  1. A&M fans don't really seem to get the whole crowd noise point we've been trying to get across.

First of all, Washington's stadium is louder than Texas A&M's. It's not that their crowd is better, but because of the architecture of the stadium, it's louder.

However, that doesn't matter. The point Nebraska's fans are trying to make is that when this team goes on the road, they don't just deal with crowd noise well. They thrive on it. It motivates them, it helps them focus, it makes them sharper. This isn't a matter of our guys not being afraid of crowd noise. It's a matter of them looking forward to it.

The crowd noise may make us take a timeout or a false start at some point, but that happened at Washington too. We still won by 35 points. If the crowd noise is a major factor in this game, I think it's going to be that it gives a boost to A&M's defense, which of course will make it harder on us. But the crowd noise isn't going to intimidate us - our mindset going on the road doesn't allow for that to happen.

I never said it was going to intimidate you. I'm saying it's just natural to have an effect on some things. Not to mention that Washington is a bad team who was down 14-0 to NU within the first five minutes of a game. Sorry, but that's not an accurate depiction of anything you will hear tonight if the game is close.

And Kyle Field isn't a typical stadium. Look at the three tiered side on the right. That entire side is students who yell the entire game. 30,000 students. It's not like other college stadiums who stick their small student allotment in the corners of the field so they can make money selling tickets close to midfield. At A&M, an entire side from endzone to endzone is filled 3 tiers high with 30k students.

Kyle is extraordinary in that it doesn't just get loud for 3rd or 4th down. There is noise from 1st-4th down and gets even louder as it gets to 2nd, 3rd and 4th down.

Hell, I was at the OU-Tech game in 2008 that alot of Sooners claim is the loudest Owen has ever been and I've heard Kyle Field louder during a timeout during the 2004 OU game.

Look, this is the biggest game at Kyle in probably 10 years. If the 12th Man has a chance to make a difference, BELIEVE ME, IT WILL. Aggies have been waiting a long time to get back on the big stage. Fans are hungry. If Nebraska has a big drive late in the game, Kyle will be DEAFENING every second of that drive.

You are in for a long night, A stadium doesn't get loud if the crowd doesn't have anything to cheer for! :bonesflag:

  2. I'm so sick of the media roller coaster of "we play better on road" "can't play at home" "this is an impossible road game" "AM is sooo good" blah blah blah blah blah fricking blah.

Texas AM changed QB and won a few games against some teams with POOR pass defense. This kid QB Tannehill has NEVER seen a secondary like he will go up against Sat night. If I've learned one thing it's you better like your chances with a Pelini coached team in November with something on the line. The opposing QB graveyard population is about to increase by one.

If I were an A&M fan I'd be feeling really, really uncomfortable with the Big Red coming to town. Likewise if you're a A&M coach how can you possible prepared for everything NU can throw at you on offense? TMart, Helu Jr, Burkehead, wideopen passing attack, smash mouth run game. We've shown it all this year and I'd be scared to death if I were an opposing coach trying to guess what I'll face on Sat night. Have a some faith, let the bombs blow and the dominoes fall Sat night. GBR!!!

while you might make a few good points, i feel like we have plenty of reasons to think we will win.

Tannehill is a great QB. He is not a receiver turned QB. He was a QB turned receiver. So, throughout the last 3 years he has been learning how to play in the offense as a receiver and a qb. That is a good bit of knowledge to own as a starting QB. And, he was our leading receiver last season. The kid is a gifted athlete all around. So, bring on you really really good secondary. I am confident he will have a good day against them.

You have only played one other offense that is our caliber. Okie light had no trouble putting up points on your vaunted black shirts. The balanced offense is your D's Achilles hill. We bring a balance to the game.

If Tmart is fully healthy, we will have trouble stopping him. He is special. If he is not fully healthy, we will curb stomp him. Look what happened to RGIII in the second half last week. And RGIII is every bit of electric as Tmart, in spite of the fact that he plays for Baylor. Our D is up to the task of stopping your O. Try to smash mouth us. I dare you to.

This game hinges on two things for both teams. Which ever team stops the others rushing game and which team has a better day with the special teams will win this game.

Also, this will be the most hostile environment your team will face all season. This will be on a different level of loud.

I am very comfortable with this match up. I feel like these teams match up very well and it should be close to the end. Right now, I think Nebraska is the better team. But, I think TAMU is playing better ball currently. Who knows which way the ball bounces tomorrow.

    It is gonna be fun.

    Ok Pastor J. Jones. :LOLtartar:laughpound:bonesflag:

  3. Call me crazy, but if it comes down to the Aggie offense or the Aggie defense having to win this game, I'm going with the Wrecking Crew every single time. Much more confidence in them than our hot/cold offense, tbh.

You have mentioned the "the wrecking crew" in a few of your posts. Let the record reflect that the "wrecking crew" hasn't been and will not be back this season. A la "Blackshirts 2005"! Even though most LongHorn fans are hopping on that aggie bandwagon the a&m defense 2010 in no way mirrors the early 90's defense that filled the shoes of what the wrecking crew stood for, and still stands for. However, our present Blackshirts do resemble the Husker defense's of the 90's. We have a better defense and ours is and was better than boomers's. Put the kool-aid down. We will be there for consolation for you. Given our past record of over-hyping our team, we will always be there for Nebraska South, aka Texas A&M.

Nice win over OU but what happened vs. Mizzou @ home.

About the same thing that happened to you guys against Texas :)

And yeah, quite serious. I don't think we're going to blow you out, but I think a lot of people are underrating A&M on both offense and defense and if we're sharp I think this could be a heck of a game.

Touche fig, Touche. I like it :) I respect your confidence It's what makes games like this great. I had a good German Army/Poland reference I was going to make in my previous post, but it seemed innapropriate at the time..... Best of Luck to you guys and GBR!!

I call the aggie qb getting hurt and the Huskers ROLLING!!!!!! :bonesflag:

  7. Q

Thats awesome. Atleast it appears the media hasnt forgotten about his crimes agianst humanity that happened here. I still have questions in the back of my mind and wonder if Pedersons sole goal was to actually bring Huskernation to its knees. Nothing he did here during his tenure had a positive affect on the program or state. You would think if he was just an imbisule even then he could have accidently done something right.

I think the similarities between Steve Pederson and B. Hussein Obama are strikenly similar!!!! :LOLtartar. Just two different nations being ran into the ground.

  8. Question...Coach how do you feel about saying goodbye to some old rivalries and saying hello to some new ones"?

Bo: " I'm not a real emotional guy"..(Laughter)_......"you all know that"

Harvey Pearlman: "You would have gotten the same response if we would have joined the NFL"

HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar :LOLtartar

  9. Can anyone Opine here? Its almost a backdoor way to a playoff, and the BCS will most certainly have to be changed. Changes hurts in the beginning but in the end its all good...IMO!

This conference realignment was to kill the BCS and get toward a playoff since they figured out they can make more money that way. Much like the Big 12 is dead, the BCS pretty much is also.

I hear you, hopefully Barry won't take credit for this!!!LMAO!!

  10. The Worst Conference plus Nebraska

    The Rust Belt 12 Conference

The Bailout isn't Helping our Region! Conference

    Pam Ward is Sexy Conference

    The Furby Conference

Better than the "Georgia isn't known for anything conference"!!!

  11. Folks, I gotta tell you....this is just downright surrealistic sitting down here in Austin and watching it play out.

First of all, if you're following that bunch on orangebloods.com, take two steps back. The only reason that website exists is to stir the pot every time a good rumor about anything pops up.

Nobody (who matters) down here in Austin is painting Nebraska as a "bad guy". I can assure you that more than anything else, Texas understands that football is, well, just business. Nebraska never really liked the way the money was cut in the Big 12, and for good reason. There's more money to be had in an expanded Big 10. Hell yea, go for it! This gives Texas an excuse to bolt to the Pac 10 (soon to be Pac 16) and take A&M, Colorado and the two Okie schools with us. And yes, no one really cares about Baylor.

Rather than working for a amicable solution, Texas was its typical bully self. They got a three-year extension on JerryWorld, and started flinging ultimatums at NU and Missouri.

Flinging? That's nothing more than planning in advance. TV contracts have to be signed years in advance. Look...we were told by local media here in Austin four months ago that Nebraska and Missouri were ready to bolt. If those two schools are even considering that kind of move, then there's no sense letting the corpse of the Big 12 twist in the wind, as other conferences cherry-pick off one school after another. All Texas was saying was "s*** or get off the pot." This way things are done efficiently and the new conferences can get their TV deals in place quickly....and quickly means more money.

You guys have a great school with a great tradition and fans that, frankly, sometimes I'd kill for as a Texas Ex. But no one here should take anything that's about to happen...or that has happened...personally.

    Remember Michael Corleone's line....

    "It's not personal, it's business"

We understand, with TU its not about class, or a even cut its about Greed and hating rivals....The sad part is OU will look like Texas's bitch...which may not be a bad thing!!!
