  1. Well, I think most people in Nebraska thought it was going to be a lot closer than it was, and if you look at our offensive production this year, we very well could have gotten beat...

One burden we bear at Nebraska is all those National Championships, once you get the taste of it, you want more, and you expect them. That is something that most other teams never get, and very few get a chance at the number that we have won, and can even contemplate knowing what it feels like.

Its true, like a drug, get a taste of it and want more. :bonez

  2. yep, and then there are reports that Carnes is a 'lock'...

It'll be fun to see what happens. Heck, I could live with either.

    OR BOTH!!! :clap

Has anyone mentioned the scholarship opening up from Josh Williams leaving?(I dont pretend to know how this works)

Josh Williams is staying.....Chris Williams has left. Big William hangs around here. :)

    O!!! my bad.

That is good cause i Like Josh a lot. I have had 3 classes with him. He actually shows up. pays attention and doesnt sleep. He takes full advantage of his scholarship unlike some other players i have had classes with.

  3. He is wanting a spot with us. I really dont know if there will be room.

I know it might eb wrong but we might need to look at pulling offers or asking guys to walk on. Getting depth at Oline would be huge right now.

  4. Nice job out of conference.

Stick with Kansas, dont have to win but gain some confidence!

finish between 4-6 in the big 12 hopefully get a tourney spot.

I got season tickets for the first time, havent made many games but all i know is the student section needs to get revamped. I really wish the students cared half as much about Basketball as they do about Football.

  5. Nothing we can do about it now.

Lets move on and get payback in Lincoln in 2010.

You're saying this to a fan base who is still bitter about the 1982 Penn State game.

Ya, but let me help you out. I have been a Minnesota fan(every sport i root for) last time we won anything...1991 with the Twins.

I didnt become a Husker fan till 2007 but i can tell you i already know this is better then being a Minnesota fan because i feel Nebraska isnt ok with just being good, you guys want to be GREAT!

  7. Doesnt mean much other then we dont have to climb as much. If we win our first 5 games(should be 5-0) and they win their first 5(Texas Tech and Oklahoma might be tough)

but if we are both 5-0, we are talking 2 top 5 teams maybe. Gameday!?!?!?!

We dont play either one of those teams next year but texas could be gameday.

I never said we did. I said Texas plays TT and Oklahoma in their first 5 games. I am more talking about if both teams will be 5-0 entering the game.

  8. Suh has the size of a DT, the athletic ability of a MLB and the pressence of mind of a leader. He keeps his mouth shut, he sacks the QB, stuffs the run, intercepts and tips passes.

He will do everything you want and need and more. He is a stand up guy.

  9. Okay, here goes:

-- Mobley intends to give his verbal to NU today, but hasn't contacted any of the NU coaches about it yet. HI will update their site when they have information on it.

-- NU commit Jermarcus Hardrick is moving to Lincoln this Saturday (1/9) for the spring semester.

-- NU commit Walker Ashburn is planning his official visit on Jan. 15th.

-- No new updates on Owa.

-- No new updates on Brion Carnes.

-- No new updates on Corey Cooper.

Thanks, your info is much appreciated! :star:star:star:star:star

  10. Well I work for Nike so..... I like them

    - the technology involved in our uniforms is actually amazing Pro Combat gear will be the future.

sidenote: I have to buy off brand Husker gear so I can wear it to work. I wish we would be a Nike team again my life would rock with my 40% discount

Here is fun tool you can actually design your teams full uniforms: ( I make Husker uniforms to pass the time)

    Uniform designer from: Nike

I am going to try it out.

    Thanks

  11.

I would hesitate to mention Northwestern in the same sentence as Stanford, by the way. There are a select group of top caliber schools in the nation that are every bit as prestigious as the Ivy League schools, but Northwestern is not one of them. Maaaybe I'm wrong.

Not sure if I would put Northwestern or Stanford in the Ivy League league ( ;) ), but I would say Northwestern and Stanford are on the same level as each other. Of course it depends on what discipline/major you are talking about, but as far as academic prestige goes, they are similar. Nebraska is a good two or three notches below those schools academically, sorry to say it.

Yeah I didn't mean to imply that they're Ivy League, but they're the closest thing to Ivy League status.

Dont forget about West Virginia and their great academics :sarcasm:rollin

  12. I would say 70% chance he is in Red. The only reason it is so low is cause he is still comitted to Illinois, so he must love something about them(no idea what they are slowly becoming the crap of the Big ten)

Kids that grow up in Illinois usually dream of playing in the Big 10. I remember my school's star running back when I was a senior was supposed to have offers from every Big 10 school by the time his season was done (ended up playing fullback at Illinois State, but he was a darn good fullback), but that didn't happen obviously. My guess is it's that this kid heard nothing but Big 10/Notre Dame while he was growing up and still is somewhat leaning in that direction.

I grew up in the big ten aswell(Minnesota Golden Gopher) I thought the Big Ten was prime time, till i visited Nebraska and saw what the Big 12 is all about. If it is atmosphere Cooper wants, he should pick NU.

Hmmm...Minnesota native, came to NU over Big 10 schools. My guess is that you're either Murtha or Swift. lol jk :)

I am no hutchinson boy. I am from the cities :corndance

I am happy to see Bo is getting some minnesota guys in his class though.
