  1. I like it. It will keep the game more honest whatever the outcome. After all isn't that part of being a Husker? Hard work and fair play? It goes in line with everything I hope we as Husker Nation stand for...
  2. I agree on getting a west coast team scheduled that will get covered on television. Many stations only do regional coverage and its tough sometimes for the Huskers to get TV exposure on the west coast. By dong this as one poster mentioned it would provide exposure to west coast recruits. I think its a good idea.
  3. Living in Everett, Washington I love seeing my beloved Huskers hopefully getting another one away from the Huskies and Cougs. This is a fairly talent rich state and I would like to see more of it. This kid is big and would make a great addition to the O-line.
  4. I've always believed we are the best fans in the country until we do things like boo at Santino Panico. Granted, the guy was struggling but I don't think it speaks well of us as fans when we boo at college kids. Just my opinion.
  5. Not to take anything away from Ahman Green who was a great back for the Huskers, but I'm surprised that Mike Rozier didn't garner more votes. All the guy did was win a heisman trophy, set Husker rushing records, and play for a national title. Definitely a great back for the Huskers! For me, what's even more disturbing is that Lawrence Phillips got more votes than Mike....And all he did was tarnish the Husker program for years!
  6. Gotta admit that is a good catch...Zac Bowman should've been listed. You know I thought I left someone off but couldn't figure out who it was!
  7. While it isn't listed, I live in Washington state and while watching the Huskers beat the Washington Huskies in Seattle, the fans I must admit were pretty classy. Also had another opportunity to travel with the Huskie fans to Lincoln in '98 and again, during the bus ride out to Lincoln (I was the only one wearing red) they treated me well. The Washington/Nebraska series has been a pretty good one and one that I hope will be renewed sometime soon.
  8. What'ya think? Did I leave someone off? If so, let us know. Share your thoughts!
  9. I think they're in for a rude awakening! Sporting News Doesn't Get It Link
  10. Athlon Sports poll You have to scroll down pretty far and its on the right-hand side of the page
  11. Even though my family left Nebraska when I was just a toddler, my father raised me on Husker football and I've always been a fan. Living in states like California and Washington I've often experienced the comaradarie that comes with being a member of Husker Nation even out-of-state. When I get a chance to talk to a fellow fan, it's almost like we've known each other for years and are able to share our favorite football memories. It was a thrill for me to travel to Lincoln in 1998 to witness my first home game (vs. Washington) and experience first hand what it is like to part of the "Sea of Red" and visit my beautiful hometown of Fremont. I will go back again someday hopefully in the next couple of years. But I agree, being a part of Husker Nation is truly special.
  12. I think this is a team that the Huskers can ill afford to underestimate and they won't. Zac Taylor playing his former school makes this game interesting. The Huskers will still be working out some kinks in week two, but should come out on top possible in a close one.
  13. Husker Nation...I gotta ask....How does it feel to have two high caliber quarterbacks in Taylor and Beck!? The road ahead looks lined with gold!
  14. I hearya! Now that I've seen videos on both Beck and Taylor oh man, what a freakin' tandem! We're getting loaded at QB folks!
  15. Entertainment is it's only redeming value
  16. This'll get you salivating during the off season Harrison Beck video
  17. A great run indeed...I have it on video. But Rathman was a fullback for the Huskers.
  18. Okay, maybe I'm a bit of an optimist but I think that 9 wins is very possible with potential losses against Tech and Oklahoma. I agree that the offense will be improved with ZT at the helm and I think the receivers can make plays. The running back stables are full with Porkchop, Brandon Jackson, and Marlon Lucky on the way. The defense is a little suspect, but still think they can eek out 9 wins. The realist in me would probably say more like 8 wins, but hey, gotta have faith! Husker Nation, I can say it enough....we just need to be patient! Better days are coming! This year will show tremendous improvement and maybe break back into the Top 25 and our boys will make a trip to a significant bowl game. Next year....we show the nation that WE ARE NEBRASKA! But the time is now to BE RED, BE PROUD!
  19. Not the moves that made Touchdown Tommie famous, but entertaining.
  20. Which one friends? Let's talk about it! If you click other, tell who it would be!
  21. Well I guess I have to recant the rumor mill comment....The Green Bay papers were a little slow getting it out. This is a shame.
  22. No story here and it's a Green Bay newspaper! Rumor mill run amok? Green Bay Paper sportspage
  23. Congrats Josh! Glad to see another Husker make it to the big time!
  24. Congrats Barrett! He'll sure help shore-up that defense that was number one in the league a year or two ago.
  25. As a Raider fan I'm delighted to have Fabian Washington as the newest addition. First round, 23rd pick. I'm sure some of you won't share in my enthusiasm that he went to the Raiders right?
