  1. Mmmm that looks good. I've been on a peanut butter craving the last couple of days. I made a peanut butter chocolate chip cake last night. Didn't turn out too bad. I'll have to try this.
  2. Just to play devils advocate, Glenns YPC could be deflated because he is labled (and was used) as a "short down back." Many of his carries were against 8 or 9 guys in the box and/or with a maximum of 1 or 2 yards possible.
  3. You forgot the key word EXECUTE Other forms: Execution, Executed, Executing "We just didn't execute."
  4. Wow, I never realized that Ganz only needed 2 td's to equal SK's season long output. That's impressive.
  5. I hope BC ran a clean program recruiting wise, but many scandals don't surface until a couple of years after the fact. I question how BC is able to get the top ***** recruits in. Maybe he is an excellent recruiter. I just want to wait a few years before giving BC the clean program title.
  6. Only 2 left. $60.00 a piece. Email or PM if interested bbard6932@hotmail.com
  7. Hey I failed Financial Mgmt as it pertains to future values, present values, and other worthless values as you would need them in a business. Now my investment class I was very very good in. I have a site called investopedia.com where you can play and investment game and it helps you figure out if you really can read about things and then invest based on those things. Check it out and let me know. It gives you $100,000 in virtual money to play with. Fidelity really is the best do it yourself site because you can check out how the stocks have done and read up on alot of things. I've looked into doing it myself as well. aahh the classic present value, future value, tvm, annuities. A tough, but informative class.
  8. Located in the NU section. Nov 23 @ 10:00 am Section 2 Row 17. PM me if interested.
  9. Exactly, keep playing hard, but with different personnel. The starters were in for about half the 4th quarter, and Lucky was brought back in to score a td. If the second and third teams put up a hundred on the opponents, then so be it, but you don't have to play your starters after being up by 35 or 40 points late in the game.
  10. I completely agree with Coach Prince here. The whole concept of "running up the score" should be abolished in football. If you put on pads and cleats you should expect to stop the guy in front of you. If you can't, they score. That's how the game is played. I have no sympathy for anyone crying about their opponent scoring on them, whether it be NU against KSU or KU against NU. I agree w/ prince in a way, but BC was out of line in a couple of areas. Continually throwing the ball late in the 3rd quarter and nearly halfway through the 4th. Don't we have a running game to practice on. Last I checked it hasn't been stellar. Ganz played way too long. Get Davis a shot, one hit and Ganz could be out too. Putting Lucky back in during the 4th quarter to score the td. Let the young guys try to score, sit the starters and save them for the next game. It was a great win, and we finally came out of our shell, but lets not be stupid about it and get someone hurt unnecessarily hurt. But I love to see us kick the SH!T out of KSU
  11. Wow, still sticking up for Keller, despite the fact that Joe had a good game. This is not surprising. Callahan's full extent for excepting any blame for the crappy season has never been anything more than - "its our job to prepare and ready the players". When we came out flat, he said that was his fault, but he has never admitted that he might have made a bad choice. Play calling bad? Nope. Play calling is what it is as dictated by the defense giving up points. Picked the wrong starter? Nope. Things that went wrong were not Sam's fault. We didn't win? Not the offenses fault, the defense sucked. Callahan has gone into his full on sales mode. "I am an offensive genius and our problems this year are not due to the offense". Except the numbers 6, 14, and 14. Our Offensive outburst to start our 5 game losing skid. It seems like his O is feast or famine. When it's going well, 35+ points per game, but when it's not going well, he is unable to make adjustments, and put some points on the board.
  12. Wow, still sticking up for Keller, despite the fact that Joe had a good game.
  13. You said for the rest of the regular season right? So if we get smoked by CU I can come back and call him a few choice words, especially if TO hasn't canned him yet.
  14. LJS Tom Osborne made a significant clarification Tuesday. In previous public statements, Nebraska’s interim athletic director said he will evaluate Husker football coach Bill Callahan and his staff “at the end of the season.” Osborne means the end of the regular season as opposed to the bowl season, Randy York, NU associate athletic director for communications, said Tuesday. Making that distinction became an issue Saturday when Nebraska ended a five-game losing streak with a 73-31 home win against Kansas State. The Huskers improved their record to 5-6, meaning a victory Nov. 23 at Colorado (also 5-6) would send the Big Red to a bowl game for the 38th time in the last 39 years. The Colorado game ends Nebraska’s regular season. If the Huskers were to play in a bowl game, it wouldn’t occur until late December. For the past several weeks, there has been constant speculation about Callahan’s future at Nebraska. There also has been speculation about whether Nebraska would accept a bowl invitation if one is extended. Callahan on Monday deferred that question to “the higher-ups” in the Husker athletic department. “If we beat Colorado, and therefore become bowl eligible, Coach Osborne thinks it would be great to go to a bowl game,” York said Tuesday. “The way he explained it to me is, if our players want to go, he would be delighted for them to get that opportunity.“ Nebraska’s 35-year bowl streak ended in 2004 — Callahan’s first season at NU — when the Huskers finished 5-6. Likely bowl destinations, should Nebraska qualify, would be the Insight Bowl in Phoenix, the Independence Bowl in Shreveport, La., and the Texas Bowl in Houston.
  15. Yeah. I had to think long and hard about agreeing with freemason. Hey, why ya'll picking on me? LOL No, I just honestly believe that Callahan is a smart guy. I believe that the Huskers will stand a better chance if stability returns to the program. Face it . . . he has proven that he is a fine recruiter. Now he has to learn about the value of walkons in college football, as well as team leadership . . . and, of course, how to talk to the press. But I think he is a very smart guy, he knows his x's and o's, that he can learn from his mistakes, and that he can recruit what he needs. I think he can build a championship team over less time than Osborne took. And as for Pellini . . . at A&M, they are chuckling about NU fans' fixation for him. They have been saying that they are more than willing to let NU "make that mistake." For what it's worth. I think BC knows his x's & o's too. But I also think he is a snake oil salesman, that will continually say what the people want to hear. But when it comes to proving it on the field he can't. He doesn't have the ability to adapt it seems. I don't think he has great leadership skills, or this team wouldn't have folded after the usc game.
  16. Wasn't Ruud predicted to be All Big XII this year?
  17. Of course there is no proof, That is like trying to prove what is at Area 51. Cally has his boys, and they will play. His boys may have better talent than some of the other choices, but when things aren't going well, it is time for a change, a spark, something different. BC risked getting keller hurt during the latter part of 3 blowout losses, instead of getting the backup some reps, just in case SK went down. SK did go down, and fortunately for us our back up is just as productive, if not more productive than the starter.
  18. This treatment comes with the territory. It has been that way for years, and will continue to be that way for years. Being the son of a coach I experienced it growing up. You learn to take things in stride, and try to ignore them. When you're up you're the greatest, when you're down, you suck.
  19. The $50 million dollar upgrades in facilities. Winning tradition. History of putting players in the league. Fan support. A legend as AD. Playing infront of sellouts virtually every game. There are some pros.
  20. Looks like the coaches are going to stay around the state and get in-state talent. LJS Nebraska coaches will take a different approach to recruiting during the bye week that follows Saturday’s game against Kansas State. In years past, seven assistant coaches would go all over the country during an off week. Not now. The coaches will spend that time recruiting only within Nebraska. “They’ll go out in-state Monday and Tuesday and they’ll blanket the state,” Husker coach Bill Callahan said Thursday. “I think we’ll hit somewhere between 68 and 69 schools.” (I'd say they hit 68.34 schools) The Huskers will bring in no recruits for official visits to Saturday’s game. With the future of the coaching staff uncertain, the move to not go too far for recruits right now isn’t shocking. As Callahan has noted, it’s difficult for coaches to make promises to players when the staff has been given no promises as to its future. What will coaches’ messages be to the in-state players? “We’re just looking for players. We’re looking for anybody that thinks they can contribute to the program,” Callahan said. “Any and all walk-ons are certainly welcome, so I think that’s the message that’s out there.” Change in style huh. To me it sound like they have given up and don't want to travel too far or put out too much effort, while still look like they are making an effort. I guess the majority of NE kids will stay committed to NU no matter who the coach is.
  21. I just called the NU ticket office today and they said a limited number of tickets were still available for the KSU and CU games. If tickets are still available for the KSU game, does that mean it is sold out???
