Nice post.. Makes me wonder if Callahan would even WANT to come back if he was asked at this point. Probably already planing out his next move and has his family moved out somewhere. I know I wouldnt want to come back!! Husker fans are CRAZY!!!!1!

Bottom Line.. He will be fired after the CU game.. IMO.. If TO had any thoughts of keeping BC, he would be rallying around BC and saying --hey fans this is our coach.. Bill is the coach and everyone should support him.. All that keeps being said is, we will evaluate.. etc.. You know what? You're absolutely right. If Callahan was staying, Osborne would surely have helped him out by giving him a show of support. He hasn't, though, even though Callahan desperately needs it. Someone of Osborne's high moral sense wouldn't leave leave Callahan out to dry so long. I don't know if Osborne even publicly congratulated the team after KSU. It seems as if Osborne is avoiding the coaching staff. Now I'd have to say that Callahan is gone, especially after KSU. If he was staying, Osborne would have surely come to his aid. Don't you think? Why does everyone speculate so much? Why would Osborne have to come to his aid? Callahan is the coach. Im smart enough to figure that out without Osborne telling me. If Osborne rallied around BC the suicide rate in Nebraska would jump 100%.

Whoever loses this game is going to be in for a long offseason. I'm already getting incredibly sick of these so-called Buffs "fans" that have been coming out of the woodwork this week blaming 31 unanswered Iowa State points and 2 consecutive unbelievably bad officiating gaffes on Hawkins deciding to go for it on a 4th and 1. Rational thinking within fandom prevails once again! Quick question: Since my Buffs had to deal with Clete Blakeman and his treachery last week, do you think there's any way Hawkins could convince the Big XII to appoint Koy Detmer or Bobby Pesavento as the head official for the CU/NU game? It's only fair... Thats the first time I have ever seen "Rational thinking" and "buffs fans" in the same paragraph...

Reading this board you would think that Callahan burned down Memorial Stadium. I think that most people have nothing better to do than bitch and moan and be miserable. Thank god I have a life outside of football.

Just because he didn't credit his players in this one specific press conference doesn't mean that he completely dismisses their accomplishments and files them under the category of "products of his system". He has stated several times that this program wouldn't be where it is without Zac Taylor (also saying something to the effect of Zac being the smartest quarerback he's ever coached). He's also said a few times this season that he couldn't be happier with Keller's performances, and that Keller helped keep this team alive. Same goes for Ganz, repeated comments about how they aren't going to shy away from the passing game because he and his staff have the upmost ability in Ganz (this is praising a player, if you are too thick to notice). Get off the guys nuts i would be glad to get off the guys' nuts, but not one damn time did he stand up and accept the responsibility for the defensive implosion of this team over the last 4 years. not once, not one goddam time did he take responsibility for the defensive failures, only gloated over some offensive stats run up against 2nd and 3rd teamers during blow out losses. and that is the sign of a one way self promoting a$$hole.....and THAT is all i have to say about THAT! Promise?!?!

after all of the heat the BC has taken for the throat slash, do you really think Husker Nation would want a coach that show emotion one finger at a time Its not the nebraska way!!! Im in Nebraska at least once a month and I see the finger about 3 or 4 times a day... Its also the quickest way for me to get my point across.

that somrone had half of his team leave during his 1-10 season at Doane. I remember someone telling me that they thought about ending the football program because of what he did to it.

I hate to break it to you... the stadium will be full this weekend. Full of people supporting their team. You can stay home and pout.

I heard after ballet class they go bowling. Then on Friday they all do finger painting and play a round of sponge bob monopoly. They do all that in half pads.

I heard Rose was on the Nebraska sideline on Saturday. He called the plays for the first half of the game. But Callahan took over in the second half. I heard Rose is the leading candidate for the head coaching job.
