this team, for this year and next, really needs colin miller to step up and take that other MLB spot.  dedrick young is consistently a step or two too slow and out of position to make tackles.  it will probably be even uglier for him this week.  i'm not sure aaron williams is giving you a whole lot either at this point either.

couldn't care less about oregon state.  anyone who goes there either doesn't have better options or is ok with being irrelevant so they won't be missed.  who would ever hire a coach from a place like that?

it looked like stolt was limping coming out of the tunnel in street clothes.  probably not a real good sign for the next couple weeks

glad to see conrad getting benched. i've been calling for farmer to C/wilson to G for a few weeks.  lamar jackson might as well be moved to WR.  i think he's pretty much done.

i thought the defensive game plan sucked.  rushing 4 and getting no pressure was just not working.  this team badly needs an edge rusher.  glad to see cole conrad out of there.  he should be a reserve.  same with lamar jackson.  where was tyrin ferguson?  martinez will be really good but he makes a lot of dumb mistakes.  the refs were texas am awful.

there doesnt need to be both.  it was better before.

This team will not win a game if they continue to block like they have the last two games.  Like frost said, when you can't even block your most basic play and get back to the los you have no chance.  You can bet the defense sees this as well.  If I'm frost I'm making changes to my personnel up front.  I've seen enough to know the guys they have aren't able to do the job.

the quarterbacks, both of them, about died out there today because our lineman look like they play with blindfolds on.  Qbs are way down the list for me.

as I've said before, the lack of communication or knowing assignments is mostly on the center.  i'm not sure what the coaches see in him, but conrad has never been close to effective.  I would play him only in a reserve role.  I would move farmer (although he kind of sucks too) or wilson to center and let them learn on the job.  the other would play guard.  imo getting conrad out of there would be surprisingly effective like it was last year.  i would stick with the tackles and let them try and develop although farniok might end up being a guard.

this is an early turning point for frost.  he needs to identify the quitters and sit them on the bench.  give them a really tough week of practices and you will quickly see who the losers are if they aren't already known.  if you allow apathy like the last staffs have you will not be able to change the culture.

i think thats the next step for frost.  the guys that arent buying in need to sit.  the guys that are not executing their job consistently need to sit.  

i agree i think it will takes some tweaks.  i will say its hard to judge the scheme with a jv level offensive line.

the first thing you do is bench all of the offensive lineman.

For the record, IF Martinez is 100% Saturday, we win.  That's my hell yea, forget about what happened last Sat shot of kool-aid prediction.  

I find it strange that Breon Dixon has not played at all yet this year after he was mentioned so much in the spring.  I did not see him on either participation report.  I wonder if he serving a silent suspension that just has not been disclosed.

One thing i noticed was that our blocking from the tight end was horrible on a number of plays and directly lead to the play being blown up. 

 

Our O line played bad. But, the tightends were to blame sometimes too. 

 

PS....there were also sometimes on zone reads where the QB should have kept the ball and it lead to an easy defensive play that wasn’t the O line’s fault.  

 

In short....we had major issues through our the offense. 

yes, stoll had a really bad game.  i wasn't sure if some of the zone reads weren't really reads and he just supposed to hand it off.  but i agree, if he had the option he made a lot of bad reads.

i don't think bunch is as bad as that game plan (and blocking) made him look.  i hope they open it up for him a little if he plays this week.

all the talk of the oline not communicating goes back to the center.  that is his job to get the calls out.  I would like to see boe wilson step it up and move farmer to C.  conrad should be a reserve.

it can be a defenseless anyone.  refs aren't trying to determine if its a concussion worthy hit, thats not the rule.

yeah and the guy easily couldve got credit for the catch.  he looks the same as last year to me soft as charmin.  he was 2 steps behind guys all day.

i hate hate hate the targeting rule as much as anyone.  it may be the worse rule in sports but what he did was stupid and textbook what they are trying to prevent.

the offensive line looked like they were locked in migrant cages all week and not let out until an hour before the game.  i dont care if joe montana comes down to play QB, they won't win a game with the o line looking that ill prepared.

I can't take any more cole conrad.  i cant count the number of times i saw him just standing over the tackle because he got beat.   i really really think they need to move farmer to C and get boe wilson in there.
