  1. Sometimes it was hard to tell if Purdue really struggled, or if Nebraska just excelled. Probably a little of both. I wouldn't put much stock into this as far as votes, but no doubt NU needed the win, and they did it big.
  2. TP is a machine. I think the bigger thing is how good the defense has been, it's improving every week. Congrats to Coach Miles and the team (and the fans that are making the Vault a terrible place for opponents to try to win at).
  3. Gawd Ray just stop shooting. Or call time-out and take yourself out of the game.
  4. Same here. The only consolation is that maybe he knows he could be a top 10 pick if he waits a year?
  5. I know it's still this year...but... If this team returns Petteway next year, and we have Parker, Rivers, Hawkins, Shields, Pitchford, Webster and Fuller next year?
  6. When am I going to stop wondering why Petteway takes the shots he does? #$
  7. No one gets to talk crap on Pelts!!!!! Peltz knows what's up though, scorers don't play defense Is your real name Carmelo Anthony?
  8. This is the basketball thread. Pitchford. Pritchard is on the baseball team Haha I didn't pick up on that when I replied.
  9. Not to mention the coach. And a solid effort by the fans.
  10. Next year could be amazing...if we get a big and Petteway returns.
  11. This is just wrong. Perlman is an excellent chancellor and has been great for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I would say that even if we had lost every football game since he had been here. We try and talk about what's important for the football team and sportsmanship, graduation rates, and staying out of trouble are always listed. The money the football team makes is a drop in the hat compared to the endowment and the federal research dollars (not to mention the tuition payments) that the university and Perlman deal with and manage. UNL is a premier land-grand university that just happens to have a football team. I am proud to have attended UNL. I got to see a lot of great football games, but more importantly, I received a world-class education. Hi Harvey I was thinking the same thing.
  12. Who would've thought that NU would be an inch, one point away from being undefeated at home in late February? We have a great coach, lots of up and coming talent that are learning to play some good ball, but you definitely cannot undersell the new arena and the fans (which I doubt anyone is doing). Obviously it is hypothetical, but I bet coach Miles himself would tell you that if PBA was only half-filled this season, Nebraska wouldn't be 12-1 at home. Nebraska b-ball fans have hoped, wanted, and wished for a good coach in a good venue. Miles has hoped, wanted, and wished for a strong fan base. I think both got their wish. I hope it never changes. GBR Edit: Good OP.
  13. When is the last time Nebraska has spoiled anyone's season? They spoiled mine last season. Seriously, 3rd place in the Big Ten west is the very definition of mediocrity. It's amazing the amount of people shrugging their shoulders and saying this is somehow ok because Mystery Coach X could go 5-7 just like Callahan did once. Well, in this conference, 5-7 is just about an impossibility without nuclear immolation. I will never understand the refusal to expect more than #9wins and mental mistakes that take two hands to count against any team with a pulse from Nebraska football or this coaching staff. Maybe I should've been more clear. I was referring to opponents' teams that had something to play for. Not fans that had their dreams crushed by college students not living up to expectations.
