Basically what I got out of that post game show was that Bo has been coaching his players perfectly but they aren't listening to what he is saying. He kept saying the players aren't taking the coaching. He isn't surprised that this happened because he has seen it everyday in practice.

 

Sure he apologized to the fans and "technically" put the blame on him but in the very next breath he talks about how the players aren't doing what they are coached to do.

 

He sounded like some other coach we used to have who said he has "done an excellent job in all areas."

I heard this, too, and it disturbs me. It also might be related to this discussion.

Congrats on a good game. Wilson is a beast. One question, can we have our manhood back now?

OK, I just laughed for the first time this evening. I think they're busy running up-and-down State Street with it. Hopefully someone will be nice enough to return it in the morning.

No amount of screaming and cussing will get a team back that has tuned you out. I think it's time for Bo to change how he is trying to reach this team. Screaming and yelling is obiviously not getting the job at this time.

You're going to get jumped-on and attacked by many here, but you have hit upon a very important point. It's time to start asking questions like these.

Don't worry about this game... you are playing the best in the big 10... will get easier, especially next week :/

Your dad at least has an excuse after losing the head coach and several of the best players from the team. What's our excuse?

You can mock the people complaining all you want, it doesn't change the glaring reality that something is not right with the trajectory of this team. Three years ago, would anyone really expect there would be these types of humiliating losses in year four?

The coaching is fine. The execution is terrible. I've liked our play calls on offense, but Martinez cannot get the ball there at all. He throws like a 12 year old girl.

The play-calling? Like abandoning a run game with Burkhead that was having some success, even though we had a lead at that point. Calling pass play after pass play with a QB with questionable ability and decision-making in that area? The point of this offense was to take things OFF of Taylor's shoulders, not put more on during clutch situations. No, Beck did not have a good game, either.

Martinez' brain farts turned the momentum of this game in Wisconsin's favor, but there are plenty of failures to go around. Nebraska has issues at every level, including coaching.

When is there going to be consensus that Martinez is not the QB for us. Could Carnes really make MORE mistakes in games like these? Is that possible?

It's times like these "friendly" visiting fans show their true colors. That's why I don't trust them when they pop-in with a "Hiya Fellas!" attitude.

We were getting 4-5 yards with Burkhead and occasionally T-Mart would break one. Why did we get away from that? I know Wiscy is banged-up in the secondary, but we don't have a QB to exploit that. Beck, get better.

Martinez is coming unglued. This is my worst nightmare.

Those are the types of plays that will take the wind out of our defense. Have to get hands on Wilson.
