If he wants to go I'll wish him well.  I wouldn't blame him.  Frost clearly favors his guys and jd isnt going to be a focal point of the offense as we saw from this year.  I would just prefer he went somewhere else besides a team on the schedule next year.

Empathize with my posting history about this.  I think the rule is stupid as hell and have defended him.  I was just making an observation.  I think it's a shame because what he appears to have done doesnt warrant his life being ruined.

Martinez hasn't been able to stay healthy and looked like a grandma by the iowa game....its safe to say Luke will play quite a bit next year

It seems like this trial might have ruined his life.

I'm curious if he was hurt going into the season.  He wasn't right from the first snap of the season.  If he was healthy then, there was something going on mentally.

im not.  if scott wants to be mr. play caller i think at some point he has to realize he needs to go out and get a stud d coordinator and let him run things on that side of the ball.  chinander aint the answer to that.

I think there's some stuff physically wrong with him, but I think the biggest issues are in his head. He's not thinking as decisively as he did last year.  Maybe some injury is a factor in that.

 

Regardless, he's either going to fix it or lose the job to McCaffrey. There's no chance he gets another season to play like this.

Look at trubisky.  Sometimes the deep dive into and offense just ruins guys mentally.  Martinez objectively got worse and maybes that's managing expectations or the offense but clealy he broke mentally 

Martinez went full ytard this year.  He is dealing with transitioning or something in his personal life.  Remember last year when Scott would run hurry up stuff?  They obviously had to completely scrap because am cant handle it mentally.  Something is going on.

If martinez cannot throw the ball down the field why is he on the team? Can he play tight end?

I dont know what happened to martinez this year.  He looked athletic last year he looked honestly kind of fat and slow today.  He has to get healthy and get in better shape.

The defense isnt getting fixed until they hire a stud d coordinator instead of hiring buddies and brothers and 'gurus' like diaco....they need some who can actually implement a good scheme and develop players to fit it.....got neither right now

Quitters wouldn't be on a message board on a sat night.  It has been an objectively terrible year for husker football.  It's ok to be realistic but still hopeful.  It's not ok to enable poor play by saying everything is alright. 

This team isnt winning another game.  I'm hoping to see a lot of attrition in the off season 

Its going to take changing the culture so this team doesnt curl up in a ball and give up every time they face adversity.  they are good enough talent-wise to be competitive with every team they play.  bad locker rooms find new ways to beat themselves and we see that week in and week out.

you might also have to change defensive coordinators.  i dont know that culture is enough to fix that side of the ball.

This season is a complete loss.  If I'm the coach i keep working hard and my goal is to try to weed out the losers from the guys who still want to try and get better.  The losers I ask to leave after the season is over.

I dont want consistently mediocre and that's you're ceiling with Chin.  Even in 2017 they gave up 124 points the final 3 games and those were really the only decent teams they played.
