  1. That's my sister. And I put this here because it is awesome: Longhorns are steers. It's that College Station school you have to worry about.
  2. Texas fans have had a pretty good indication that they would be the south rep since we beat OSU. The presale for the tickets occured the following Monday. When they went on sale to the general public on Nov. 5 you could only buy nose bleeds. You can't buy a pair in any place in the stadium right now through Ticketmaster. I would be absolutely shocked if it wasn't a 70/30 split for Texas. Especially with a MNC berth on the line.
  3. In the manner of sportsmanship, and because I feel bad that you are spending all that money to see your team lose (j/k), I'll hook you up. Unless you are staying at a hotel within walking distance to the stadium, the cheapest that you will pay for parking around the stadium is $20 at seedy places. (I.E. Used tire shops, lower income housing lawns, etc.) If you use the stadium lots the minimum that you will pay is $60. This is how you beat it... There is a place about 1/2 of a mile due west of the stadium called Lincoln Square. Basically, it is an outdoor shopping center. Here is the trick: http://www.lincolnsquarearlington.com/cowboys-parking.php 1. Park in the Lincoln Square shopping area 2. Go into Best Buy and purchase $40 worth of gift certificates 3. Place receipt in the dash of your car 4. Give gift certificates away as stocking stuffers 5. ??? 6. Profit If you are going to pay for parking anyhow, might as well get something out of it. I wouldn't recommend getting there any later than 3:00 PM. Now, if I get there and I see a bunch of red car flags in my spot, I'm cracking skulls
  4. They already did. There was a pre-sale a month ago for them. However, you weren't guaranteed your normal seats for a non-Cowboys event. Ironically, my seats are two sections higher than my normal seats. (I'm in 416 for the Big 12 CCG and 216 for the Cowboys) If you go to the tailgating area you will probably be able to find 4 seats. However, you may have to buy 2 pairs that are split. When the game went on sale to the general public the only thing left were uppers. I'd hit Craigslist or eBay if you want lower level seats without having to pay high scalper markups. There really isn't a bad seat in the stadium...
  5. Add 2003 K-State over ou to that list. ou still got to play for the title, but as a Texas fan it stung
  6. I'll give TE to Nebraska. Texas' tight end has only six receptions all year from what I could find... So there's 4 for Nebraska. i would say nebraska has a head coaching advantage. frankly, i have never been impressed with brown's coaching ability; for all of his talent, he should be in the national championship every year, or darn close. he only has 1 national championship and that was largely because of Vince Young, not because of coaching. his poor coaching explains why OU almost beat them this year. also, NU always plays UT tough, i think it is because Brown has a very uncreative, almost one dimensional, offensive. hopefully it is a good game, which we win; that would be sweet and make all the pain of this year worth it. I can't change your mind on whether or not you think Mack is a good coach, but at least represent the facts correctly. For starters he has never lost more than 4 games in a season...and that was his first year after taking over a 4-7 Texas team. He has rolled off 9 consecutive 10+ win seasons. I agree, I would like to see more Big 12 titles on his wall, but you can't say that he hasn't been in the mix year in and year out. He's never finished lower than 2nd in the south with a MNC caliber ou team getting the best of him for 5 straight years. Critical injuries and losing coin flips with the Big 12 gods also have played a role recently. Texas can cherry pick talent, but let's not forget who got them in that position.
  7. Grats to the Huskers. I look forward to the game!
  8. As a Dallasite, do not under any circumstances, take a shuttle. It is much better to park and take the side streets out. There is a REALLY good deal for parking if you know where to look. But, like the coveted parking path I use to get to the Texas/ou game, divulging that info here means more competition for me
  9. I'm a Texas grad and went to the '01 and '05 Big 12 CCG. You will be able to find tickets outside the stadium for face, or less, with ease. I bought 2 tickets on the North's side figuring that K-State would be our opponent and Texas would occupy 90% of the stadium. However, I know how well NU travels and may be looking to trade. So if you find a good deal, and the tickets happen to be on the Texas side, you will probably find a lot of people that are in the same boat as I am and are willing to trade with you. P.S. I have Cowboys season tickets and the stadium is awesome. You will enjoy it
