  1. Greetings from Louisiana On my radio show yesterday, I probably jinxed you. Sorry. I said that Nebraska had the talent and the schedule (Texas at home, no Oklahoma), to go 12-0 this year. I believe the Blackshirts are back (even without Suh) and the offense will be much better. That just leaves a game with Oklahoma (my pick to win the South) standing between the Huskers and the BCS championship game. You can blame me if it doesn't work out. Good luck this season. I'll be rooting for you.............There is no place like Nebraska.
  2. Hello everyone, You can blame that blog on me. It was a pleasure to be a part of the 300th Consecutive Sellout at Memorial Stadium last Saturday. And I must say that I've never had a response to anything I've written in the past like this. I have received over five dozen emails from Nebraska fans from all over the country commenting on the blog. There's an awful lot of pride...and that's understandable, because you have an awful lot to be proud of. And to Tiger Tim....let me illustrate for you.... The previous week, I was at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge. At halftime it was still a football game. LSU had kicked a field goal to go up 17-3. By the time halftime was over, 15000 fans had left to go outside, watch other games and drink. At the end of the third quarter (24-3) Tiger Stadium was half empty. By the time the game ended, there were maybe 15000 fans left in the 91000 seat stadium. 6000 of them were wearing red. I am sure there have been times when Nebraska fans have left early. But they didn't on Saturday in a game that was over midway through the second quarter. Get my point? Now, to the rest of you....thank you for your hospitality and your passion for college football. I do believe that we are a better football team than what we showed on Saturday and hopefully we'll show that when conference play opens for us on Oct. 10th. You all have made me a Huskers fan forever..... And, thanks for wearing all that Ragin Cajun Red to the game last Saturday Sincerely Jay Walker Ragin Cajuns Radio Network
