Like i've said all along.  2 QBs will have to play singificant time.  Bunch will play a bunch next week.  Get used to it.

this game isn't getting played tonite.  if its just rain tomorrow i wonder if they will try to play tomorrow night. akron is already there and a holiday day on monday so shouldnt be class.

I think so.  The problem is Adrian Martinez.  He isn't going away.  If it was down to Gebbia and a junior or senior I think you could question his decision more.  Even if Martinez gets hurt for half the year, he probably comes back and starts next year because he's just a better fit.

good luck to the kid.  i had hoped he would stick around but i'm not at all surprised he left.  I do think he would've played quite a bit this year.

if it is martinez, i hope gebbia sticks around for at least this year.  i think they both will play.

most of the attrition so far has been good attrition.  free up those schollies.

Yes. I think if Scott Frost came to TO when he was being recruited and confided in him enough to elicit advice that TO would reserve for his own son, that advice would be to go to Stanford if he was so moved by his visit. 

 

He hosted some of the best players in the nation. Sarell, Parsons, Bookie. These guys didn't connect with Riley because he wasn't trying to win. 

 

 

Doesn't change the fact that he lied initially.  His buddies shouldn't have been here in the first place.  And it's only speculation on my part, but I'm not sure he would have fired Banker had it been solely up to him.

Makes no difference now.  He was a terrible hire (worse than Callahan imo) by a terrible AD.  

he also said he'd go out and get the best coaches and then just hired his buddies.  maybe he was lying to bookie too.  who knows with that guy.  good riddance.

what happened to the walk on CB that was getting some love last fall camp - jeremiah stovall?  Did he fall off the face of the earth?

i think it looks about right.  I'm not really concerned about who starts at QB.  I think they will both play on a regular basis and both will struggle at times.  RB will be Bell, Washington, Zig, & Bryant and he will go with the hot hand. OL is pretty much set.  OLB starters don't really matter as it will depend on situation.  Gifford, Dixon, Ferguson, Alex Davis will all play.  Maybe even see some Colin Miller there.  Safety will be Tre Neal and Reed or D. Williams.  A. Williams will play some too if healthy enough.  I think the top 4 corners will be Jackson, Bootle, transfer kid, Cam Taylor, and maybe Eric Lee or the walk on kid at times.  I think one of the safeties will play nickel at times too.  

He's gone.  If folks in the admin were covering this up this could be bigger than UM.  They could face sanctions.

Wilbon got way too big and slow.  His career at Nebraska is over.  Sounds like Avery Roberts needs to move on as well.  I think the top 2 backs will be Bell and Ozigbo, then Bradley.  I'm not expecting anything from Tre Bryant.  I wouldn't be surprised at all if he took a medical redshirt and retired from football.

I think it goes to show that they have some good character guys that were willing to stick around and put in the work.  Clearly gates was not and that's fine, he had other opportunities.  But not too many guys left.

the targeting rule might be the worse the rule in all of sports....it should not exist.  can't fault kids for getting caught by it.
