I am trying to decide if I am heading to the game. I have tickets if I want them but I don't know if I can fit it in next weekend. If they were better tickets, it wouldn't be a much easier decision.

Looks like mother took the fall for Brionte. So it either is hers or she is an enabler so that Brionte can get away with this garbage.
I hear she has a bad case of Glaucoma
I find it funny and sad they believed Dunn when he said it wasn't his. Do you really think he would admit to it? I wish I would have known to blame stuff on my mom at college when encountering the Alliance police.
If Dunn was as polite as the police said he was throughout the traffic stop, why did he get disorderly conduct? I see him getting a vacation from the team for a while.
-
Well, if he does play he probably won't fumble much. I heard he has sticky-icky hands.
Maybe Dunn should take some of our WRs to Alliance to get some

He wasn't arrested but cited. Note to Dunn, stay out of Alliance unless you plan on transferring to Mount Union.
NUance, I think he will/was going to get playing time. The coaching staff was very excited about him in the spring.

In your situation I would see the following:
Definitely in :
Ohio State goes 11-0
Oklahoma goes 11-0
Alabama goes 10-1 losing to Florida (wins the SEC)
Debatable :
Virginia Tech goes 11-0
Michigan goes 10-1 losing to Ohio State
LSU goes 10-1 losing to Alabama
Out:
Boise State goes 11-0
I suspect they would look at SOS of these 3 teams to decide which one deserves the #4 spot - and I suspect ACC will get hosed again with it really coming down to Michigan and LSU, starting the next chain of conference realignment
Just nit-picking here but I don't see how, if OSU goes undefeated, Michigan can only have one loss to Ohio State with the same amount of games played. Wouldn't Michigan have to play OSU again in the CCG?

The article does touch on some good reasons why OSU might bounce back faster but Smith is an idiot and should no longer have a job at OSU
-
Well that was relevant.
One bad action doesn't negate being the coach with the 2nd most National Championships in history nor all the philanthropic things he did either.
It was about as relevant as other things in this thread.

81,112 people attended the next public practice (the Spring Game)
When the stadium holds 106k, 81k makes it look not so full.
It was funny to see Miller before the game take part in the drill at mid-field.

I say move it to Omaha for good. They do a great job hosting the CWS so there is no reason to believe they can't host the big 10 tournament at TD and do a great job at it. However, I don't see how this would help recruiting nor should that factor in the decision.
Jaws--they can't host it in Omaha every year, as the MVC has an agreement with TD Ameritrade to host their championship tourney every other year. So the best the B1G can do is to have their tourney hosted when the MVC isn't in Omaha.
Frankly, I think rotating between Omaha and the nice minor league park in Columbus isn't a bad option, to be honest. It keeps us from becoming that which we loathed, infuses a secondary importance to Omaha, and it gives the B1G a much-needed boost in baseball publicity.
I guess I didn't know about MVC using the field. The espn article said they played their tournament there last but didn't say they would continue playing the tournament in Omaha. I just don't see them drawing large crowds in Columbus, maybe they would, I don't know.

This went down hill fast.
Is there any football program, in all divisions, that hasn't had someone get in trouble on their team?
-
Was Casey Anthony in attendance?
Is she a student?

Michigan would have killed you that year.
Yeah . . . no.
Its alright. I tell my friends that are Michigan fans that Nebraska would have killed them that year.

Eddie George got 7 more yards vs Illinois in 95. To be fair George had more carries and had Pace to run behind.
8 more carries than Helu to be exact.
Helu averaged 11ypc.
George averaged 8.7ypc.
Tommie will accept delivery of his Heisman at Mr. George's convenience.
Unlike other years, there were more than one deserving of that award. However, George won the Heisman and Tommie Frazier won a NC. If you asked either one which way they would have liked to end that season, you know what the answer would have been. OSU losing the last 2 games really sucked. John Cooper could recruit with anyone in the nation but he could NEVER win the ones that mattered most.
I'm just giving you crap. No harm meant.
No worries. I don't get worked up over Internet message boards so I don't take anything said on these things personally.
You also had this play vs Missouri that really had no impact on the season.
Michigan would have killed you that year.

Not many RBs in the history of college football have had a better afternoon than Helu did against Mizzou. Have any?

Maybe a big payday in the NFL, or Notre Dame.
I highly doubt he ends up at ND and I think OSU can pay him just as much as ND could. He didn't want that job the last time it was open and I am sure he doesn't want it now.
-
I'm just saying its a whole lot more fun when a bunch of different teams contend for the conference title. I really enjoyed this season because of that.
I think you enjoyed this season because your team didn't end up in the champs sports bowl.

Basically, if you are an OSU fan you like Urban (not the pre 2011 Urban), otherwise you don't like him and want him to fail.
-
Most OSU fans love the idea of going to the Rose Bowl, but if you asked most of them, they would rather have the Buckeyes playing in the NC game. I think it is the tradition and the fact that no other Big 10 team has made it to the BCS NC game (I know the huskers were in it but that was pre big 10). I am sure if multiple Big 10 teams would make it into the NC game the Rose Bowl would be little less important. It is still a great place to end your season. This isn't a knock on anyone else in the Big 10 and I am sure teams like Michigan and Nebraska feel the same way about the Rose Bowl.

Good point. Also Lebron moved to Florida. And he isn't a tOSU alum. I have no idea whether he has a daughter.
While I love LBJ and what he did to Cleveland sports fans, I would say he is more of an Akron guy. I think the zips receive a lot more money from LBJ than Ohio State will ever see from him.

In all seriousness, nobody can hold a candle to their athletic department.
That's because all their candles are being used to burn couches.
I think that is what they do at WVU.

4. I still hate Ohioans as a group, I think this comes from my years of living in South Carolina where from March until September they invade in droves of millions driving either 20 miles over or under the speed limit in minivans stuffed with clans of pale poorly dressed, pasty overweight tourists that love either 1. Thinking they're Southern because they vacation in Myrtle Beach/Charleston or 2. Thinking they're better than every Southerner they encounter because they're from Ohio.
This might be one of the most true statements I have seen in a while. I hate Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head Island because of this. Well done.
-
I think that article sums up all OSU fans really well. We are all full of ourselves and arrogant pricks.

20C. I haven't sat up there for a long time and usually like to sit a bit lower. My uncle likes to get his season tickets in C deck for some reason and he didn't like it when they moved him down to a lower section years ago.
