I apree with rawhide, you know when you meet a mid-westener. Down here in Florida it seem most are from New England (wich are great people in their own respect) but mid-westeners just have that something about them.

I work in a Rehab facility in Rockledge FLorida. I work with mostly the elderly as a Rec. Therapist and I love to whistle the Husker song to them during an activity I m doing with them. One lady said that was the a nice tune and she started to hum the tune and now is a husker fan. She never really liked sports until I started telling her about Husker football and and now she always asks me when the game is going to start. I asked her if she would like a husker hat and she said yes. So when on Sept 3rd she is going to get a great gift from me.

I don't know how many members live out of state, but I tell you I love wearing my husker stuff in FL, I get a lot of looks and many come up and ask about the team. Mostly everone I encounter are nice, however some have made comments as "Nebraska sucks" and "N stand for knowlege" Also good way to meet husker fans that come up to you and say hi. Alway love to meet a Nebraskan. Any stories or experinces from members living out of state?????

I think SP wants a coach that is willing to stay long and I think SP see some light at the end of the tunnle for Callahan and NU. I don't think Callahan will be booted until later 5 or 6 yrs if NU doesnt produce. NU has to wait wich is very hard for fans and also myself but I think majority of fans see good things happening and I don't think its just false fantisy. B)

I have been jumping to conclusions and about what I felt of the new feild, I have to say that it looks tremendously awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I kind of agree with you that a lot of money is spent on some questionable things, however I beleive that there are some things that NASA does will benefit us maby not right away right now but will benefit us in the future. If NASA is cut it would cause many lost jobs. But I do agree somewhat that the government needs to spend money better. Look how much money was wasted for the Clinton Monica scandal. What people do behind own doors is there own business, doesnt mean I agree with it but govment no right to use my tax money on something for a persons affair or investigating someones rocky marriage President or no president. Sorry I get kind of opinionated when it comes to politics. Im a middle ground left and righ with strong views, the ability to express our views makes this the best county to live in.

Put a Big Red Combine in the middle of the feild with skulls all over it representing blackshirts, and for the front of the combine instead of having a corn picker have large jaws engulfing the opponents mascot that day. Each week then change that part of it somehow. On the back of the combine have the combine spit out the mascot as a combine does with leftovers from the crop its picking.
