Didn’t Evans have a season ending injury after a decent first season?

I got hurt my Freshman year in college.  After 8 months of rehab, I lost the love.

That’s a good possibility. I was the same way in high school with track. Was running my PR for the 800, blew out my hammy early in the year. After fighting to get back, tweaked it a couple weeks before Districts and I was just done. I probably could’ve made it back, but I didn’t have the desire anymore.

Now that's a different deal if you are 0-5 waching in person during that era. Definitely something to be superstitious about there.  Thank you for not going inside in 95. :cheers

My 0fer has come during a time Nebraska loses at the same rate as changing underwear it seems.

I’ve always thought of myself as a bit of a good luck charm. NU won the first 22 games I went to (26 if you count spring games!). Those games included the Alex Henery game-winner against Colorado, the Kansas State blowout in 2017 that was an incredible anomaly for the season, the Denard Robinson injury/Russell Bellomy charity game, Montee Ball “fumbles” for the first time in forever (our only win vs. Wisconsin in the B1G), the Westerkatch vs. Northwestern (while sporting a ‘stache), and Nebraska’s only undefeated in Lincoln season since Lincoln was in office. Also, Corey Cooper inexplicably walked up to me from behind and gave me a shoulder rub before a game, then nabbed his first career interception later that day.

Then I went to four games in 2013 with a girl whose four year tenure at UNL coincided with the Calliban era. Turns out her jujoo overpowered my good luck, because we lost all four.

After that brief stint, NU started winning again when I wasn’t with her. Instances including the OT win vs. Iowa in Pelini’s last game, the Miami 2014 win (best game day environment I’ve ever experienced), and Kenny Bell running into me on the sideline, then scoring a 69-yard touchdown on his next play.

I’ve only been to one game since 2014, and that was our loss to Iowa in 2015. I sat in the press box for that one, which obviously means my good luck is only airborne and cannot travel through glass.

    My overall attendance record: 29-5

I think the University should just give tickets to @WyoHusker56 and me for the foreseeable future.

EDIT: The Huskerboard members game list tells me my memory sucks. No surprise there.

All TRUE fans know who Steve P. He is the root cause of all our problems.

Steve is the opposite of Dr. Tom. What Bob, Tom and Frank built, Steve tore down.

Actually, Tom Osborne is. He set all these expectations with his 60-3 run. Then he goes and steps aside just because Frankie wanted his. We know how that story goes.

Why did we try out guys from the men's soccer team, but not anyone from the women's team?  There has to be someone on campus who can kick it over the lineman.

If a scholarship athlete from another sport comes over and participates in even one play, that scholarship gets counted toward the team limit.

    That, or Frost is sexist.

That hit was within 5 yards of the LOS, so it was legal.

That only applies before the ball is in the air... in the NFL. The five yard rule doesn’t exist in college football.

By either set of rules, it was pass interference.

  6. Kugler is the first announcer I’ve heard that correctly states it as ‘x’ points straight, not unanswered. Granted, it was after I tweeted to him about him saying unanswered; but he corrected Millen later in the same game.

I’ve always liked him, but he won my heart that day.

Then why are you posting if you don’t care? Seems like a silly thing to do and a complete waste of time.

For the record I even said that “beg” was my word choice. Yet you still got defensive and threw a hissy. Wahhh!

I thought I was a curmudgeon; but if that’s what you call a “hissy”, that’s a you problem.

Also, apparently I can’t just assume inference anymore.

Yea except based on where the program is thought it SHOULD be...Should we really beg (my word) for 7-6 to be included just so we can add 15-20 more wins or so to an awful statistic?

If we do....then that's more telling of where the program is than the stat alone.

Beg? I have zero interest in how many wins, losses, or hotdogs shot into the upper deck.

I could say “Nebraska is 26-0 when playing a team with birds as their mascot” or whatever. Just pointing out winning record isn’t quite as arbitrary.

Don’t let your perceptions project onto others’ posts.

  9. I don’t disagree that we’ve been worse since then, because we certainly have. I’m not even arguing against a “curse”. But arbitrary stats aren’t the best way to back it up. Anyone can pick out arbitrary stats to backup their hypothesis.

I think a winning record would be better. After all, you said 7-6 teams didn’t change it that much.

    carry on.

I wouldn’t call keeping him from playing college football until the matter is resolved a “severe” punishment.

I think it’s an incredibly sh***y thing for him to do, but to say that’s not severe punishment when he could be acquitted is flat out bananas.
