I know one thing...I'd sure like them to play like a Blue Blood again....
Last time Michigan won the Natty, we split with them. wow have we had different paths since...

Im just saying this is where we are after 20 years of failed attempts. not a comment on the coach. Ill give him 3-4 years...although we all know we will know in less. I spent the first 40 years on my life watching great football in Nebraska with 1 coach. we are on our 6th coach in 25 years? The only old power that has never recovered. Just thoughts Id never see this but accepted it 10 years ago. hopefully this coach is the one....

Just curious.. since we missed out on the extra 15 practices for a bowl game.
What kind of rules are in place to keep the roster from meeting and running their own “practice”. With maybe some coach suggestions.
Kind of like the voluntary High school practices in July, that coaches can run as “camps”.
If the upper classmen are intent on winning, what is preventing them from doing this for next year?
this is a question more than anything….
they can do what they want with no staff in attendance. this isn't about more practice, its about better, bigger players and coaching / in game decisions

They won 6 games. You do realize that's how it works, right?
sure do....but its still R. they are better than Nebraska and few thought they deserved to be in the B1G. ...I could same about NW, Minn, Maryland yada yada. Thats how bad it is in Lincoln.

also you prob wont be surprised how many kids in diff sports don't want anything to do with post season if they aren't playing for something decent...If it's a garbage bowl in a 1/2 full stadium in mid December, they are not interested in 15 practices and travel at all. they're tired and want to be done, go home for holiday etc. the season is a grind. they are done with it.

the Iowa loss was a really bad loss. we had the defense, but still it slipped away...Its hard to watch all these post season games and Nebraska isn't even in the same universe..I know.... "next year, next year"...its been about 15 of those "next years" now .

Hey folks, I'm not the most active poster on this board, being a rabid Gophers fan and all. But some of you will have seen that I said that I hope the Huskers finish 11-1 this year. I really mean it, I'd like to see your team succeed. After all, though I consider Nebraska a rival, your team isn't a hated rival. The nicest outcome I can think of in the Big Ten West would be for Minnesota to finish first and Nebraska to come in second with defeats of Wiscy and the Ioways on the ledger.
So good luck, all. And don't forget why Iowa plays on artificial turf...
Well at least the "1" is out of the way

One thing is for sure, there are some programs who have coaches in years 1-3 that have been impressive years and bowl runs, seems some power is shifting. K state winning the Big 12 beating eventual Natty competitor TCU ,Tulane is just the latest. there were a couple other very good bowl wins with new coaches. If these programs can do it, it would be an unbelievable crime if we don't. Lets hope this works out this time for Nebraska. 5th time is a charm?

heck, Imagine if Nebraska's original transition 20 years ago to the next coach had gone as well as K states recent change seems to have gone

I am not sure if this is supposed to be a dig at Adrian, but you go for it. Howard has come in and played great for K-State this season, but Kleiman also gave credit to Adrian for helping Howard along the way and Adrian being a leader to the backup QB and the entire team. Adrian is part of a Power 5 conference championship football team, and a top ten program. It sucks that it didn't happen at NU.
not a dig, tough bounce. anyone who has played or had a kid play at this level knows you hold your breath for 4 years

not a dig, just a tough bounce.

nothing like representing your team for the coin flip in OT of the Big 12 championship. Brutal. Howard is a stud.

As of 11:00 AM this morning, Nebraska is a dangerous opponent for OU.
