Every single Alabama fan I've ever met or heard from on the internet thinks he's the weakest part of Saban's staff and can't wait to get rid of him. Most say it with a lot of conviction. Meh.

Alabama fans are spoiled rotten. Look how we are after our success in the 90s, fricken 30 years ago. We still think we are elite. Bama fans just need something to complain about. Bob would be a fine choice. If we don’t get him, someone else will, and I bet he is successful there. Not saying he’s my first choice, but I’m definitely not going to go based on bama fans, they live in a different reality.

Times are changing just like Kansas football sucking generation after generation.

No, they aren’t. Kansas will always be a bball school. Mangino was successful for a couple years too, did it change the focus? They won’t invest in football. N

I mean ... Hartzog was getting torched in the first half.

But, he still kept playing and closed out the game. That is the point, there needs to be a mental shift away from losing. He’s a freshman, he’s going to make mistakesZ he needs to learn how to win, they all do.

Unlikely the Bengals have as successful as a season as last year.

Back up the brink truck for Zac Taylor.

I’d be interested, but that is less likely than urban, imo. No way he leaves the nfl, with a very young promising qb for a college job.

Urban wouldn’t be able to go out an recruit kids unless he was officially named head coach, which wouldn’t happen until the end of the season.

They could get the deal done now, and it would be “known” he is not under contract is my point. He could hit the recruiting trail in November and have his coaching hires in mid. It would be a huge advantage

Coaching hires are always a risk. Alabama had Bear Bryant, then didn’t do squat for 15 years, and then won a natty with Gene Stallings (who was a failed NFL coach). Then after Stallings left Bama went thru multiple coaches before landing Saban (another failed NFL coach). It’s not an exact science, but thinking about a new coach is exciting.

    No it wouldn’t.

You don’t think that if it was known tomorrow that urban was our coach next year,  it would make a difference in our recruiting? I disagree.

See Florida has been in a constant state of desperation since Urby stepped down. I don't think we can pin any Florida knee jerk reaction on the coach.

He was 34-15 at Florida.  They fired him because they hated his PR and they felt they should win more games.

I think the difference is right now Nebraska just needs to win some games.  Not saying Mullen is the guy...just pointing out his record is stable just like alot of other coaches being thrown

A Stoops or Meyer isn’t going to come in midway thru the season, so this season is going to finish with an interim head coach. Yes, this is most likely a lost season, but firing Frost could give the team a new voice to make the best of this season.

I know they are not coming midsession, but we could know they are coming next year. That would be a huge difference in recruiting
