they outlawed them...new rule this year

Hope they paid full price for it. We don't need any more "scandals".

look at the google images of open ankle dislocations if you ever need to throw up

I'm happy Jared had a good workout after a nasty injury, hopefully some team falls in love with his skill set and takes him on the first day. As for mendoza, that just blows my mind why this kid couldn't find the field at any point in his career.
It does make you wonder, but we'll never know. There are a whole bunch of things Mendoza could have done or not done to keep himself off the field. From what I hear, Bo does seem to be pretty good about playing the guys who work hard in practice and do the things they are asked to do. Based on that, it seems like he must not have been getting it done at practice. I think Bo would have just kicked him off the team if it was an off-the-field issue but I guess its possible he could have just been in the doghouse for the last two years.

It's hard for me to believe that Kinnie runs a 4.41
There's no way Kinnie runs a 4.41
Some of the scouts had him hand-timed at 4.38
No way, don't believe it. 4.4 guys don't get caught from behind by Washington and Wyoming defensive backs.

Bo mentioned Kevin Williams and Thad Randle would be out the first fews days of practice. I don't think there was any mention of Chase Rome being out.

Does not look 37 to me. Seems like a guy the players will be able to connect with. Hopefully he can teach.
-
I wish him well in his move. He's got the athletic ability. Will he be able to tackle?

This is a complete wildcard and I'm not sure he has any interest in coaching right now but what about NFL hall of famer Rod Woodson?
I was thinking Merton Hanks

Daniel Davie isn't too happy, per Twitter @iam_DD.
none of them are
Davie isn't happy, Baptiste isn't happy, Bell and Stafford aren't happy.
But you know what, all those guys seem to be upbeat and ready to move on. and that is a good thing.
If i were a kid being coached by Raymond, i would feel like he slapped me in the back of the head and ran away.
Good news is, there is a lot of the former Husker talent that are probably chomping at the bit to get into Bo Pelini's ear and tell him why they should be the next secondary coach.
Eric Warfield, Mike Minter, heck 6th year DC of the Omaha Beef Tony Veland might give UNL a call.
Yeah, i got that too. A guy like Antonio Bell should be happy because he might sort of get a fresh start.

Whaley, Compton, and Fisher will start the first game.
Anderson, Roach, and Santos are the first subs.
If Fisher starts next year I'll eat my hat
He might. He could be this year's version of Thorellford.
The thought makes me sick to my stomach
I think you're being a little hard on Fisher, who is still recovering from a gruesome leg injury. If he returns to full speed, we could start three senior linebackers; I think that kind of experience would be very valuable. Behind those seniors, "The competition will include other names, such as Trevor Roach, Max Pirman, Graham Stoddard and redshirt freshman David Santos, the touted recruit from the 2011 class that Els said came a long way last season as a redshirt," according to Husker Extra. Add in Anderson, and that kind of depth would allow the three true freshmen to redshirt and compete for starting spots in 2013.
Hey, I hope Fisher has a great season. He seems like a good kid and I have nothing against him. I just said I could see him starting only because of experience and then he routinely gets burned. I saw that enough last year to last about 5 seasons.

Is everybody forgetting about Mike Marrow? If the hype holds true, he will ease the load on Rex this year and then be the primary back in 2013 while the other RBs get their share of snaps. Who knows what will happen between now and then, but I would hope that either Green, Abdullah, or Cross would show promise as the next workhorse sometime in the next 2 years.
I think Mike Marrow can be pretty valuable as a FB but the guy is huge and I can't imagine he has the speed or quickness to be an every down guy.
I don't think any one guy takes over the carries even next year. I think they will go back to what we've seen in the past where multiple guys play certain roles. Rex is pretty special in that he does everything well.

I expect ZA to start right away. I just hope people give him a break when comparing him to Lavonte. Lavonte was a great find, a really great find, and guys like him don't just come along every couple of years. I think he will be good but I dont expect him to be as good as Lavonte was right away. Compton will start at one spot and I think the other spot is Whaley's to lose. It's hard to talk about the other guys because we haven't really seen them. Fisher will probably go down as the defensive Matt Herian for me. A guy who showed promise but never really got back to where he was before the injury. My hope is that he can be a solid special teams contributor.

Where did Big Red go? Up where?

For spring ball at least. Evans will probably work out at safety too. AA will also take a few reps at DB just like he did last October.Cross
Green
Abdullah
Burkhead
Good Move.
don't forget Marrow...they are utilizing him as a RB/FB....lil bit of both I believe. Aaaaaaand from sources "in the know" that are right most of the time....they are stating he is moving tTo DB. Corey Cooper (S/DB) is moving to LB as well.
Evans at safety? He's tiny!
As for Heard, we'll see how this plays out. SJB had a breakout game after his move to CB and then we never saw him again.
I think SJB hurt his knee in practice after the OSU game and that's why he didn't play much the rest of the year. I think he was right in front of Jeffrey on the hail mary play.

Oh no you didn't!! Ha... Had to scroll up to find out what this thread was originally! And speaking of thicker gals....
My dad always said " son, if she ain't 280, she ain't a lady!!"
don't you mean 180. 280 is really pushing it. that is suffocation material.

The surprise commit is a fourth Cotton no one knew about. The big surprise ... it's a daughter. She will be red shirted and be a specialists long snapper and she punts and kicks. She is rated a two-star kicker ... but that was for soccer. She was looking at a couple of Missouri Valley schools but when her Dad offered she took it.
She's the prettiest kicker we will have ... I chose the biggest pic I could get. :-) It's official ... she's
