I don't want them to win any games or anything, I just think injuries suck regardless of who has them.

So I guess to clarify - I feel bad for the players. I do not feel bad for the fanbase or coaches, every team has to deal with injuries and Ferentz doesn't deserve a narrative of "he doesn't have a lot to work with!" because he is a measurably terrible OC. Not that it's a widespread narrative anyway, but I suspect that's what Kirk would say.

Lol. I feel ya. Luckily for those teams our sentiment means nothing. But yeah, in no instance do I celebrate injuries.

lol ahh, that’s fair. Hedges my statement but still believe the NCAA would take any dirt on  Harbaugh annd investigate until they finally “get” him. I’m not a Harbaugh guy at all, but seems like they have an axe to grind compared to other shady doings. Or maybe Harbaugh really is just a sleaze, dunno.

    Could very well be both.

I don't think I am in the minority here but I want the best talent NU can get.  I don't really care if they messed up in the past or if they mess up in the future.  As long as they are good for NU!

Sounds like my family during Christmas.

Agreed. This is the Osborne way.

Even if this is even on NIL alone OU is a vastly superior program and has been since 2000. It isn’t even close.

Thank you for the history lesson. A good coach will sell a recruit on the vision of the future and use it to their advantage. Like being part of the awakening and having an early impact...

If I were a top recruit and I had the chance to go to that game...dang right, I'm on that plane.  But....I really hope that's all it was with him.

All accounts would say that that's all it was.

Really enjoyed the Stanford game tonight. Biggest comeback in Cardinal program history. Shut out in the first half and wins a shootout.

I watched the first two touchdowns, then checked the halftime score and saw 29-0.. and I was like damn ok. So glad I checked the score with 5 mins left in the 4th. What a game!

Love that idea. Might have to spin some designs up. I’ve been sitting on the domain www.gobigthread.com for awhile.. may have to put it to use…

I don't generally buy the idea of a "must-get" recruit, but he's as close to that as I can think of. Lacy is a dude, and (pending some injury recoveries and decisions) our scholarship RB room next year is:

Gabe Ervin rJr. - officially has an injury history so tough to count on, and the limited on field production hasn't yet matched what we hear about in practice

Emmett Johnson rSo. - Starting to show up, but needs to prove he can be an every down guy

Kwinten Ives - RFr - Time will tell but not ready for a role as a true freshman. Which isn't a knock, but I'm not just going to assume he's ready for a major role in 2024

Obviously guys develop, and we can get someone from the portal. But I don't think we could find anyone as well-rounded as Lacy if we had to replace him in the class this year, and there is a huge opportunity for a guy to come in and play right away. Hopefully that's appealing to him.

Agreed. Obviously, stars aren't everything... but there's no reason we shouldn't be bringing in at least one 4 star + running back in a class. When you look at what we've got in the stable most are 3 stars across the board.

What Tony White has done with the defense is remarkable. What I have found interesting;  he’s done it with mostly the same guys the previous staff had.

So is the offense woes more of a coaching thing or is it the players we have?

To some extent I feel like improving an offense is more difficult than a defense, but the mental errors and turnovers are as bad as ever.

So my question is do we need to wait until these current players are gone to see an improvement or is Satterfield missing something fundamental to get this offense moving?

I get your point...and I have my suspicions about Satt...but undeniably injuries are a major factor this year. Why the injuries? That's another bag of worms.

In all seriousness...there is a kid from Underwood HS that is super under recruited...he's an absolute beast.

    Jaydon Foote 6'1" 315 IOL/NT

This kid has impressed me way more than brix or any other iowa prospect...

Iowa has some talented kids for prospects this year...not quite as top heavy as nebraska...but definitely quite a few future D1 guys...

    Jaydon is that you?
