sorry, if Bo was a good DC then he wouldn't be hanging by a thread at Youngstown St. making 200k a yr... or the other factor, maybe, he is a good DC and his antic and temper tantrums kept him from getting other jobs.... Either way your post is inaccurate..!

He turned down many jobs dude, he's rich, he likes coaching there.

Carl didn’t just marry a booster’s daughter. He had an affair with a mega booster’s daughter in law (who had kids with the booster’s son) and basically the booster told NU either Carl goes or my $$$ goes.

Ahh yes the old you little have no proof of anything guy, knew you would be here.  "But I heard from this guy and he knows some real people and they know and they told me "

In my mind this makes a lot more sense than him leaving LSU for NU.

Let's see, you just win a NC with arguably one of the better teams in CFB history, have an outstanding WR corps, are one the best recruiters on the team and operate in a state and area of the country that is overflowing the high end talent that are jumping at the chance to play for you.

And you want to leave that to go to a school that is currently irrelevant, has 2 less wins in the last 3 years combined than you had just in this year, has had losing record 4 of the last 5 years and exists in a virtual recruiting wasteland for high end talent compared to where you are at.

Yep, who wouldn't just at that chance /.

    Fact, he was never interested

Did he steal your girlfriend or something?

Nope he's just not that good, everyone still tries to convince themselves he was.  He was average the entire time he was here.  Very similar rhetoric on how good Tanner Lee was.

You don't hear a great CB's name much.  Jackson's man almost never caught the ball.  Plus he made some great plays.  We will miss him.

Btw his film is GREAT.  Im not sure where u got this idea he has poor film.  The guy is also a good man.

This team will excel in pass defense with him not on the field.  And yes plenty of his guys caught the ball, or he was incredibly burned on go routes, or completely let up on trying to tackle a runner, watched guys walk into the end zone while he was jogging.  Doesn't matter, he's gone and Nebraska will be better for it.

I’d advise him to say thanks but no thanks.   No sense risk injury.  He will either get a pro offer or not no

matter what and playing parts of one all star format likely not going to suddenly make a high pick.  IMO.
He’s had 4 years of film to show the scouts and can test etc.

His film is poor, he needs this.  He's not good at recognizing routes, or plays.  He has to somehow prove he's willing to tackle, which I'm pretty sure he won't.  If he does that says more about how much he "cared" while he was here.

It doesn’t matter how we recruit or develop physically because...

Sideways offense and bend but don’t break defense doesn’t scream physicality.

In fact it screams the opposite to our opponents.

Old school Oregon will never survive in the B10.  What Oregon is doing under Chritobol will compete in any league.  That’s what I hoped we would look like under Frost, but we don’t.

Perhaps we should scrap the Oregon speed thing and just become husker power again.  Remember the days when we could run on third and short and consistently pick up first downs.

Did Frost watch any wildcard games?  They all use the fullback and the I formation.  They get physical with play calling.

Just mirror the Buffalo Bills, you will be in every game.  Ruthless aggressive D, run first offense, crazy uncontrollable QB that simultaneously is your best and worse chance to win.  And physical in all aspects of the game.

Ha, where did I say they weren't good enough for the team? I said that is where you should get ST help and depth at all positions unless they outperform.

Snodgrass should provide ST help and depth. That is where solid 3 star kids should be counted on unless they force the coaches to put them on the field by performing

If we want to get back to winning the conference,  I stand by the statement above.   I don't think expecting a kid with one P5 offer,  and an .86 ranking, to start at ILB is a recipe for success versus hitting on 4/5 star kids (i.e. Keyshawn Greene).   Are there outliers and might he be great? Of course but it shouldn't be assumed or counted upon.

Awe yes another post about how recruiting websites know all

And you know why he expected better because he a winner.  He won’t be satisfied with 9 wins and a whale trophy.  He came he to swing for the fences.  First he needs to get enough players on the team to play the game.

Or not lose the game himself because he made atrocious in game decisions.

I’ve seen across threads people blaming all of the current situation on mike Riley.  No Riley apologist but let’s be clear, Frost is cleaning up the mess of the last 20+ years.  That includes mr, bo, cally, and yes Solich.  As much good as TO did for our university as HC he really screwed it multiple times as an AD.  The administration also deserves as much blame as can be thrown their way.

I know now this may hurt many of the bo apologists who think the man falls just short of god but thems the facts.

It will take time and that’s because of the amount of damage that can occur over 4 coaches and 20+ years.

Every single time I read your post and then look up to find your user name, giggle, and just imagine a guy finishing a 1.75 of Windsor in his "heshed" out in the back yard.  Yelling at his streaming service issues with a pack of Winston no filters.  You are your own meme

    Who cares?

I care about this team and how it's doing now. I couldn't care less what Frost has to say about any of his predecessors and I doubt he gives it any consideration either.

Well the fact Frost continued to blame Mike for his team's performance this year, says that is a lie.

Alright posters in the know. I have an honest question.

What exactly does “not buying in” entail when it comes to a starter or major contributor?

    Not practicing hard?

    bad attitude?

    calling the coaches names?

Seriously. Why would they be getting playing time if they were somehow holding back the teams culture growth?

For now, I’m calling B.S. when it comes JD (or Domann) “not buying in”.

Easy excuse for a coach to get away with not blaming him or his staff for inherently idiotic game plans, lack of coaching, terrible clock management, terrible timeout management, not telling your team that running out of bounds is the dumbest thing you could ever do, not taking a player out who is clearly being a barrier to you succeeding.   The team didn't buy in enough to go find a kicker either, I mean if they bought it they would have made those kicks.

I just want a bowl game. If they're not bowl eligible by the Ohio State game they're f#&%ed.

Why what does this really accomplish?  So you make to some crap bowl? Big whoop can't wait until we make too 3 crap bowls in a row?  Win the west or the season doesn't meet expectations.  Period

He is not going anywhere! That thought should have not entered your head let alone allow you to post it.

He only has 4 years as a major college coach, it will take some time.

It doesn't take time to teach your quarterback elementary clock situations, that last sequence was the dumbest thing I have ever seen. No coach at this level should be that dumb in critical situations.  I don't give 2 forks about how long he'd been coaching, and HE WASN'T COACHING AT THE END.  You want to be the head coach then you can't make midget football mistakes, quit giving excuses for him when he clearly doesn't understand the game situation.

A starting defense competing in a game it's still possible to win and a second string defense trying to slow the bleeding aren't the same variable.

Adrian is already a better passer than Taylor was in his best season. That's what's wild - truthfully he's gotta be at worst the third best passer we've had in the last 40 years and some small insane contingent of online husker fan savants act personally upset with the kid that he's not riding the pine pony indefinitely.

Here's how 'bad' Martinez played Saturday, in order of plays where he passed or ran:

1 - perfectly placed bubble on the numbers, but loss of 4 due to Stoll whiffing on his block.

2 - perfectly placed underneath to Mills for 8

    3 - QB draw diving on 3rd for 6 and a first

4 - perfect swing pass to Mills for 11

5 - incomplete, deflected by a defender right in his face (tried to side arm it around him but still got knocked down)

6 - incomplete screen pass to Mills, threw it behind him (but still catchable)

7 - 3rd and 10, escapes pressure and runs for 7 (unable to tell if anyone was open downfield)

8 - bad snap, corralls and throws perfect throw out to Johnson for 12

9 - 3rd and 5, incomplete to Spielman on a slant. threw out it out in front of his body but from the broadcast cam it looks like any further back and the defender would have batted it. Spielman got both hands on it, but no catch

10 - checks down to spielman in the flat as his third read, gain of zero

11 - cool, weird little misdirection corner fade thing to wide open Allen in stride (pass a little high) for 20 some yards

    12 - 2nd and goal run to the 1

13 - 3rd and goal qb sneak touchdown

    14 - qb draw for 1

15 - another screen attempt batted down by defender right in his face

16 - bad swing throw to johnson too far in front of him and leading him into a defender

17 - quick outside dump to stoll for 6

18 - 22 yard pass to spielman in a soft spot of the zone

19 - bad dump in the flats on an rpo (he made the right read, but there was a delayed corner blitz that forced him into a bad throw) incomplete to stoll

20 - sacked for -1 yard, had two guys open for short dumps

21 - bad decision but double tip leads to spielman touchdown

22 - cuts an option keeper upfield for 21 yards (fumbles as he's going out of bounds)

23 - underthrows a throwback to stoll in the end zone, intercepted

24 - checks down through three reads to kade warner for gain of 3 (cant see whats going on downfield)

25 - incomplete to johnson crossing underneath on 3rd down (right through johnson's hands

    26 - designed run for 16 yards

27 - roll out left off the wrong foot perfect pass placement in stride to spielman for a touchdown

28 - 25 yard pass to mike williams finding another zone soft spooot

29 - play action left rollout pass (good accuracy) complete to chris hickman who slips for no gain

30 - good read option pitch to johnson for 4

31 - pa bubble to spielman for 15 (again, ball exactly where it should be to give receiver an easy catch and good momentum/stride)

32 - 32 yard zone read keep run

33 - 12 yard completed pass i dont know who to

34 - bad double coverage throw into the endzone for spielman, lucky not to get picked

    35 - 10 yard pass to mcaffrey on 3rd and 7

36 - 13 yard zone read keep to the outside

37 - option pitch to johnson for 14 yards to the 1 yard line

    That isn't true
