  1. I heard he is now leaning toward Stanford. I heard that too, he is now a soft verbal and he is considering stanford, harvard, yale, brown, duke, and Penn.
  2. That'd be my list as well. Well said. I agree great list but it's to short Norton Rasco Coe Hankins would be be ok additions to the list that would be awesome! I forogt to add kameel jackson (Jamal Turner's HS teammate), I would like to see him here.
  3. 1. Aaron Green-Do I really need to explain why? 2. Kevin Williams-A top flight DT can be hard to find now a days. 3. Wayne Lyons-Put him in the defensive backfield with corey cooper, andrew green, and lazarri middleton could be fun to watch. 4. Evan Spencer-A playmaking WR could make things easier on offense. 5. Jalen Grimble-Fierce pass rusher, could be a beast under Bo and Co. Who do you want?
  4. ESPN has some crush on ol'sweater vest and father urban, I hope they see how big of a game nu-ut is and come to Lincoln.

  8. He looks like a safety/linebacker hybrid. Or maybe a WR.

ummmmm......I highly doubt this is the case. ... could be but you never know, and i'm not saying i'm right here... just throwing in a speculation... there's no way to know where the kids is in who he likes right now other than what secondary sites and reports state (which are sometimes way off). He might have lost some respect for them because of how the whole quincy russell and his uncle situation unfolded. Its still goin to be a Texas Nebraska battle for him no matter what. We are lucky that Ron Brown has been on Aaron since day one and made a strong connection with him and his brother.
  11. I agree with Lee being 3rd at this point, he will probably move ahead of Arnuad IF he is starting in the fall. I dont think the person that wrote this knew that Chris Brooks graduated. http://www.foxsportssouthwest.com/04/12/10/Ranking-the-Big-12-North-Quarterbacks/landing.html?blockID=214573&feedID=3742

He is scheduled to be in Lincoln today with his coach and a teammate.
  13. kevin williams, alex dixon, aaron green, gerrod holliman, jalen grimble, jphette matilus, devin smith, quincy russell, kids who havn't been offered yet.
  14. What will probably hurt Tyler is the fact that he committed early on, and some one that comitted so early and is solid as solid could be doesnt sell subscriptions.
  15. He still has not been evaluated by Scout, but I fully expect him to be a 4 by the time they get around to ranking him.
  16. I think Diggs is a solid commit to Texas
  17. New teaser on Texas's rivals site, I wonder how they do stand with Quincy at this moment? I hope Coach Green and Quincy are upset with the way Texas handeled this...

I agree. That's Texas though, they do it all the time. Mac Brown never even has to leave the state for recruiting. They bring in these kids from all over Texas for Jr days, Camps, and the Spring game... get a bunch of people in their ears... tell them how many spots they have left and then pressure the kid buy saying if they don't commit in the next couple of weeks they will lose the spot. It's Texas. That's how they fill up a class before season even begins pretty much. There was a report last month that Coach Brown called up Hakeem Flowers out in the Carolinas, gave him a verbal offer, and wanted him to commit over the phone. Flowers said he needed to take visits first, Brown said that he would give flowers a few weeks but if flowers didn't call back he couldn't promise there'd be a spot for him anymore. Brown also told Quincy Russell that Texas currently has 3 spots left... 1 for DT, 1 for DE, and 1 for RB. They stated that their top choices for DT and RB are Quincy Russell and Aaron Green... you can bet if these guys aren't committed by fall Texas will pressure both of them to make a decision. I personally, think that will turn Aaron Green off. And if we are paitent with both these kids, tell them to take their time, and encourage them to go talk it over with their families and think about it a while before making a decision... I'm willing to bet the recruits will see the difference, respect it, and go with the nice guy. ... then again, it is the dark horse that is Texas, who knows what will happen. New teaser on Aaron Green from texas site, apparently he likes the offense....I hope you are right, they both seem like smart kids who will think this process out rationally and take their time. In the end I bet that will pay off for nebraska. With Ron Brown and Tim Beck in these kid's ears it could get interesting.
  20. I'd like to believe that Coach Green's relationship to Andrew might help us land Quincy. At least Quincy will have someone he knows by association here in Lincoln. As for Aaron, Nebraska was always going to be in the mix for him, because of Andrew. Either way, I'm not stressing our DT prospects. We're going to get 2-3 quality DT's in this class regardless, with or without Russell. The buzz is heavy right now for that position thanks to Suh, and a lot of quality kids have genuine interest in Nebraska because of it. Taken from a Texas board. Wasatch Horn Post #1985 MyFanPage Add Buddy Re: Quincy Russell makes #19 Reply Getting Westerman killed all the disappointment I had. I am a bit concerned about some of the comments coming from coach Green, it really leads me to believe that he is in much tighter with the Nebraska coaches then I previously thought. If this is the case, then landing Aaron is going to be tougher than I thought. Posted on 4/7 11:40 AM | IP: Logged Sounds like there is concern we may get both Russell and Green!!!! http://texas.rivals.com/showmsg.asp?fid=61&tid=141900007&mid=141900007&sid=902&style=2 jeez texas fans tells us how you really feel...

I suspect Jalen will wait awhile, he said he wanted to make a birthday day decision so lets hope his birthday isnt Feb 3..... But the way Texas handeled the Quincy situation is not fair to the kid. Reminded me of how South Florida handeled the brion carnes thing. Quincy didnt pull a curtis carter or tyler gabbert on texas he was flat out honest with them and they told him they might not have rrom for him anymore....texas putting pressure on a kid who is making a life long decision doesnt seem right.
  22. He probably thinks it's roughly comparable or slightly less impressive than his other favorite school . . . Texas. I still think it will be on of the top o-line classes in the country. I hope you're right. If NU can get nearly equal OL prospects to UT we're doing pretty well.

  24. Longhorn fans arent to upset about him decommiting, interestting what the last two posts have to say about Quincy and Coach Green..... http://texas.rivals.com/showmsg.asp?fid=61&tid=141825892&mid=141825892&sid=902&style=2
