncommon for WRs to run terrible 40's. Nate Swift ran a 4.7 this year. Hakeem Nicks ran a 4.63, Mohammed Massoquai ran a 4.66, Ramses Barden and Derrick Williams (considered a very fast receiver) ran 4.68.
  10. It was kind of fast, but there have been huge advancements in ACL surgery in the last few years. Dennis Dixon recovered from an ACL tear very quickly as well.
  11. B)--> QUOTE(Husker B @ Aug 8 2009, 05:02 PM) 450558[/snapback] I'm pretty sure Bo Pelini knows how to evaluate talent a little better than you wannabe Ms. Cleos. Give it a rest already. No kidding, give me f'ing break. You realize this kid probably reads these boards, right? Along with a lot of other recruits? Stop looking like ungrateful pieces of sh#t.
  12. I've read that Tyler ran a 4.48 electronic timed 40 and ran a 10.95 100m, which is pretty solid. An anecdote, Waverly's current coach (Mike Johnson) coached Brook Berringer in Kansas. Check out the guns: http://profile.ak.fbcdn.net/object3/1142/3...824009_8499.jpg
  13. Before today, I had never heard of the "county scholarships" urban legend, but now I'm trying to find information on the 'net about this. Sounds like pure BS to me.
