Cover the football.
Announcer dude was exactly right: “the one thing you can’t do in that situation…”

I actually wouldn’t mind seeing a rotation of the stripes/no-stripes, gray face masks, big “NU” on the helmet, etc.
Not Oregon-level variety.
I though the unis looked good last week, this week, and of course the standard is good as well- 2

Not a lot to add after 13 pages. Much of this has probably been said by other people more eloquently.
- Nebraska has talent. Some skill position talent. Some secondary talent. Some D-line talent. This team should be good enough to make a bowl game with this personnel.
- Clearly the offensive line is a gaping, hemhorraging wound that requires immediate medical emergency attention. The question is, what can we do about it? Burn a redshirt or two and hope? The current situation here is untenable.
- We have a FG kicker with the yips and I don't know what to do about that either.
- I am disappointed to see the vitriol I have seen for Martinez. I think he is growing immensely as a game manager and is learning to make much better decisions, and his improvising is as good as ever. I'm not going to fault him too much for an absolutely horrid drive at the end of the game or an interception that really ended up being beneficial from a field position standpoint (and set up our next TD drive anyway).- Apart from that freaky INT which really didn't matter much, we DID NOT TURN IT OVER.
- The team showed mental strength today, which was the most important thing I get out of this game. It shrugged off all those stupid penalties on the first drive to come away with points. Obviously we would all prefer that these mistakes don't happen, especially since they seem to be some kind of black plague we can't get rid of, but I didn't see the team drop their heads and quit like they've been prone to do.
- On that..... the team needs to CHANNEL this. They need to realize that they were capable of beating a top-five team on the road if just a small number of things went better. That needs to be carried through a very tough conference schedule. That effort needs to be the rule, not the exception. That's the hardest I think I've seen a Frost-coached team play. But....
- ...Oklahoma is probably a little bit overrated. I hope they aren't, but there wasn't a whole lot that impressed me. I'd love to think our defense is THAT good but I don't know yet. But I don't want that to diminish the good things that were accomplished. I think OU would have trouble in the B1G.

I wouldn't wear his name on my shirt, but it would appear the praise of Pat Forde we're seeing in this thread may not be universally accepted.
So, hang on. This shirt is supposed to prove that Nebraska fans are not crybabies?

Any Husker fan following Forde on Twitter should unfollow him. Also stop clicking on his articles. That's the only way to get at him.
This is what contributes to Nebraska football fans’ delusion that the rest of the college football world is out to get us.

I do agree we came off a little whinny because of a small majority that was actually upset and some people just making jokes... But there is no way that this would be the narrative from even the biggest kool aid drinkers.
Except that it was the AD who was the one coming off whiny.

We - the team, the coaches, the fans - should stop asking for respect and focus on earning respect instead.
The rest of the nation is right. We’ve been acting like entitled babies for about 20 years now. If we continue to live in the glorious world of yesteryear, we’ll live in that world forever.- 3

Stillborn wouldn’t be shocked to hear a clean up procedure on his knee at the beginning of next year. Also think something is up with his throwing shoulder as well still

Certainly useful. Advertising for clicks on your website via your other, more recently acquired website?
Pretty sure that’s been frowned upon throughout the history of the forum.

Defensive stats showing total yards given up are a little skewed. The defense is on pace to play about 80 more snaps than last year.
Also, I would suggest that there has been significant improvement over the course of the year, largely because a) Lamar Jackson has improved, and b) the players are more used to the scheme. We should continue to see improvement next year.

We have no choice but to trust frost and his plan, and allow time for the plan to take shape. It’s what he asked us for, and what he told us to expect. As hard as it is, we need to be willing to wait.

This is true, but Riley was a loser, he's always been a loser and didn't care if we won or not. I don't buy that Frost will accept kids accepting losing.
I agree, but we can’t allow excuses like this to permeate what should be a culture of winning. Rebuild or not, that effort and attitude needs to be seen by the players on the field. Not just in press conference answers.

Also what more do you want from Frost with Bunch? 18-25(72%) with 177 yards 2 TDs 1 INT before the final drive. Thats getting Bunch some easy completions.
1 minute ago, HuskerInLostWages said:Our team continues to lack any discipline what so ever. We continue to piss down our legs like we did under Riley. Until that "loser" attitude is gone, we aren't moving forward.
That’s what we said when Riley was hired. “Until the toxic culture is gone, we won’t be very good.”

Can’t put too much on bunch. The issue is the receivers have very little ability to separate, and out perimeter blocking on screens is poor.
-
We are:
1. Slow as a team
2. Undisciplined as a team
3. Still lacking offensive creativity
4. Not really the attacking defense we’re said to be
5. Not capable of generating turnovers
6. Going to be disappointed a lot this year

Under. Thinking there will be lots of rotating for ILBs.
O/U scoring defense avg for the year: 25.5

Nice little article from Sipple. Keith's a good guy, and it's awesome to see him step back and enjoy his situation. Great perspective, and a good reminder of the humanity of football coaches.

Poll: Should Frost be fired?

It’s this kind of delusion that makes the rest of the college football world love to see us lose. And Scott has contributed to it with his “make the B1G adjust to us” BS. We need a humbling. That can’t happen until our program and fans actually admit we aren’t any more special than any other team/university.
