It’s time for Frost and friends to focus on the task at hand and to stop talking about the past.

It was in an interview. Im sure he doesnt sit around all day ruminating on past staffs and administrations.  Is there any room at this point to question the focus of this staff?!  Frost gets to have a small beef with fans if he wants also. He knows first hand that our overwhelming passion isnt always milk and honey.  Winning will put all this editorial nonsense to bed and give the media something better to talk about hopefully.

I’d be all in for Enter Sandman. I don even care that Va Tech has been using it, it’s a great song for this. Heck Sirius was used by the Bulls before we started using it. I don’t mind Sirius and it still gives me chills when I hear it but imo Enter Sandman is the absolute best for an entrance.

Why not just one up them and use something from Kill 'Em All or Ride the lightning. I remember when NCAAF let you put in your own stadium sounds I replaced the 3rd down defense music with motor breath, but thats maybe a little too fast for a walk. For whom the bell tolls or seek and destroy would work well and have a good deal of mass appeal.

There are have been so many good suggestions in this thread. Whoever said Rammstein, I would be down for so many of their songs, but yeah would probably have to be instrumental.

  3. Ok, lets really piss some people off. Just do the instrumental version and no one would even what it was tbh. The drums remind me of a very simple version of drum corps so I think it would fit the college atmosphere.  Obviously a pipe dream, but the team would get hype for this guaranteed.

  4. The throws to the sideline were not the issue with Riley's/Lang's offense. They were executed poorly and read incorrectly.  I dont know what they were teaching Lee to read on those RPOs but he seemed to get it wrong more often than not.

Frost has shown that he knows how to get players to execute on those plays and can run them when we have an actual advantage.

The VA HAS, and it’s exactly opposite of empirical data. Much higher suicide rates.

What do you mean by this? The VA has not approved or studied marijuana in any form as far as I'm aware. And yes they do have insanely high suicide rates, partly because of their archaic stance on drugs. Their stuborness and ignorance cost so many lives.

You keep talking about studies, but the problem is that the government is only barely beginning to allow marijuana to be studied and still its a huge hassle because its still schedule 1. If you want anecdotal evidence then just look around you. Half the country is using it and functioning just fine. Also just because someone is relying on a drug doesn't immediately mean that its terrible and is ruining their life. I'd like to see how this country functioned if they outlawed caffeine for 1 month.  Everyone has things they use to cope. Some people just have the unfortunate circumstance of relying on something that is caught up in political BS and misinformation.

Ok, it was a sellout in the sense they sold all the available tickets but not everyone showed up to the game. Thanks for the feedback and I will try to hit the mark the next time. ;)

So ~60k people bought tickets and didnt show??

What are the chances Scott gives a 'salute to the past' wt an option play to start the game out with???

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe a nice triple option out of i-form.  But it seems a little silly with no live QBs.

Chasing Riley will not help him

any. If Riley thought he was capable, he would have pulled his RS in 2016 and he only played in 2 games in 2017.

The joke he is making is in reference to that very situation, where the transfer qb was allowed to play even when doing poorly.

Does kind of imply that POB would be the starter.

Does this imply that we can go back and serve crow to anyone who is wrong about a starter this coming season?

  10. I doubt anyone is rooting against POB, but as soon as Gebbia committed he got the backup QB treatment where he was the answer to all our problems and leap frogged POB for most fans. He seems like a hard working likable kid so it makes sense why people are more on his side. Everyone in here is just taking guesses at which QB they think is better so its natural for some bias to leak in. If POB does go somewhere else i hope he gets a chance to play. He really has one hell of an arm.  If i were to guess probably the best we have on campus right now.

  11. The 09' B12 championship game was more than just the second added back on. The fact that Mack Brown even had the power to make them replay that was insane. I seem to remember maybe one other time ever that a game has ended and then got reviewed for time.  That and some really questionable calls throughout that game (including a phantom PI call) and the following year pointed to what on the surface seemed to be a pattern of bias. I would bet big money if the teams were reversed we would not have got that second put back on.

@PasstheDamnBallGuy Yeah, that's where I go. I kinda miss Third Base, to be honest. They had enough screens that they could easily be seen from any seat, while at Sam's Boat, half the seats you're looking waaay across the restaurant to see the screen. Third Base just got too crowded after Ohio State started having their watch parties there (supposedly Sam's Boat asked them to leave for being too rowdy). Then again, it probably would've been fine later in the season, as small as the Nebraska crowd got to be. :(

Yeah I noticed those OSU fans were encroaching at Third Base when I was there.  I usually make a point to go out for the opening week game, but with how excited people are I imagine I would have to get there pretty early to get a good seat this year.

On a side note I really enjoy the emails from the guy who organizes it. He had to try really hard to pump sunshine last year.

Ditto this rec. I watch all the games with the Austin equivalent, they're all on TV. Looks like this is the spot for Houston: "Watch parties are at the Fox and Hound Sports Bar located on Westheimer, approximately 1 miles west of Beltway 8 between Wilcrest Dr. and S. Kirkwood Rd."

Which place do you go to in Austin? I saw a few games at Third Base up north, but havent gone since the moved it to Sam's Boat. Mostly because I didnt want to watch the games in public after the first few.

What are Moos and Frosts stance on this? I NEED the chair

Agreed 100%, Seeing Fleck with that chair really pisses me off for some reason. Moos seems like a man of the people.  I would bet he would be on board with something the fans support this much.

I thought it was total BS that TLee started at PSU, after not practicing (or very little) all week.  POB should have started that game.  Would we have won, hell no, but give the guy who got all the #1 reps a shot, FFS.

I think that the PSU game was definitive proof that starters were deiced at the beginning of the year and locked in after that. That was complete BS.

In the article Ben says he weighed 260lbs at the end of last season and he is at 278lbs now.

Yeah that puts the timeline a little longer than the 2 months in the post that I quoted.  I can easily see someone gaining 20 LBs after the season is over. I'm sure most players run lean during the season just because its a grueling process with playing and school, but there is no way that is 20 Lbs of muscle in that time. Gaining pure muscle weight takes a long time. Especially for someone who was already pretty jacked.
