The fans were great in the last minute and stayed around to cheer on the players and coaches as they left the field. It was clear that players and fans alike are ready and excited for bigger things to come.

Yeah this was a good game. After the first TD, secondary play for much better. Tommy settled down, good tackling, couple big plays, sideline was hyped going into the 4th quarter and they showed well.

If this is an accurate representation of our fan base then we don't deserve the enjoyment of a successful football team.

Lock and erase this thread please

cody and Patrick weren't from Nebraska, so they don't count. They also didn't start their careers as walkons, so their scholarships didn't mean as much to them.He earned a scholarship last year.
It's not too much to ask that he earn it again this year. He would probably have more going in his favor if he had been a scholarship recruit rather than a walk-on, but that's how it goes.
Was it Patrick Witt or Cody Green's fault that Bo Pelini decided to change his offense and (in the latter's case) fire Shawn Watson? They fell behind in the new system and had no choice but to look elsewhere. This happens to plenty of players every year. Transfers and departures are inevitable.
Right?

POTY
So you really have no idea how you will feel if NU wins 0-5 games this season? You have no idea how you will feel if they win 10-14 games this season?I'd be satisfied with waiting until Mike Riley's first season is over to decide how I feel about Mike Riley's first season.
Come on...Everyone will be pissed if its 0-5 wins...everyone will be creaming their jorts if its 10-14 wins.
The problem is...6-9 wins is where the "arguing" will be.
For me...I am putting on my crappiest pair of jorts because I am expecting to cream.

There's youth and there's experience on this staff.
Maybe the biggest thing is that youth and experience aren't two separate ideas. The young coaches have been around the block.
Also, lots of NFL flavor. When you spend time with players who list "football player" as their occupation, good knowledge is likely to follow.

No. Lock it up.

This thread is too much drama

Not only does Kenny play hard and do the dirty work of blocking downfield, but he's a classy guy too. Check the video of him and other Huskers hang around before leaving the field after yesterday's game.

why are people talking about KB as if he's not committed? It's been reported several times by reputable posters that he and his family are firmly committed to Nebraska. Enjoy the highlights and look forward to KB's arrival next season.I will say this...if this guy wants to go to a program that runs first, is steeped in tradition, and will make him into the best running back he can be with a possible Heisman trophy candidacy...then he better come to Nebraska.

BTW, defense hasn't really been the issue tonight. Offense, on the other hand......
-
So I guess 1 loss equals 4?
-
That's coaching. That's scheme. If it's that easy to figure out, that's JV football, brother

You know, I didn't mean to type 'olay', but it's pretty accurate tonight.
Yes, I know it's spelled olé
-
This has little to do with Armstrong and much more to do with horrible offensive line olay
-
Just another classic Husker meltdown.
On the field
In the coaches box
On huskerboard

Good thing Kendall's planning on being part if this offense, then.
-
Ameer's good.
Kenny's good.
Tommy's good, most of the time.
Imani's large and good.
Defense can be good if Randy can play.
Westy has sticky hands.

I'll use Bo's words here:
He said some good things. Some things could have been better.

Who cares?
I think many on this board need to learn what a fact actually is.All media types hate Nebraska. This is a well documented fact.

so you're saying that we can speculate that would have been a fact if he actually ever played a down of OT.
I get that the choice was his but the fact remains... All Conference DT, All American OT.
Do people realize that Baker played DT because he wanted to?
Oh. My. Goodness. I strongly hope the latter half of that statement is true. We do NOT need another Baker situation.Coach Pelini said freshman D.J. Foster is working out on the D-Line. But the long term plan is for him to still be on the O-Line. #Huskers
Pretty much fact, I guess...
