  1. Most penalties, escpecially holding calls, it because you are outmatched and not as good as your opponent. Therefore, you are forced to hold. The teams we are playing now in the Big12 are better. Pelini needs his own kids, remember he is taking over Callahan's recruits.
  2. Asante has been playng good now #33 is another story. Dude, are you serious? Asante is not a good safety. If you haven't noticed we are talking about the play in the game going on right now. So far he has been playing pretty good. Man, I am watching a different game. Asante is nowhere near the play on those long passes they are converting. He should be shifting over to cover some of those. Making tackles is the easy part, making an int or pass breakup is what we need right now. A tackle 30 yds down the field will do nothing but delay the inevitable.

  4. arent we like almost leading the nation in penalties? isnt that a coaching thing to keep the kids from making penalties?
  5. Are you watching this Husker defense? We have no chance.
  6. I hope my score prediction is not correct... TT69 - Neb10
  7. turn out the lights, the party is over... sorry folks.
  8. That could have been worse, if we drive again and score TD, all of the momentum is on our side.
  9. I disagree, in no way did the refs make or break this game for the Huskers or the Hokies. A bad call here and there, maybe, but they didn't win it for them. Too many breakdowns in our secondary and some images of not being able to tackle like back in the Cosgrove days. Not too many, but some were on important plays. On a bright note, the Swift punt return and the team not giving up ever. The Callahan team would have lost this game by 21. Don't you think?
  10. It seems simple to me. We can't blame one late hit on the entire game being lost. They absolutely shredded our defense nearly the entire game. It doesn't matter how good of a defensive coach you have in Pelini, if you don't have the players. They gave it a great effort down the stretch, just too many mental mistakes early in this game.
  11. I went ahead and ordered this DVD. It is a must have in anyone's Nebraska collection! I also TIVO'd the replay of the game on ESPNU but having the DVD with the radio broadcast should be much better. Also, I am assuming all of the commercials have been edited out? GO BIG RED!
  12. I would place my vote for the linebacking core. It seemed at times we had to depend on the defense to carry us through some of our wins. It is a great feeling knowing that we will be getting all of these guys back next year. They made some great comments on ESPN about McKeon being only a sophomore and to watch out for him in the future. He will be a force to be reckoned with. He reminds of a Ohio St linebacker. They always seem to have those hard-nosed linebackers. McKeon being fast doesn't hurt either! GO BIG RED! I am going to San Antonio next week so I will definitely stop by and visit the Alamo for the first time! Remember the Alamo!!
  13. Is this game recorded from the ESPN HD channel? What is the video quality on this? I have TIVO and forgot to record the game when it was broadcast on ESPN HD. I recorded the replay on ESPNU but the quality was not in HD. Thanks in advance for any response and am looking forward to ordering the DVD.
  14. Thanks for the information, I will get back to you as soon as I talk to my brother. -nvhusker
  15. My brother and I are traveling back to the heartland to see the Nebraska vs. Maine game on Sept. 3rd. We do not have tickets. If anyone has two tickets that are together and you need to sell, please let me know. I live in Nevada and my brother lives in Montana and we have already purchased our plane tickets and hotel reservations. But, no tickets to the game. Thanks in advance for any response.
