Lee Harvey Oswald used to scream at the refs. Just sayin...

  2. I do too and they said the opposite. He wanted the Miami job, Arky was used more to get yet another undeserved raise from Tom. Yes. He wanted the Miami job. Due to his poor performance they chose a guy who had been a coach at Temple before taking their job. YOU ARE A COMPLETE RETARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If Bo were going to move on, after the 2010 season would have been optimal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Think about it. Around the time of the Miami rumor in 2010: 1) He had just turned a program around completely after a second trip to a conference title 2) He had just won ten games in the Big 12 which at the time was significantly harder than in the ACC 3) Harvey had just stabbed him in the back through the media 4) The media in Omaha had started to really harp on him 5) The sanctions that Miami would face had not even been heard of until later that spring Put down your crack pipe and remember the situation.
  3. Hedley, you lied about Bo's behavior at his son's sporting events. You were either blatantly lying or reaching.
  4. I think we cooled on him. We are in on Clinkscales, and thought we had a shot Stuckey. Both are probably better prospects. I would agree here.
  5. I'm skeptical of JMitch as well. The word out of fall camp was that JRose is a monster but plays too risky for Coach Joseph's liking.
  6. You broke down point number one in a long post. Where is the rest?
  7. I would add to this our inability to develop depth. I know we've had a lot of injuries in the past years, and I know people say that we simply didn't have the talent and the numbers. But I feel a lot of this was simply due to coachs refusing to play numbers. I've heard Roy Williams speak about this at coaches conferences. I know its different sport but coaching philosophy is coaching philosophy. He has always said that if you want depth you have to play depth. you have to put some young guys in the game even if they're not completely ready. Instead we have a tendency to go with the same guys play after play game after game. then they end up getting injured because they never get a break and we're screwed. We have depth now. Thin at a few places, but our make shift OL just spanked a pretty good DL.
  8. Serious question, EZ.yomkti Why should Bo, in your opinion, get 8 years to build his program, and then the next guy had better win 11 games in year 2? You remove a guy to get someone better. Bo won 9 his first year and 10 his second year. The next guy better beat that. If that doesn't happen we've wasted a lot of time, money, and a lot of resources we will never get back. People wanna think we are irrelevant now? Just wait. With talent that I admit is on the team and you seem ready to build statues of, next year with a new coach would be far from a train wreck. However.... This premise that a new coach must win 11 games in two years, when theoretically, they could be trying to win with their starting QB hurt, similar injuries to their OL, Gregory declared for the draft, and has "great group of talent in the wings, just wait", is hilarious, hypocritical and obtuse. keep killing it +1 The fact that you are now allowing the excuses to a new head coach that you haven't given Bo is funny.
  9. I know what you were saying. Weird how you used a kissing men analogy.

People wanna think we are irrelevant now? Just wait. Does it not depend on the context of those games though? I mean what is our SOS those seasons? What is our record against ranked teams? How many did we play? Did we show up on national television and play a heck of a game? Did we get blown out? The next HC should be given 5 years unless it is an absolute train wreck which then you would obviously fire and hire again. You have to kiss a lot of toads to find your prince sometimes EZ. Wouldn't know that because I'm not after a Prince.

  12. No, it's the booster dollars that will ultimately have him removed. You guys are hi-larryous. Great opening post.
  13. No, I don't like losing. But it happens....to every team. And yes, some things need to be fixed. I've already said that. And no, I don't think getting rid of Bo is the answer. And all you have done since you've made your comeback this week is bitch about Bo. How can you deny that? Oh I obviously dislike Mr. Spaghetti on several different levels. Recruiting, Off the field antics regarding his temper, coaching, looking for other jobs etc etc etc. Why is it so terrible to voice my displeasure with Mr. Spaghetti when the program I love is being held back by him? He told you already what he thinks of all of us and it can only be said in the woodshed here. I am just looking forward to moving on from all of this after the Iowa game. Recruiting is so bad that we have a defense full of young kids that played every bit as good as the Michigan State defense did on Saturday. We also have a coach who is so unapproachable off the field that he let a little cancer patient who can never actually play football run a play in the spring game. There has been one job that Bo even considered. tOSU. Just wondering, with everybody being so sensitive an weird about racism, is the spaghetti comment aimed to be prejudicial to Pelini being Italian?
  14. Would you replace a 9 win coach for an 11+ win coach? If you can guarantee me 11 or more wins every season for the next 5 seasons you've got a deal. If a change is made 11 wins better come in year two.
  15. No, I don't like losing. But it happens....to every team. And yes, some things need to be fixed. I've already said that. And no, I don't think getting rid of Bo is the answer. And all you have done since you've made your comeback this week is bitch about Bo. How can you deny that? Man. Losing to MSU was a bad deal all the way around. Had we beaten them this guy wouldn't be here right now. Po he isn't anti-Bo. He's "pro-Nebraska."
  16. Okay, so you want Bo fired. Anything else you want to get off your chest? My favorite color is blue, not a really bright blue or a really dark blue but a blue that is a bit in between the two. Thank you for allowing me to get all of this off my chest Good. I shouldn't have to see any more posts from you regarding your thoughts on Bo. But tell me more about this blue color. when you mix it with red it becomes purple...... If your only thoughts are in the first quoted post you have no business in this thread.
  17. I'll have to look back at those plays to see what you mean. What I am talking about is when we are in the gun depending on where Ameer lines up tells the defense where the play is designed to go. I think you touched on it in your post. Ya, I have noticed this trend throughout football. High school level even. Start in a pistol and then shift to the side you want to tip the defense to. One more thing a DC has to worry about, are they tipping me to go that way or a they going to misdirection off of it? That's what makes it such a great system that Oregon and we run. 1) if Ameer is lined up behind Tommy but TA is at shotgun depth, we are running an inside zone read 2) if Ameer is lined up by his side, it's an outside zone read. 3) when you option off one player, may it be the DT, DE, OLB or whomever, you are creating a numbers advantage on the play side. Chip Kelly when he was at Oregon wanted other teams to know the first two points about his offense that based on the formations they could tell where the play was designed to go. When teams would over pursue it helped out his OL. The over pursuit and pre-snap reads the defense would make would open up cutback lanes.
  18. It is very interesting on this board that the ones who have been here longer than a lot of people are made examples of by the powers that be at times. This place has seen better days.

Hey Knapp. How's your butt not that Hedley's nose is buried in it?

  19. I Eichorst is a very hands off guy. I personally feel in this situation he should say something. This gives a lot of teams extra fire power in recruiting.
  20. That's what they said when Tom retired. And when Frank was fired. And when Callahan was fired. Firing Callahan was suppose to lose us booster revenue? Wasn't he the one the was bought out by private donations?
