  1. I hate how we play our toughest opponent of the year when most of our recruits are going to be there. It's unlikely we'll win that game, especially considering OU's defense - easily the best we'll see all year - and our lethargic and terrible offense. I hope we at least keep it close and pull someone out of that weekend.

Yeah. Cuz top level guys are not going to commit to a program that doesnt win on the day of their official visit right? There are NO OTHER FACTORS THAT POSSIBLY AFFECT A KID'S DECISION.

Notre Dame has proven in recent years that they can sign a highly touted class even in a year where they win 3 games. Callahan proved that he could bring in high quality HS talent without ever beating UT or OU.

JUST BECAUSE WE MAY NOT WIN THIS GAME DOESNT MEAN THAT KIDS WONT COME AWAY IMPRESSED.

  2. With how we are producing some tremendous talent at DL I dont see Rome going anywhere. Seeing Crick going off on Baylor only solidified his commitment IMO. Rome is a little bit ahead of where Crick was coming out of HS, and Rome plans to enroll early from what I heard. As with Tyler Gabbert: if Watson does leave we probably will lose him. But we cant keep Watson just because of one recruit he brought in. It goes without saying that we should sign a QB in this class though.

  3. What is lacking in the d-line is pressure from the corners, Allen and Turner are doing nothing, we need speed list Wistrom and Trev.

I am willing to predict a great year out of Allen and Meredith next year.

  4. I want to poach someone off of that Florida staff. I love their offense. They can spread you out and sling it all over the place, or they can just ram it down your throat.

But PLEASE get a young energetic guy in there and light fires under these kids' a**es!

  5. Bo Pelini is one of the most competitive guys in college football. Agreed?

With that said, do you really think that he will retain anyone that hurts his chances of winning football games? I dont think he will. If changes need to be made they will be made. I have all the confidence in the world in Bo.

This whole Watson thing might be a good thing. I believe that the OL coach at LSU was one of Bo's choices on the offensive side of the ball. If that is wrong then correct me. Cant remember the guys name, but he was the OC at Bowling Green. This whole Watson experiment might have given this guy some more time to learn a little bit more about different schemes, blocking schemes, etc.

This is a process. We WILL get back to where we want to be, its just going to take some time.

  6. 5 stars are not coming here unless we get this thing turned around. While lessor talented kids may look on a struggling team as an opportunity to play right away, 5 star players assume they will play right away and want a team that is competitive. We need to win and win often from here on out. And regardless of family affiliations it's going to be tough to get an instate 5 star away from UT or FLA

Callahan proved that highly ranked kids arent looking for just a winning program. Notre Dame has proved that as well. What have they done recently? Nothing. And their recruiting classes still remain highly ranked every year.

Roy Helu was a 3 star kid. Zack Taylor was a 3 star kid. Jared Crick was a 3 star kid. NU will bring in talent. Pelini is proving that with the amount of freshman that have contributed this year.
