All I know is is that the US team is undefeated and stuck it right up Canada's a$$ on their home ice last Sunday. I could care less what they did vs. USSR-one team showed up and one didn't. problem is the American team didn't show up vs Canada our goalie Marty B just had one of those bad games....we out chanced you and doubled you in Shots your delusional if you don't agree you had no business winning. I mean lets get serious here Canada did beat you in the World Baseball classic a few years ago when it was in Arizona but am i going to sit here and brag about that win? no because it was a fluke and it was proven in last years WBC when you kicked our ass.

has anyone else noticed in the past two years the steady improvement of the Duke football program? sure they finished 5-7 but they did play some close games that they almost could have won. Virginia Tech 34-26L, North Carolina 19-6L, Wake Forest 45-35L. losing Thadeus Lewis will hurt but i really do think David Cutcliffe has this team going in the right direction.

Utah has the most obnoctious fans ive ever come across....when i was in Vegas to watch them play UNLV i had some Utah fan try to get me to buy him a beer every time Utah scored a TD. Almost as if he thought i actually felt UNLV had a hope in hell at beating them. Very loud and in your face fan base. I go to school with a bunch of Mormons and people from Utah. They always have that "holier than thou" attitude about them. One kid actually had the ignorance to make the claim that Utah is a more historied program than Nebraska and Nebraska wouldnt have a chance against Utah this year. He then proceeded to tell me that Utah's last four recruiting classes have all been much better than NU's. Once he started to discuss recruiting he was completely dead in the water. Oh. He also said that the Big 12 was the lesser conference than the Mountain West. I wish I made that all up, but it is 100% true. that sounds very familiar to my friends who always claim that the Toronto Blue Jays can compete with the New York Yankees haha...

that would be interesting bowl game, Utah smashed Cal, BYU smashed Oregon State, and TCU lost a heartbracker vs Boise State....i think the MWC is tired of beating up on the Pac10 let them play with the big boys from the big 12!

Just out of curiosity when it comes to recruiting how is the instate talent in nebraska?? do you guys mostly get players from texas and surrounding states? or is it mostly in house? What are the High School power houses in nebraska? if i was looking to follow nebraska high school football closely Most are from Texas and California. The rest come from around the country. We usually get 1 or 2 instate scholarship guys a year. The walk-on program takes care of the rest of them. As far as powerhouses that produce in-state talent....there are none (correct me if wrong). Maybe someone else on the board could elaborate more on how it was in the old'n days. I think that back then we got alot more in-state guys than we do now. as far as our players, you also need to Google 'Nebraska Walk-on Program', there's boatloads about it - even a recent movie made by NET, our public television/production enterprise... having a hard time finding this video..tried searching on google but couldnt find it
