Not sure Hoiberg will be interested. He's a 6' 9" forward who has not taken a 3 in two seasons at SDSU.
With him and Fidler, probably also gotta watch them going to Creighton. Can't think of the last high profile Bellevue West player that chose Nebraska over Creighton going back to Dotzler the elder.
Would definitely want both.

Agree. It's likely why Nebraska was never rated as high as teams with similar W/L records.
We don't lose the games at Rutgers, Minnesota, and to a lesser extent Maryland (game was not close, but Maryland was not a good team), and we're probably on the 6 or 7 line, not facing A&M (though I wouldn't be surprised if A&M was overseeded for the storyline).

Need to play their 3rd quarter today over the entire game on Sunday to get past Oregon State.
-
Gave A&M an open 3 for the win, and they air balled it.

Shelley's worst game ever, still good chance to escape after getting a stop and timeout.

He was learning and struggled the first year and a half. The rest of the time, he was clearly our best offensive lineman and had very few snap issues. People seem to remember his Freshman year more clearly than his senior year.
Can't remember which game it was, but I do remember being very impressed by Cam snapping the ball and then essentially playing tackle on passing plays.

Eh ... everyone always likes to blame the refs.
We gave up 58 points. We played exactly zero defense.
I think the imbalance in how the game was called on both ends (not saying we didn't foul, but 9-3 foul differential with 12 minutes to go) affected how the defense played as they couldn't breath on Shannon driving without a foul being called. Then when one of our guys would drive and get similar contact, nothing.
But, we also have to make shots and get the ball in the basket.

This has to be related to the shenanigans on the women's basketball team, right?
Think other heads would roll before it reached Alberts in this situation (Williams first and foremost)

Not sure I understand what we do sometimes with pitching changes. Pitcher allowed 2 hits to get guys on 2nd and 3rd in the 8th, gets to two outs, then we pull him and his replacement immediately gives up 3 runs through something like 4 hits. What was once a comfortable game, is now getting really tight. 8-6 bottom 8th with 2 outs.
Guy got pulled and his replacement gets the last out.

Looks like I at least thought they'd OK this season.
I think Hoiberg's coaching philosophy has not changed since he's been here. He's still running about the same sets since we hired him. His change, was in how and who he's bringing into the program. Instead of getting guys like Mack, he's getting guys like Griesel, Gary, Bandomel, and Williams. Guys who don't need to have the ball in their hands 100% of the time and also can/will work hard on defense. He's also got guys who can shoot and make shots from distance and around the basket. Talent evaluation is the biggest difference from his first teams on this one.

Down 7 at the half. Win and you get a double bye, lose and your the 5 seed.

While they have been cleared of criminal charges due to how the evidence was gathered, they probably still did break NCAA rules in regards to betting on NCAA games.

Again, Keisei can never get a foul.

I'm kicking myself right now as I wasn't able to listen to the game or watch live scoring. Sounds like it was a heck of a 9th for the good guys. Games like this are huge for a teams confidence as well. Hopefully it continues through the weekend. Would love to see the Huskers come home with 3 in win column again. That said, I didn't get to listen, is Charleston's pitching as good as it must have appeared or were the bats just not working today? Guys swinging at balls or early count popups?
They tagged the starter in the 1st for one run and a couple of hits, then the guy who came on in the 5th was a submarine right hander who's fastball topped out at 75 mph. He was perfect from his relief appearance until the 8th where he walked one of our guys.

Carey got on base against the Pitcher (first base runner since the 4th or 5th inning), but next batter flys out to left center.

3-1 in the bottom of the 7th. Christo is still pitching having only pitched approximately 80 through the first couple outs of the 7th.

Perry gives up a double with 2 outs in the 9th, but then induces a ground ball to 1st to end the game.
Final 10-8 Huskers
'Skers win the series 3-1.

Got out of the 8th with no damage, and then went down in order in the 9th with a strike out and two medium hard liners to 2nd and 3rd.
Bottom of the 9th with Rans Sanders in to close.
Edit: Rans got the first out, and then Childress decided to go with Perry to finish.

'Skers get 2 in the top 8th off of a passed ball and then some nifty base running/taking advantage of the pitcher not paying attention/poor throw home to steal home.
GCU in the bottom 8th has one on 2nd with one out.
Edit:
Runners on 1st and 2nd with two outs after a strike out and a HBP. 'Skers changing pitchers.

Pitching not as good as the first two games, down 6-4 top 6th
-
No further damage in the first. Score is 3-0

We've been shooting like a$$ the entire 2nd half, and I hate that it keeps going back to it, the refs have been absolute a$$ the entire 2nd half also. Riding the wave of the crowd emotion, where you breath on Indiana wrong on defense and they get a foul and two shots or an and 1, then letting absolute murder happen on the other end with no call (like the Keisei travel call, hit in the head when he gets the ball, and then pushed that caused the travel call). Again, they've been played like a$$ the first 10 minutes of the 2nd half, but god, can we have refs that call a consistent game? If it's a foul on one end, it's also a foul on the other end.

God Penn State's home court looks like a high school gym. Are they building a new one and playing in their volleyball arena?
