You guys love throwing these massive assumptions out there with zero comps. This has never happened. Nobody has ever had a transfer class comprised of 40 blue chip prospects. None of this has any basis in reality.

Lol I understand but what I am saying is that this will be a massive overhaul by the next HC. I am not saying Nebraska is bringing ten 5 stars with Urban in the first class, but I certainly could see 2-3 (HS & Transfer), and the rest being mostly 4 stars. His staff would consist of top notch dudes currently coaching right now, who would bring their guys over. Add the transfer portal, and he will bring in 10 highly rated guys easily. Before you know it, the number doesn't seem so far fetched.

We are talking about Urban freaking Meyer, the man who changed the trajectory of the entire BIG conference by the way he recruited. Maybe that number is a bit wishful thinking but Nebraska lands in the top 10 if they hire him. I would guarantee it.

And I would also guarantee 10-15 guys leaving the team next year who will have eligibility in 2023.

I agreed with that for sure just the whole 40 guys part. While I feel he would have no problem bringing in absolute talent 40 guys would definitely say alot of you guys suck get off the team im running the show now.

It might be a slight stretch, but I have to imagine he would tell 15-20 guys to leave the program. It's a lot of open schollies.

Yes, that's completely reasonable. Not at all a fantasy.

Combining the regular class and transfers... it's not that much of a fantasy. The dude would recruit 5 stars and get them.

The recruiting class this year will end up being huge.

Nope, you are wrong with that thinking.  That is why we pay big buyouts since Coach Callahan,  buddy.

So, if USC and UCLA can join the Big Ten Conference (unimaginable!!)  and OU and Texas can join the SEC  (unimaginable!!)   ...and college football players can get paid quite handsomely (unimaginable!!)....  then you can most certainly do w h a t e v e r  you want to do as a University AD, including a one year deal.  If they say no thank you, then buh-bye and best of luck finding a WR job.

I am being honest, 4-5 wins the rest of the year could be a handshake for a one year deal between both parties (UNL/AD and HC).

    no.

Since when are Utah and Bowling Green hotbeds of talent? He's a huge name who elite recruits will come to play for. As soon as he's hired kids will be in the portal wanting to play for him, while meanwhile he recruits his own guys. Home run.

No kidding. There is no rebuild with Urban. He will get 40 guys with 4-5 star status to take over immediately. He wouldn't come in with rebuild type talent.

To who? That schedule is weak. Their toughest game is Texas, whose down to a backup QB. They easily win at least ten games with that schedule.

Idk to who. I think Texas for sure, but OU is not that good. First year coaches will slip up and true freshman LB's will eventually get exposed. A few teams will play them well. Just watch. If I am wrong, well then I am, I don't care lol.

Is anybody’s blood just boiling right now about this absolute crap show that Frost was running ?

Chinander never deserved a P5 job , or Ruud or Travis Fisher.  The former offensive assistant clowns never deserved to be here either.

How did Frost leave this program in worst shape than Mike Riley ?

Just great that Frost and Chinander can run off with millions.  It just ain’t right.

I am so pissed off still. I was irate all day yesterday.

Love his posts of guys squatting 800 pounds of guys squatting with crappy form. It translates really well to the field.

And most of it was of guys who suck, and weren't contributors.

Ehh, I feel like a lot of people are basing their opinions of Duval on the offensive line's performance, but a lot of that is due to all the weird, excessively tall linemen that Austin & Frost recruited. Only so much you can do with guys who are the wrong body types to begin with.

    He ruined Ty Robinson.

  10. Maybe I have been drinking too much. But it just kills me to see this. I love this program and want players to have fun again. I envy my dad who can recall all the glory and I poured so much of my life into this program like the rest of you. I am physically detached from the state but it has always felt like an extended family and simply a source of passion in life where passion is hard to come by. I love Nebraska and today, for the first time, I turned the tv off and felt bothered. When I see a true freshman looking like a world beater, I know it’s about us and not them. This cannot be the fate of this program. We care too damn much. I just can’t believe we are here. I just can’t believe it.

Sorry man, but I don’t think this an accurate take. They’re fast, strong, and we’ll-coached. If they avoid injuries to key players I think they’ll run the Big 12 easily and make the playoff.

Time will reveal it. Either way, that performance was horrid. Our team gave up and I don’t understand how anyone can live like that.

  12. I am so pissed off still. I would kick so many players off the team. I would fire the line coaches immediately, and possibly Fisher too. You can tell that not only did players quit but so have some of the coaches, and they did well before this game. There was no pride being shown or used in this game. That OU team is not that good, and it makes it even more embarrassing to witness it. This season is a waste of time. I will not watch another game until next year. I see them losing out, and I just cannot waste that time anymore. I feel bad for Mickey. He has a complete dumsterfire on his hands. The streak should officially end. I don't care anymore. I trust Trev, but this product is agonizing.

This is so pathetic to watch. These players have had their athletic careers ruined by being instructed and led by horrible coaches throughout the years. Scott should be damned for what he did to this program. On national effing television, a QB runs for a touchdown to tie the game, and the Nebraska Cornhuskers wilt right then and there, with three quarters left to play. These players can go with the coaches, and it pains me to say that because I am always pro players. But they wanted to leave after that score and I just can't wrap my head around it. This program is filled with soft and idiotic people working within its walls.

I understand that players aren't playing the way we would like them to.  And I understand that the coaching let everybody down.  But some of these kids are playing their hearts out.  Honestly games like these are great for teaching.  They're full of coaching opportunities.

Winning is good for that too.  But that's not going to happen today.  So instead of crapping on the players who were out there and whining about the players we don't have I choose to support the players we do have.  There's not much that can be done right now.

I would argue that they're not. They have quit, and this is the softest I have ever seen them. They are probably going to cry in the locker room.

  14. I am going to stick my neck out a little here. I think Trev has been working on something for months, and there are things guys on the current staff already know in terms of their future here at Nebraska. I think the coaches he wants have been vetted already and understand that they cannot bring their entire staff over and that we have guys in place for them, and they agreed to it. Joseph, Beckton, Applewhite (possibly Busch) are great recruiters and developers that any staff would love to have. No brainers if you will. If it is someone like Matt Campbell, I am sure he knows he cannot bring his entire staff, and having those three makes it even easier to transition over. I think it was chess all along.

You're not going to let Fidone walk

You're not going to let Ajay Allen leave

You're not going to miss out on Omarion Miller, Barry Jackson, Jaydin Doss, and maybe Malachi Coleman and replace them with middle the pack WR recruits.

These hires were never about Frost, and more so about the new guy and the future of Nebraska football, and I believe deep down, Frost knew it too.

And if anyone mentions coach Raoila, well it didn't matter. Trev is going to hire a guy who can coach the lines, and so that hire was more disposable.
