  1. Don't know if anyone caught the match tonight but Texas and Penn St went down to the wire in the 5th and final set. Three national championships in a row the Nittany Lions. Hodge played great (21 kills) for Penn St. but to me the standout was Alyssa D'Errico who had a personal record 22 digs some of which were flat out amazing.

    Incredible volleyball game tonight.

  2. Even though he is a Freshman I just hope Green's passing this year isn't an indication of things to come. He had the nice touchdown throw against Baylor but besides that just not very impressive throwing the ball. He came in with a lot of hype. I'm not sold on him yet. I guess we'll find out.

I'd like to see what Martinez brings to the table but just like everyone else he is a big question mark too. It's going to be real interesting to see who our quarterback is next year to say the very least.

  3. I definitely wouldn't be running the option.

That's all well and good, but here in the real world we ran the option and Eric Crouch won the Heisman Trophy. If he isn't your QB than I am going to have trouble taking anything you say seriously, ever.

    PFFT...

You and many people have a love affair with Eric Crouch. If that's your thing great. We all have different opinions.

I would not be running the option offense and having said that Eric Crouch would NOT be my quarterback. By a long shot.

Personally I would have taken a win over Miami in the 2001 National championship game over a run happy/heisman winning quarterback any day of the week.

    To each his own.

  4. Fun idea for a thread. :)

    I would put...

    Ndamukong Suh - Fullback

    Jared Crick - Center

    Will Compton - Tight End

    Prince Amukamara - WR

    Eric Hagg - Slot Receiver

    Pierre Allen - Left Tackle

    Larry Asante - Option QB

    Alfonzo Dennard - TE

I like your list. I thought about Hagg also somewhere on offense.

Whoever said 'Z. Lee - Waterboy' hit the nail on the head! Good stuff.

    DE Kyle Vanden Bosch

    DE Adam Carriker

  6. Suh=overrated

Those Lott guys are some smart cookies.

    So edgy and controversial.

Meanwhile all of the voters deemed him worthy enough (he should have won the dang thing) to get invited to the Downtown Athletic Club for a little thing called the Heisman trophy presentation.

    Suh rules your face.

  7. Dejon Gomes alone should be enough to convince that JUCOs can be very good. That guy is sick as hell. He comes up with clutch plays all the time, and that Texas pick he had was extremely badass.

Dejon Gomes and Eric Hagg were both given 3 stars by rivals. I'd say they were/are worth 5 stars the way they played this year and how clutch both of them were. Hagg's stick against OU this year when they went for it on fourth down was just plain sick.

To a degree I think you can maybe get an idea of someone based off of their 'ranking' or how many stars they may have but what those rankings cannot predict is how a player will develop.
