I do find it funny that most of us pretend we hate ESPN and College Game Day...but now we would love it to be in Lincoln.
Still the best college football show, hands down.
A lot I dont like about espn but if it's good for the program I'm ok with it

And I believe they counted the long swing pass to mo as a rush so last week was actually way worse

Watched niu beat my redbirds in week 1. It was an ugly game offensively neither QBs was very good. It ended up 24 to 10 but it was close until the very end. There is no way they score very much they will have to play a game similar to the one 2 years ago to win. If Martinez and the oline dont shart down their legs the whole game it shouldn't be close at the end.

I'm not sure we have that option right now is the problem
i know they dont. they are going to continue to see a lot of fake or delayed blitzes and confusing fronts until they figure it out.

they are if they cant figure out the problems on the offensive line. they suck right now. they sucked last year until they canned cole conrad and moved farmer to center.

This thread is a dumpster fire and should be locked imo. CapoVD or whatever you two call yourselves, if you dont like how the Washington situation has been handled take a sabbatical and dont support the team. No one cares what you think and your virtue signalling isn't impressing anyone. There is not reason to keep going on and on about this.

I am blabbering on about this because NE seems to be the only university that keeps players on the team after they have been charged by a DA with a felony.
If that does not bother you. It should. You act as if NE has no reputation to lose.
He should be suspended until the case is heard. Possession of child pormograhy is no laughing matter and I can guarantee you that there is no conspiracy. No one is going after Washington but the DA, no one else.
Well that's great that you are so morally superior. Maybe you should sit this season out until the case is heard

I don't think he is either, of course I don't know him, but I doubt it. I do know that pedophiles start early and often are not caught for decades. That is why the law is the way it is written.
You have to be kidding. This was something he was sent he didnt go seeking out. High school kids have sex and video tape it. Surely you can see the difference between Jared Fogle kiddie porn and this? Has it even been proven to be rape?
Yes, it was bad judgement to have anything to do with reply to that text but to present him as some kind of budding pedophile is bulls#!t and you know it. I'm really kind of sick of the fake outrage virtual signalling people fake nowadays.

The point is not some fan's opinion if the charge is bogus or not. The DA has legal and moral obligation not to charge unless he is certain a crime has been committed.
Does not anyone from the AD and HC care about the reputation of the school? What about the President of the school? The latest US News has NE at the bottom of the academic ranking in the BIG. This Washington episode does not help.
NE is more than its football team.
Why are you still blabbering on about this? He served a half game suspension and now its in the courts hands. In all likelihood it is dropped or settled with community service over the summer. They arent going to ruin this kids life over something stupid that he wasnt even directly involved with.

The O line doesn’t get it done- in both games this year. I hope they could do better with straight ahead man on man blocking but they allow too many defensive lineman through gaps or just get beat.
I don’t think get good pass routes from many of the receivers. I also feel that too many of our pass plays go directly to the sidelines wasting time getting upfield. They should throw most of their passes 5-15 yards deep upfield.
It's almost like they are more worried about getting up field than sustaining their block. That has to do with wanting chunk plays and not 4 to 5 yarders

The online sucks and this offense is completely I'll fitting for the big ten. You need to come out in the third qtr and the pound the ball. Listening to frost say he doesnt like the 10 or 12 play drives is incredibly alarming. That is the exact thing that you need to close out games like that. The defense has been better but the offense makes it very tough on them.

Mo is not being accused of a sexual assault. Also, Mo was not involved in the video which he had in his possession.
So if this issue with Hunt and Legrone is a sexual assault situation, which no one knows yet, then the 2 situations are completely different and should be dealt with differently.
I understand the known facts in the mo case are very different than actual sex assault. I don't like the CA law at all and have defended mo. However, the general public isn't necessarily very well informed or intelligent so they hear anything sex assault-related and lump it all in together. I would assume the coaches know the optics and would not not let one player play but indefinitely suspend another. It wouldnt look good at all.

For those clueless on this (prospective) subject (like me): https://www.venturacollege.edu/college-information/about-ventura-college/title-ix/definitions
it would seem to be sexual harassment or assault related if you look at that. thats about the only thing that could apply to a player.

I would think there would be a police trail if it was something like sexual assault or theft. If sex assault the punishment would also seem inconsistent with what is going on with Mo. The only way it could be grades is if they really needed to get certain grades in the summer classes and they didn't. That seems unlikely but possible i guess. Given the timing (end of camp when depth chart comes out) and the fact that hunt seemed to be in good graces a week ago (meeting with media), I wonder if they had a blow up with coaches or possibly quit when they found out how the depth chart was going to fall.

Looks like a solid addition. The video shows him making difficult catches with defenders all over him. Doesn't appear to be too slow or too fast but having sure hands in those situations and willing to take a hit is invaluable. He does a great job protecting the ball too. Someone coached him well.
that's what i saw too...looks like a dependable guy for am

If he's struggling academically why is he transferring? Or is he going to JUCO? Transferring because you aren't getting the grades seems weird to me.
may not have a choice if he didnt get his grades up....which it sounds like he didn't
people forget there is actual course work these kids have to do. i mean a lot are probably philosophy majors but you still have to be able to write a paper. a lot of these kids did little to no academic work in high school so college is a big jump in the classroom too for some

Excited to see the coaches actively churning the roster. That was something Pelini was never very good at. It sounds like most of the guys are moving on due to lack of effort on or off the field so its probably best for everyone. Now coaches just have to fill those spots with new croots.
