Took a gym at a Target in Omaha. Lasted for 45 seconds.
And it looks Iike I need to drive down to Papillion to train. Damn, Gina.

I'll trade you my Pidgey for your Jolteon. Cdog
Done; my goal of having every Pidgey will be realized.

The developers announced at Comic-Con today that a trading update is just around the block, as well as Pokemon centers.

Swing and a miss by the staff, IMO. Be interested to see if they keep pursuing him.
Can't really call it a swing and a miss if the coaching staff never even offered, can you?
Should it be "caught looking" then?
We were caught looking, just like every other P5 school not named Minnesota.
I wish him luck with the Gophs 11 games a year.
And that makes it acceptable?
Kitrell is worth an offer to Nebraska. I love what the staff is doing on the coasts with the skill positions, but they can look to the interior to build up their O and D lines, especially with the apparent young depth at each.

Not sure how this fits in to this convo. But when I was playing peewee league ball in Olathe, Kansas we used to host teams from all over the Midwest sometimes. Now me being 20, this isn't super old or anything. However, I remember we used to play teams from Omaha & Lincoln, And to be fairly honest, I didn't realize and I don't mean to offend you all, but how bad some of those teams are. We used to straight crush some of those kids. I'm still very confident even to this day, you could take the Kansas winners from 4A, 5A, and 6A and play the title winners from Nebraska and it wouldn't even be close. This is not in any way a knock on the guys we're looking at/offered, but if the best players currently in the state are from Aurora, Beatrice, Ashland-Greenwood and Gretna, that's not speaking very highly of Class A ball in the state.
Last year the Huskers offered three in-state guys and only one of them played Class A.
I don't know for sure, but I would guess that Gretna has to be knocking on the door for Class A just due to the housing boom out there.
What I heard from a teacher out there is that they don't have room to take on many more students. They would have to add more space and remodel or else build another school.
I would LOVE to see Lincoln and Omaha open more schools to get the (NSAA enrollment) numbers down to about 1000 per. It spreads out talent but it helps regulate the Class B disparage. Gretna/Columbus should never be playing Holdrege or Adams Central.
Which leads me to this. What has happened to the quality class A Nebraska football? Surely talent doesn't just disappear like that?
No offense taken. People from McCook might take offense because they think they are God's gift to humanity.
Nebraska High school football just isn't very good. Some may argue that opening more schools hurts developing talent because the best players can't always play at the same schools. I'm not really concerned with developing D1 talent as much as I'm concerned with building the man, preparing him for life, and putting him in the best position to succeed. Most of the time, teaching D1 technique isn't going to work with 95% or more of the student base in Nebraska. 99.99999% of the athletes in Nebraska end up finishing their careers in HS.
Unless your from McCook, then you just chose to hang it up even though you got "multiple offers and looks". Besides, playing at McCook is a far superior fan atmosphere than playing anywhere in Nebraska except at Lincoln.
Yikes. Being from Western Nebraska, I like to rag on McCook as much as the next sane man, but what did the Bison do to you? Can you point on the doll where they touched you?

I just don't feel like Nebraska fits culturally with many Big Ten programs.
I think Nebraska fits in better with fans/schools in Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois and Minnesota than it does with the same in Missouri, Texas and Colorado.
I love the Big Ten. The Big XII was cool and all, but Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas were the only blue blood programs and everyone else was more often than not an absolute doormat. The B1G, in addition to the biggest fanbases, the biggest and most iconic stadiums, and the prestige, has Ohio State, Michigan, Nebraska and Penn State as the huge fish, and Wisconsin and Michigan State are both two really solid programs. The competitiveness is a blast.
Playing in crazy close games against Wisconsin, Michigan, MSU and PSU is so much more enjoyable to me than playing in shootouts or blowouts against Kansas, Kansas State and Oklahoma State (or whatever teams).
Let's not let those Big 8 memories cloud our reality. The Huskers would have no easier road in the Big 12 than they do right now in the Big 10.
Baylor and TCU are the powerhouses these days, not Nebraska. Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and West Virginia have the kind of offenses that always give Nebraska fits. Kansas State is our peer, not our doormat. Iowa State is roughly our Northwestern. Oklahoma is back to perennial power status, and Texas had a way of beating us even when they sucked.
I think we would blow out Kansas. But that's the only gimme.
Baylor and TCU are flashes in the pan.
I'm not saying that the B1G is all great and the Big XII is all garbage, but I get way more enjoyment out of battling against teams in the top 10 in all time wins, or in stadiums with 100,000+ people, or against programs that we don't lead the all-time series 50-7 against, stuff like that. Even if they're bad, as a fan and a spectator I'd prefer a cold November battle that we lose to Wisconsin/MSU/OSU/UM than a 3 touchdown win against West Virginia or Texas Tech. I couldn't, at all, find myself to care for those teams.
Baylor, maybe, especially with the scandal going on there. TCU though? They've been solid-to-great for almost 15 years now. They had that clunker of a season a couple years go when they were adjusting to the Big 12, but Patterson is a fantastic coach, and has built that into a solid program.

I had a CP 697 Blastoise pop up out of nowhere right in the middle of the walkway as I was going to dinner last night. About crapped myself.
Mother of God.....

Looks the same as pretty much ever other WWII-era FPS out there, bruh.

Disproven. Confirmed on reddit that naming your Evee either Sparky, Rainer, or Pyro will force evolve into Jolteon, Vaporeon, or Flareon, respectively.
Edit: they seem to think it may only be a one time thing for each type so take it for what you will.
Is this serious? I've evolved 2 Eevee and gotten a Flareon and Vaporeon. I'll try naming my third (I am FLUSH in Eevee at my house) Sparky and see what happens.

If Dad is on board with him being out here, and we can get the girlfriend interested in the track program, that may be the best shot at getting him. I still think he's going to UCLA, but we have a very attractive situation for him here.

I still want something like this. It's a pretty terrible photoshop job -- but a pearl tri coat white helmet w/ grey facemask and somewhat chrome decals. Then 1971 style varsity stripes and clean white pants. Throw in some black in there for good measure -- essentially do what Ohio State did for a few years -- modernize a classic look.
Nailed it.
-
I've always kind of wanted to see another throwback uniform; maybe go with an early 70's vibe; white helmet with a grey facemask and numbers on the sides, with stripes going up and down the shoulders, as opposed to on the sides.

I really hope Westy gets over the 1k mark this year; he deserves it.
-
I must be in the minority; I've enjoyed pretty much everything adidas has put out for the teams. The Yo Noid! jerseys were pretty fugly, and those orange-ish ones from a couple years ago weren't all that hot, but black ones from 2013 and last year were all sorts of awesome. That, and I've found that their apparel and clothing fits better and lasts longer than what Nike and UA put out.
Really though, this argument was made null and void by the awesome cream basketball uniforms from last year.
-
OMG....NOT THE DREADED TIRE TREAD ISSUE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh....how in the world will we ever live another day because there is a tire tread on the jersey (that you can't see from the stands or on TV).
Dude our o line wear jerseys that stick to their skin.. it looks gross having a three hundred lb man wearing a shirt that is 5 sizes to small... just saying
.....that's by design, dude.

If I didn't already own 90% of these games in multiple formats, I'd be on this like white on rice.

Yea, there's definitely smoke to him staying in Cali.

The Eevee evolutions are plentiful, too. Almost every gym around me has at least 1 at it.
I need to get a bit stronger before taking gyms on. Nothing but Pidgeys and Ratatta's around me (although I've got a pretty nice Pidgeot from it).

Man, I love it when an adult tries to tell another adult how to spend their time.

If anyone gets near my residence playing this will get a wake up call to what real life is.
Yea, you're probably hoarding all the good ones.

I'm the only one in my office not interested, apparently. I'm still trying to catch all 700+ in the 3DS games :|
I walked more yesterday playing this game than Wichita State against the Huskers earlier this year

Just be careful if you've got kids playing it; apparently a group of older teens in Missouri (shocking, I know) were using the app to go to popular places and rob people looking for Pokemon.

He's going to OSU, IMO. However, we've got more than a great shot with Lewis and Calvin. Daron Davis is a good backup, too.
