  1. how was that the staff's fault. At some point Armstrong has to look at where he's throwing and say "oh there's a dude in the throwing lane, I better not throw it there" The staff has to know the limitations of the players. TA has had this tendency for a long time. The gameplan should limit TA's opportunities to hurt us with bad decisions. When you need to take risks, like last week, you do so. When you don't need to, like being up 3 scores on a team with 30 yards, you need to realize who your QB is. Tommy has to make better decisions, but coaches have to realize the strengths and weaknesses of their personnel.
  2. Up 3 scores. They can't move the ball. They're struggling against your running game. You have a great punter in case things go wrong. PlaycallComputer2.9 says to start heaving.
  3. North Carolina is sending a message the past several weeks. Seems they may feel disrespected.
  4. They're tricky little dust devils. Oklahoma State pulled a Houdini last week, though. They were still out gained by over 200 yards, and outplayed for much of the game. But turnovers have a way of mucking things up. Can't have a 4 turnover deficit against someone with relative talent to you and expect to win.
  5. When an opponent is this bad, they've given up and your guys get aggressive like this, you as a coach have to know they're going to get sloppy and careless. It may be fun to throw bombs in a game like this, but it's unneeded, and dangerous. You as a coach have to reign them in. How can you reign him in when he knows that there is nothing behind him and he is going to get to play no matter what he does? He want throw it much if you call 22 ISO.

  7. Seriously--how many games would we have won if Riley had put a dog shock collar on Langsdorf when he started calling passing plays when he should have been running the ball...? Especially against a team like this that can't defend the run or move it much themselves. Passes are far more turnover prone. Its unneeded risk given the opponent and score.
  8. Thats the biggest "Culture" that needs to change. Get nasty and force them to tap out. They tapped out before kickoff.
  9. Little early to be calling this one. This team has a losing record boys for a bunch of reasons. Not ready to declare us unbeatable. We get up by 42-0, then we can start to relax. Play lots of guys. We're gonna have more competition during our bye week.
  10. Pull anyone of importance at half. The only thing of significance this game will have are injuries.
  11. Exactly, let Jano lead Cross over and over, and wear these guys out. Lets have the entire Rutgers D tapping their helmets after every play We may as well start practicing for Iowa.
  12. We're gonna enjoy today, but Rutgers already packed up their tent.
  13. Their lack of yardage recently is due to more than good defenses. We smell the blood in the water.
  14. Um...have you seen our record lately? We're living in a glass house right now... Rutgers is more than just a bad team. That athletic admin is a mess right now.
  15. Agree. Running opens the pass. Hopefully see a PA off that same play later. Passing is for teams better than Rutgers
  16. It will be. Rutgers contribution just won't be very much.Felt that way about Illinois and Purdue games. At this point there isn't any outcome that would surprise me.But I didn't have lucky underwear on during those games.
