To be honest i did this same thing when i was 5 during the 97 Nebraska vs. Missouri game... we started moving down the field and i went behind one of our recliners and started to pray..next thing i knew Scott Frost threw the ball it got kicked and Matt Davison came out of nowhere to catch the ball. Im not saying that my praying had anything to do with the outcome but i just find it rather cool that someone else has done the same thing and they have both led to a nebraska victory. Go Skers!

Better buy some tinker toys and animal crackers to keep her by the tube next game to pray for a W when we need it. Better yet, don't let her shower or change her clothes until the season is over... we wouldn't want the luck to run out.

She is a 4'2" 72LB five year old who has knocked Dad down twice when she was three.

 

As for VT I didn't have enough time I was in shock.

I thought I would share this...

 

My daughter always tells her mom to call daddy to have him pray for her(even though mommy prays for her) when she has a pain because "daddy's prayers stop the pain, mommy's don't"

 

So after three frustrating quarters and announcers repeating what I was saying I asked my daughter

 

"You know how you like daddy to pray for you to take your pain away and it works"

 

She says "yeah"

 

I said "Well I need you to pray like that for Nebraska for me because they are not playing so well"

 

 

So she did and lo and behold 27 unanswered points.

 

Not trying to go all Jim Jones or golden calf Huskers or anything, but I was hurting and in my world that

 

prayer worked.

God, this #@#$ is just disgusting. NU played and won the game. Granted there was some strange playcalling but I have faith in Watson to get it done.

 

MU was putting 8 in the box and that was stuffing our running game for the majority of the game, as Lee was off the first few quarters.

 

 

Quit calling for peoples heads NU fans. God damn.

 

 

I would have to disagree they weren't stuffing the run. The run plays called were lousy, any team could have stopped them. EVEN THE ANNOUNCERS WERE SAYING THEY SHOULD RUN ON FIRST DOWN INSTEAD OF PASSING, HE EVEN REITERATED RUNNING THE BALL

 

It felt like they were afraid that someone would fumble in the rain.

I thought the option gain was pretty good. But running on the outsides and letting the playmakers make plays would have been nice. Short 5-7 yard plays to open the passing game. WEAR THEM DOWN!!!

 

Yes we won, yes it was in the rain, but you don't change the playcalling because of the weather!

 

If we would have lost, there would have been outrage against Wats.

 

This should have been a blowout rain or shine!

I just don't understand not running on a poor run defense!!!!!!!!!! On top of not covering a QB draw!!!!!!!!!!!!!I mean for the #1 run defense and all!!Unaceptable for a B12 championship!!!!!!!!!!

That dude was a monster tonight, I have never seen such a one man wrecking crew on defense in an NFL game. Maybe Bo should play the highlights from this MNF game as motivation. Awesome to watch!!!

During VaTech week I traveled over to their boards to see their version of a Husker look a like, and I thought it was very funny. You can't laugh at other people unless you can laugh at yourself...

The fact is that look at the big twelve and how the are playing, if Texas is # 1( I think Florida will lose this week to LSU) in B12 championship and we are top ten, and we beat Texas Soundly, Why wouldn't we play? Man think NU-LSU in a NCG. That is what makes college so fun when there isn't a playoff system, you get to fantisize about the possibilities down the road each week!!!

Man, We don't get no respect from these polls. I think the V-Tech loss actually is going to help our team rather than hurt it!!!I think we are going to go undefeated in B12 play and play Texas in B12 championship. Then depending how the team gels and improves throughout the season, yes we might even play for the NC. That's right I said it. Being early thirties my feelings of pain are more torwards Oklahoma than Miami! The ones I remember we won. The big losses I remember are Oklahoma and Stoops. I wonder how many of you Miami haters are in your forties or fifties. That's my excuse and I am sticking to it!

I was told that Miami beating the Sooners would be a bad thing, that we should be the only ones that beat them. I just cant root for a Sooner win! I hope miami clobbers them then we clobber OU worse!!! Considering the amount of bad acid going around in the voters polls I think all of them should be Piss tested!

Maybe we need a congressional inquiry into the polls and follow the ties of votes to teams and who benifits. AUDIT THE POLLING SYSTEM!!!!
