  1. I've never heard Barack Obama forget his own domestic policy during a debate.

Not to get into a political debate but without the teleprompter he has problems remember his own name.

He was giving a speech (which he didn't write) and his teleprompter went off. Public speaking is pretty difficult, especially when you don't know what you're talking about.

Perry was in a debate and he couldn't even remember one of the government agencies he wanted to cut. That's much different than a teleprompter malfunctioning. That's just being stupid.

  2. Well, I'm not sure of the stats, but my guess is that Iowa didn't muff a kick to start the second half, fumble all over the place, rough the kicker, and make all the other dumb...dumb....dumb mistakes we did when they played Michigan. That game was also at Iowa.

We didn't rough the punter that was a horrible call but everything else that you mentioned happened

    Definite momentum killer!!!

  3. Purdue beat Indiana 33-25 to become the 10th bowl eligible team.

The funny thing this year is I didn't see much "fire" from B1G Ten teams playing us. Except maybe Northwestern. Not as much as I have seen other B1G Ten teams display when they play each other. I guess the more we starting beating them year after year that will increase.

  4. I think Wolverine forgot we dropped 7 in a row, but let him have he's moment.

Exactly. The mustelids barely squeaked out a win against the worst Buckeye team of a decade. Kudos.

Now get back in your box & assume the position because the next decade is going to be even rougher for Kinesiology U than the last.

But, its typical of Michigan fans, the only time you hear them talking (Especially on Huskerboard) is after they win a game. Wait a minute...that's the only thing they know how to do. Michigan=Iowa STATE.

Now, now be nice...when you live in a Mad Max style wasteland you have to take what pleasures you can.

Remember when it comes to TSUN the correct emotion is always...pity.

    ROTGLMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :LOLtartar:rollin:LOLtartar

  5. NOTHING being done by UNL to sell tickets is not done by every other major, and most minor, universities.

    I did not imply otherwise.

This whole debate is as ridiculous as the last "sellout streak" thread we had. Every ticket is sold. It doesn't matter who buys them.

I think the discussion is entirely reasonable. If tickets were given away, it isn't a sellout streak. And if a large number of tickets were sold at a significantly reduced price to a business or big donor, then the streak is technically alive, but the real spirit of the streak is pretty much bypassed, in my opinion.

If a recording artist has an album go Platinum because he personally buys 50,000 copies and then creates a deal with Amazon.com to package the album with DVD players for an extra 50 cents, does that technically count as a Platinum record? Yes. But should he and his supporters be proud of that? Well, probably not nearly as much as if he actually sold 1,000,000 albums at retail price to actual music fans who actually wanted to buy and listen to the album.

I'm fine saying that we have a great fan base who fills up a pretty big stadium 99% of the time, through extreme heat and cold, wind, rain, snow, cupcakes, Bohls, Cosgroves and Callahans. And we're (almost always) nice and respectful to the opposing teams and fans. But I would feel a little silly continuing to flaunt our 50-year sellout streak to the Iowa fans around me if we had to use some of the tactics mentioned in this thread and others to keep it alive. That's pretty much all I'm saying.

Then go ahead and feel silly. There is zero legitimacy to Caven's talk about "special event" tickets. There are no seats in Memorial Stadium that are not sold on a season-ticket basis, with the exception of student tickets and opponent tickets. Every seat in Memorial Stadium has been paid for for the last 39 years. If you don't want to "believe" in the streak then don't. You seem to have made up your mind that it isn't legitimate and you're just looking for proof that it's not.

I'm not going to try to convince you. Believe what you want.

Right, sellout means SELLOUT. It is the same for concerts too. Some "purists" just enjoy splitting hairs Knapp.

  6. @MichiganBall

I know that Michigan doesn't have that many Academic All Americans but it is WINNING . #2 YOU PLAYED OHIO STATE TODAY....uhhh duhhh, there were bad calls in that game as well. Man I didn't think I had to spell it out for you (Pun Intended). No wonder IOWA BEAT YOU GUYS!!!!LMFAO!!!!!But, its typical of Michigan fans, the only time you hear them talking (Especially on Huskerboard) is after they win a game. Wait a minute...that's the only thing they know how to do. Michigan=Iowa STATE. Sorry for the disrespect Cy the Cyclone!

  7. If this has already been discussed will someone point me to the right thread? I just don't get it. When the dust clears we could be looking at Penn State vs. Michigan State. We beat both of them!! Crap! What did Iowa do to beat Michigan? Blah! Michigan must've been having the same kind of day against Iowa that we had against them! I really do not get it!!

I guess its called the Big 10, that's' why. I hope the B1G Ten beats all SEC teams this year!!!

  8. Camelot is in flower, Righteousness is in Reign, Evil has been defeated , Michigan has beaten Ohio state, one streak ends, another streak begins, Buckeyes are the losers that they should be. GO BLUE MICHIGAN 40 ohio B rate 34

OH BTW RING RING its the phone its your mother and she says YOU SUCK

Its a good thing for you that the Big Ten referees are terrible!!!

Heh, reading this board it seems all referees worldwide have an everlasting conspiracy against the ultra disciplined Huskers. Seriously I have never seen so much complaining(making excuses) about the refs by any other teams fan base. Makes me wonder if those big12 complaints were valid.

As far as the game today, good job Ohio, your down but played a hell of a game against us. I think Wolverine forgot we dropped 7 in a row, but let him have he's moment.

No, I am just saying that the play calling by the referees overall in the Big Ten STINKS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL. Probably the worst referee play calling in the NCAA when it comes to football. It wasn't the refs who forced TOSU not to tackle DRob!!!But, we Husker fans know how uninformed some other teams fans are of things like these. Just an observation buddy, don't get your panties in a bunch, YOU WON!

  10. 1 - Suh apologized for letting his team down...he didn't admit to trying to hurt the guy. "apologize for letting my teammates down".

2 - I still say he didn't try to stop on his arm w/ any force. THE GUY DIDN'T EVEN FLINCH WHY WON'T ANYONE EVER MENTION THIS HUUUUUUGE FACT??????? If he would put ANY meaningful pressure on his arm w/ that stomp he would made some sort of painful reaction. HE MADE NONE and when he got up he didn't even look at his arm. So how can you not conclude that the only bad thing about the stomp is what it appeared to look like on the surface....and it's all just knee jerk reactions.

Am I missing something here? No one made a single comment on this the first time I mentioned it. How can something so obvious to me not get a mention from any NU fans let alone the media... 310 lb man stomps on a guys arm w/ cleats and the guys doesn't even clinch...either Bruce Willis isn't the only "unbreakable" out there...or the stomp is a nonstory.

His "apology" was embarrassing, as well as cringe-worthy. The best thing he could've done was own up to his actions right away. He did not. That's what people are jumping on him for.

And as for your second point: the stomp is OK because he didn't hurt the guy? Frankly, that's bullsh#t.

Hey Badger_HB...You seem stressed over the holidays. I hope your not taking having your in-laws in town out on Huskerboard. Mount up like Ron Jeremy and let all those frustrations out brother!!!! :horns:LOLtartar:bonesflag:
