This team is loving playing with each other and for Fred.

Fred finally has a team that is totally bought into what he wants to do. Plus, Fred has learned more how to use the talent he has.

Its this and the coaching by the assistant coaches. Fred brought the guys who did it at ISU before he left for the NBA, but the college game had passed them by. They got good players, but they didn't have a good team where people knew their roles and played to them. I think the injuries to Gray and Bando are the cause because it put pressure on Keisei to figure things out on the offensive end and allowed Fred to maximize the players he had. I don't think we have the same team if there are no injuries. It'd be great if we could get those guys back now to plug into a rotation that has a better definition on the roles. Blaise is the big man that Nebraska has looked for forever. Walker is good, but he's a better 4 and works better without needing to cover the other teams biggest player.

I hope everyone who can come back, does for next year. Hope that the powers that be can work something out with NIL and international players. I want to watch one more year of Keisei.

That's Nick, owner of Muchachos, with Coleman in the second picture.

Nick is an amazingly good dude. Makes amazing food.

He's working on his latte art. :D

He's supposedly bringing Muchachos to Omaha.

Was it the best one ever? lol

I don't like country so I didn't care for it. I also don't care for the national anthem at sporting events in general

The national anthem should only be played when the national teams are playing. It should not be played before any and all collegiate or professional sports.

  4. God Wisconsin is frustrating in how they play. They'll do little things and keep doing it until they get called on it by the refs (their defense against Keisei at times). Glad the team made adjustments, but man this team can be frustrating. It took them 5 minutes to get rid of the hole they dug. At this time, the team goes where Keisei does. If he's hitting shots and scoring points, then the offense runs effectively. Sam's too passive at times and Walker's a 4 playing as a 5. Keita worked well today because Wisconsin had two "bigs" and Keita could effectively guard his guy alone.

I hope we get one more year of Keisei, for all his faults on the defensive end, he's the most exciting player on the court.

If we keep everybody else in check, their hot shooter will miss some eventually. Solid defensive plan and pretty well executed so far.

Get what you're saying, but he has made 8 threes with only 2 misses the entire game. At some point, you just gotta have a guy on him. At 4, that's probably a good strategy, but at 8, something has to change.

  6. Under 4 first half and Sam is the only one playing on offense outside of the first 4 minutes where Maryland decided to not guard Walker in the paint. Through two games, you gotta ask why Sam wasn't taking either Wilcher or Keisei's minutes earlier in the year.

When you hang your hat on defense, and are so offensively challenged, and you don't even close out on your home court vs. 3's......

It's pretty tough to defend Hoiberg in year 4.....Trev may have to shift some focus and money onto a new basketball coach.

With 8 minutes left in the game, the 2nd half has been like the opposite of the Iowa game. Sometimes the other team can just hit their shots. The thing that's worrying about this performance is the lack of urgency on the defensive glass. Maybe this is where Gary getting hurt is most felt.

I didn't get to watch it either.  Good win.  But, wish we could have beat the worst team in the league by more than this in overtime.

Oh well, take the win and move on.

Would have won in regulation if there wasn't a god awful charge called on Walker. Same exact play that got their big man the 5th foul in Overtime. I'd say they were also throwing up a lot of stuff that was going in, but there were too many lapses on defense that it could simply mean playing on the road is really hard to do in the B1G.

I have a difficult time believing Rhule made a good faith effort to get the best possible WR coach, and it just happened to be this child. Biggest assistant $$ pool in program history. Absolutely baffling hire.

Gotta think it was Mickey's until he created his legal troubles. This guy's the backup and it comes back to what Rhule said, he'd rather work with someone that fits with him over an all star name.

  10. Think there’s a path for Rhules year 2 success to happen next year. As has been mentioned, NIL and the transfer portal makes it easier to flip a roster then when Rhule was at Temple or Baylor. Also, for as poorly as it’s appeared in Lincoln, it’s still in a better position than either of his previous college jobs. Might be an unpopular opinion, but I think a lot of the subpar success the last few years was due to poor coaching over poor players.
