He still in the league. Yeah i would say he did fine.
They did show on SNF that he was like 120th out of 122 CBs according to PFF grade, but agreed either way even being the worst CB in the league means you are doing well.

I think it’s a mix of Rhule running his Twitter account while on the road recruiting, and a staffer when Rhule is back in Lincoln.
Oh yeah I could see that he def is getting some help at least because his tweets before he got hired were very ummm different.

Coach Rhule’s emoji game is strong
I have a strong feeling he is not running his own account. Which is a really smart idea. Whoever is running it has been doing great.

Rhule has confirmed he WAS interested in offering Mickey before the arrest. No way to know if the contract details would have been acceptable to Mickey but it's obviously a moot point.
Pretty sure that the wide receiver coach is known but waiting until current team is eliminated
If it is Daily we might have to wait till after panthers play bucs to really get eliminated. That division is one of the worst I can remember.

While you might say this is looking at the glass half full I could agree with you on the o-line. If you get at least one solid transfer, Nouilli back, and Teddy fully healthy, it's possible that we could potentially see improvement at 3 out of the 5 spots right off the bat.
Yeah I mean if people want proof it can happen just look at kstate. Klieman is a defensive coach who brought his fcs oline coach with him and took over a team without a single 4 or 5 star player. Early indications are that we hired a well organized adult to oversee the program and he has a track record for turning around programs.

And now with all him and the other additions over the past week we have gone from 60th to 44th in overall class ranking on 247.

It what fits his system!
Yeah it seems like it, but I watched a lot of Temple and Baylor and I have a hard time pinning down exactly what he wants to run on offense. I dont have a ton of technical knowledge though and its hard to see from just the broadcast view. I'm hoping to see a lot of pistol read option and RPO with some H back and then run a lot of PA off that. Definitely from the QBs we are going after it seems like at least for the next couple years he wants to use the QB as a running threat a lot.

Taking the eighteenth best QB in the portal doesn't exactly move the needle much for me...
https://www.on3.com/transfer-portal/top/football/2023/?position=qb
His star rating is the exact same as Adrian and Casey from last year and barely below Penix. He has a stronger arm and CT and AM, but he is definitely in that same range of QBs that you can win with but won't be superman and carry your team. If Rhule is a good coach he can win with QBs of that caliber. From what I saw of his Baylor teams he has won with worse QBs.

If Matt Rhule can develop him as a QB, then you all deserve the rewards. However, we (Georgia Tech fans) are glad he is gone.
Let me give you the low down…
1. Nice kid
2. never progressed a Tech (could be coaching)
3. Geoff Collins gave him veto power on bringing in other QBs that would be competition. You all will call this BS, but it is one of the many “wtf” things we have discovered since Collins has been fired. Oh; Collins takes after Matt Rhule. Collins is probably the reason he is going to Nebraska.
4. Soft doesn’t like to be hit
5. Great Arm strength.
6. Great Speed
7. Horrible foot work
8. Decision making that will have you questioning your insanity. TD/INT ratio. Not very accurate
9. Not a leader
10. Quit on the team this year. He was medically clear to play for weeks and was taking 1 reps in practice and then refused to go in the game verse Miami when it was a one score game. Father even told him to go in the game at the stadium.
11. Will miss a lot of reads, locks on to a receiver.
12. Him running the RPO is like watching a train wreck in slow motion.
If he is your starter next year, I hope he progresses or it will be long and painful.Welcome to the board. Thanks for sharing your opinion. Im gonna have to call some BS on #4 though. I watched through a lot of his reps and yall ran him on QB power a pretty good amount and he lowered the shoulder on defenders quite a bit. I definitely agree with him locking on to receivers but I'd say its more rare to find college QBs that dont do that.

Yeah think HCMR definitely is going to change the offense.
He seems pretty open to run whatever offense and the rumor was recruits were saying we were gonna be more RPO based next year. From listening to Rhule talk and seeing the QBs we are targeting it def seems to me it will be heavy run focus including QB runs.

Sims seems to have a decent arm and is big and fast. Could be solid in an RPO offense with a lot of QB run mixed in.

Arkansas hired a HS coach a few years ago to be there OC/WR coach. Gus Malzahn. He turned out to be great hire. Great coaches can be found at all levels of football.
Eagles also hired a HS coach and in under a decade he was HC and they won their first SB.

Yeah sure Ed is a HoF player but Wald really was gonna be the hardest hitting safety in the history of NU. He was just gonna turn players into dust.

Hopefully has some TCU film. Did he play this year? Never saw him.
Come one man. Like I know he didnt come in and get 10 sacks, but he got after the passer this year and helped disrupt a lot of plays. If you actually didnt see him you didnt watch.

This video along with that other instructional video emphasize that the Safeties in this D HAVE to be able to cover or the deep middle is a weak spot. Syracuse seemed to lack coverage talent at S and gave up big plays, I am hoping that Rhule and Co can recruit a bit better S talent to NU. That all being said, I don’t see that weak spot hurting NU ad much in the B1G, except for OSU, MU, and PSU. I would say Purdue, but not sure who replaces Brohm yet.
Well Rhule combined with Cooper turned some 3 star DBs into NFL talent at Safety so hopefully they can do that again. And also yeah agreed that most teams in the B1G cant really exploit that. Even Michigan has been spotty at that. Sure they have done it a little this year but a couple games over the whole Harbaugh era does not give me confidence that they can do it going forward. PSU hasnt exactly had QBs to do it either for a little while. We all talk about needing a defense to stop B1G offenses, but its not like we have some juggernauts.

Rhule has a clear history of picking young, talented, under the radar hires that grow into good coaches.
Yeah I think this is the thing. He has already proven he can win in p5 with these coaches. He didnt have to bring in a wow staff to win at Baylor. As far as I can tell he is getting young energetic coaches that are imbedded in key recruiting areas for us. Recruiting is about building long term relationships in the areas you want to pull kids out of. Notice what Rhule did as soon as recruiting opened up. He went on a tour of key Nebraska schools to start building bridges. If he has proven he can win with and develop young coordinators then it makes sense to bring them in and then you have a full staff spread out to get players from where you think you can. I think this is why we made a run at Elijah Robinson and Schumann. Trying to get our foot in either the south east or Texas.

Should move us up to 5th in the B1G and 25th in the nation in overall class including transfers. What a huge jump we have made in a week. I think we were 60th overall and 10th in the B1G.
