  1. that's great. this guy maybe the best d-tackle in the country. he has said he will visit during the summer, now whether that is at the camp or just an unofficial. Gerrand Johnson, another DT from louisiana WILL be here June 10th and 11th, so he has said.
  2. He will be a 4 by the end of the season, and probably will initially be a 4 on rivals.

agreed, and the way Bo and this staff recruit these kids (no pressure, family oriented) I think Nebraska can atleast get a visit from Wayne and his mother.
  4. Mickey Johnson, DT from Lousiana

  6. Didnt make it for the spring game, will probably take an official visit here, could see him committing to nebraska by the mid point of the season.
  7. CHRISTIAN SUNTRUP, QB, 6-3, 205, 4.7, ST. LOUIS (CHAMINADE), MISSOURI Five Schools Make The Cut “I’ve got it narrowed down to five to eight schools right now. Nebraska, Boston College, Kansas, Minnesota and Stanford those five are definitely up there. Then I’m taking strong interest in Illinois, Wisconsin and Boise State. I’ve been looking at depth charts, the style of offense and see where I can fit in with these programs.” Suntrup said Fun Times At NU “I like Nebraska a lot,” Suntrup said. “I went to their spring game and there was about 70,000 plus fans which I’ve never seen anything like it. The (NU) coaching staff spent a lot of time with me; I met some of the recruits, and some of the players. I met Mike McNeil the tight end from Kirkwood nearby where I live.” Suntrup said “Pick A Passer” “Nebraska said they really liked me and there was no rush. They wanted to pick a passer for my class I’m their number one choice from what they told me. I’m more of a drop back I can do some things. I can run around a little but I definitely drop back more-pro style.” Suntrup said Husker’s To Sign Two QB’s, A Factor? “Not as much because I’ve been to a lot of places and heard a lot of different of things. Bottom line where you go there will be competition you have to compete for your spot no matter what. So I think if the schools are interested in me and I’m interested in them that’s the main thing.” Suntrup said Really Like Boston College “Boston College was awesome it was in a big city six miles from the city (Boston) which was really cool. Boston College gave me the best treatment that I’ve ever been; they handed down a lot of respect.” Suntrup said “Boston College said I’m the guy they are looking for. I talked with Coach Gary Tranquill the offensive coordinator and Coach Frank Spaziani both told me they wanted me.” Suntrup said Jayhawks A Longshot “I went to Kansas for Junior Day’s I got to see that Kansas vs Iowa State basketball game which was pretty neat. I’ve never seen a basketball game like that before. It was crazy I liked it a lot.” Suntrup said “I have some family my dad and grandpa who played football at Missouri, playing Kansas. During the recruiting process I’ve kind of grown to like them (Kansas) and could see myself going to University of Kansas.” Suntrup said “I’ve haven’t been to Minnesota but I plan on going there once school is out. They have a new stadium I can’t wait to see that and weight room.” Suntrup said “The coaches (Minnesota) came by the school a couple of occasions Coach Kevin Cosgrove the defensive coordinator and Jeff Horton. I talked to Coach Brewster on the phone and told me they run the same offense that we run at my high school.” Suntrup said “I went up there (Wisconsin) for a one day practice with Coach (Paul) Chryst and Coach (Dave) Doeren and I really liked it. They were really nice people both are coming down to my school this month.” Suntrup said Likes Iowa-No Offer “Iowa hasn’t offered me but that’s another school that’s been staying contact with. I think the Iowa coaches are great, very honest straight forward. I think they (Iowa) are on a program on the rise and academics is very good.” Suntrup said “I like Coach Frentz he’s been there over 11 years or so and that staff has been with him. I think they do a really good job and it shows.” Suntrup said “Overall it (Iowa City) was a nice college town. I thought the facilities were great, but the big thing that I’ve noticed through all of this recruiting, it comes down to the coaches and the people surrounded. All schools have nice facilities you have to look at who you are really going to be with.” Suntrup said “I’m looking at academics that’s really important, a good college and surround you with good people, coaches and players.” Suntrup said from huskerjournal.com
  8. George Atkinson would be nice, but we have about 5% chance on that one I suspect.
  9. holy mother of god, @1:36 now that was some closing speed, running downhill and making a very nice open field tackle.
  10. Films are very impressive, cant wait to see this kid as our PESO back of the future.
  11. Notre Dame and Nebraska lead. Notre Dame!???!! This kids a Dual Threat with 4.5 speed... why Notre Dame? They always take Pro-Style NFL system passers... I'm sure this kid can pass but if he can run too why settle for a system that uses half his talents instead of all of them? new coach, new offense. didn't kelly have a mobile QB last year at cincinnati? Zach Collaros has some good speed, but Tony Pike was about as mobile as a tree. I'm pretty sure Sam Keller could have beat him in a race, and thats sayin something.
  12. Thnxs for th update SkerChicago! Another day, another offer to a big time florida prospect.
  13. The June camp could be huge, wiht Josh "Big Time" Turner, Mickey Johnson, Jordan Phillips and whoever else decides to come.
  14. Heres the thread from orangebloods about Malcolm Brown favoring the Tide. http://texas.rivals.com/showmsg.asp?fid=61&tid=142478804&mid=142478804&sid=902&style=2
  15. Malcolm Brown hasnt committed to Texas yet, hes planning to committ in August. There is a rumor going around on the Texas message board that he favors Alabama right now. But I agree with you, if Brown does go to Texas then that will only help sway Aaron our way in the end.
  16. +1 good point, and I love that about our staff.
  17. He is probably one of the hardest kids to try and get a sense of what he's thinking. Who knows maybe by the time the season comes he could be a husker. If he was really going to go to Texas he might have committed already because Texas seems to push in-state kids towards committing early, but who knows.
  18. I suspect USC was pushed out of the picture when Ol'Petey left. Stanford? Cal? Really, this could get interesting.
  19. Definalty fits the mold for the PESO back.
  20. I defintaly agree, with official visits, in-home visits could get intersting. But I think we are going have to wait later than september to get the next DT. It will either be Todd Peat, Todd Barr, or Mickey Johnson. Even though we are high an all of their lists they all are still interested in other schools and will visit those schools. I see us trying to grab atleast 2-3 receievers in this class. Only one RB (take a guess). Maybe 2-3 DE's depending on if they are big fish or not. One more OL (most likely a tackle). DB's will be very important in this class, so I would expect 3-4 or more.
  21. Is pretty darn good in my opinion, I dont think I have ever been excited for a class as I am with this one. Could be a special one. Come on home Aaron Green. I am excited about every kid in this class right now, all 7 of them. I just wanted to get that off my chest!
