This. I don't quite understand why NU and MU are being bullied in this situation. Except for the fact that it's Texas. I mean, and excuse what could be my very elementary understanding of the situation, we are talking about an offer from the Big Ten that doesn't yet exist (maybe it does behind closed doors). How are MU and NU supposed to act on something that doesn't exist? It has to be a ploy to get us to say, "O hay, if we get asked we won't jump ship. We love you, Big 12. Here, Texas, do whatever you want. We're sorry we rocked the boat. Thank you, drive thru."

I live in STL, as well. It's not like I go to the Arch every Sunday. I pretty much do what I did when I lived in Omaha...go to bars, go to movies, hit a concert every once in awhile, hit a Blues game or a Cards gave once or twice a season.

I don't know how to feel about this. One, I HATE that he will probably go to Mizzou. I live in St. Louis and those on the stltoday boards are kind of obnoxious. Second, I am curoious (though unconfirmed) about recruiting styles at NU. If it's true that we are telling kids to 'either sh#t or get off the pot' (totally stole that from an earlier poster), is that how we want to go about things? Of course, we can't really have kids stringing us along and then two days before signing day go, "I'm not coming there." What do we do then? I understand why. I don't know. I'm rambling...

I like Herbie. I think he has always respected the Huskers (with the exception of the whole best team ever debacle). I am probably in the minority here, but I can't stand Bob Griese. I can't pinpoint why. Musberger sucks, too. But it doesn't have anything to do with a non-Husker love fest. He just sucks

This is what I got from another forum: "According to WHB 810, Mangino apparently had a physical confontation with a player after the KU-NU game. In all seriousness, WHB reports some sort of internal investigation regarding a physical confrontation between Mangino and a KU player. This is as of 12:30 pm today (November 17)"

The school of thought from another forum I frequent is that if it were related to Mangino's job, it wouldn't necessarily be about his "performance" in terms of wins/losses and the direction of the program. The concern might be that there's some serious issues between he and the administration.

Truer words have never been spoken. If Matt Barkley had a hangnail, they would cut into programming to let us know. As far as the alleged "hate"...I am not sure. I know this is just one guy, but Kirk Herbstreit seems to pick us to win games and is often disagreed with by the panel.
